Me too i have this problem for many years now and i have sought help from different doctors but all they say it is nothing with you. you might just imagine and i really feel pain in that situation. I thought before it was only me who had this problem i dared not even talk about it with someone because i thought it was a shame to say it.But now I know that many others also have this problem.may god help us everyone who suffer in that situation.it is really painful.😭😭
To anyone watching this video who has swallowing problems: I recommend a visit to an ear, nose and throat doctor (ENT). They have throat doctors as well as speech language pathologists who specialize in disorders like dysphagia, and can administer tests where you eat food of different consistencies to gauge your swallowing ability. They can also give you swallowing therapy if you need it. I've had dysphagia for over a year now, so I know how difficult this problem is. I urge you to get medical help ASAP if you have any trouble, because if left untreated, dysphagia can often get worse over time.
I've had Dysphagia for like 3 years now. i lost alot of weight and went in a hospital and almost died. but its gotten better I can now swallow most food. but Its still a struggle a little. :3 and I gained like 40 pounds in a year so I'm back to the healthy weight!
Justinhulk Did you ever find out what was causing your Dysphasia? Just curious because I started having issues in June and have had every test done and everything came back negative with the exception of GERD which they said isn't the cause. I still can't swallow solid foods unless they can easily be broken down but now they sent me to a physicist because they said they've done all the testing and nothing is wrong😞 I've lost 31lbs in 2 months and I am slowly starting to eat some foods but fear the sensation of chocking but at least I'm getting my energy back with the little I do eat and plenty of smoothies and ensures.
I use cook vegetable and put it in the blender. I made my own vegetable soup. I cannot eat solid foods. Hard to swallow the same symptoms as mine. My fruits i have to used a electric juicer instead of eating fresh fruits directly eating by mouth. I cannot eat peanuts solid.. i can eat peanut butter. Potato chip is not my pleasure foods anymore. I drink a lot of water, before i just drink water so few. Thanks for this Amazing healthy tips. It would be helpful for me..
Soo I eat then i try swallowing but it won't go throught till i drink something at the same time. Everytime I swallow and in fear of choking i like glitch or move my head to the side fast then turn back. I was just at Flanigans and I couldn't eat my family said that it's all in my head. Now after trying to eat a bit i feel something in my throat. Like it's bothering help. Its been going for a couple of days😰😰😰😰
Whenever I eat or drink anything, I have a hard time swallowing it. It takes me a very long time to eat my food but I am never hungry. I’m scared to see a doctor because they aren’t really helpful and they’ll just give me medicine that I don’t want to take. My mom gets worried and she just says it’s all in your head. I’m scared I can’t eat or drink normal like before. Whenever I wake up, I feel the same. This is the third day for me and I feel like I can’t really eat or drink a lot of things. I try to swallow but it feels like there’s something stuck in my throat that won’t let liquid or food go down smoothly like last time. I’m very scared and don’t know what to do. 😭
I’m in the same boat you are. About five days ago I began having trouble swallowing, and I’m now at the point where I only feel comfortable drinking smoothies. I see you left this comment a week ago. Have things improved since then?
Yes things have improved. I figured out I was stressing and thinking too much about things. I didn’t want to go to see a doctor because they aren’t helpful, but I have been listening to relaxing music which cleared my mind. I tried not thinking too much and try to relax. After listening to relaxing music for a few days, I am now eating and drinking normally now.
Was there ever something in your throat? Did it feel like it was poking the back of your throat? Or? And since your comment is from 9 months ago do you feel any better and how long did it take and what did you do it help?
@@mxteozx all my research and I’m own experience it’s something in the beginning that’s real but after that’s gone it’s just our heads panicking and making us get that feeling and sensations in our throats this shit sucks and it’s been almost a year for me in getting better tho lost about 100 pounds tho
@@user-db5zc1gp6t I've lost like 7 pounds in 2 weeks because of this it's so bad i hate it. I just feel like swallowing is HUGE STRUGGLE and i have to prepare myself for it and then sometimes I feel like i just cant do it at all. it makes me panic, plus this lump in my throat after eating isnt helping. its not just food either its both, because i overthink it instead of letting it happen naturally. fuck
I think you should go see a specialist (speech language pathologist) before you modified your diet. You may have a swallowing disorder that may required of only a few changes in your foods.
If you are experiencing difficulty swallowing, you need to be evaluated by a certified speech-language pathologist (SLP). You could be putting your health in serious danger by taking this advice without getting a medical evaluation beforehand.
Good video this. Why don't they teach family to do this in hospitals. They send family member home that has dysphagia and tell their relative/s just to get on with it in UK. For example, when elderly mum comes home her family have no idea how to help her with meals not alone prepare them.
My son has had h pylori then he couldn't swallow he has almost 2 years he can't swallow most food he's dropping weight I'm scared and finding myself losing weight to I'm so stressed all exams come back normal
you can go to my food channel Michelle Gibson Food theres allot of healthy soups you can blend and juices and healthy suggestions to improve digestion😊
Please see your doctor if you are having trouble swallowing so you can have your swallow evaluated by a Speech-Language Pathologist, someone who specializes in dysphagia.
No dysphagia patient should ever eat lettuce! Ice melts to water which can slide down your trachea into your lungs, resulting in aspiration pneumonia, eventually.
I can swallow my antibiotic. Maybe I'm still young or what I don't know. But I am just having trouble because sometimes I take a short time or a long time to swallow. So when I can't swallow, I will try to stop and try again, so after that I can swallow already. Omg...
I've had swallowing problems since I was 13, when I eat food I have to chew it for like 30 seconds. so when ever I go to eat fast food with my family. I'm always left with half the food on my plate when all of my family is already done theirs.
You are pronouncing it "Dysphasia" which is an acquired language disorder. Please anyone watching go to your speech pathologist/ speech language therapist rather than follow advice from a video.
Depression, anxiety or stress causes this I have it. I am praying to God to help me fight against dysphagia. Also in the mean time tongue exercises.

Joshua Delgado You're probably suffering from Anxiety. Anxiety causes swallowing problems.

Yes i have anxiety and causing like feeling stock in my mouth but its nothing
Thank you so much for these tips.💕
Throat cancer brought me to your video. Thanks for the ice tip
My speech pathologists never told me about ice
Isn't this just a bandaid treatment? You can't ALWAYS eat blended foods and meal replacements and revolve your life around finding said foods..

what if its caused by tmj and acid reflux.
I only consume liquid 48h and active exercise ..and now I cant swallow solid food.. . I feel pain when I try to swallow
it shows the nutrition info of those boxes and calories but not what it is and examples? of the calorie nutrient dense boxed foods whatever.
