BAND-MAID interact & encourage crowd participation at every venue they play whether big or small. And they don't treat their fans as just a crowd to entertain they treat them all as part of one big happy family.🤗

I know they treat me as family because when I asked Kanami to let me use her guitar for a gig she hit me over the head with it. CLANG! 🎸🤕

@@TomClark-Futoura Lol. Tom you should've secretly borrowed it without her knowing & put it back before she noticed. And even if she did notice it wss missing & hit you over the head with it when you returned it then at least you still got to borrow it anyway.😉

@@GaryHolloway-810 Actually, I think that's what I did 'cause when I came to, it was the next day. I know I took her guitar because of the lump on the head, and the hangover I usually have after gigging. So yeah, she knew I took it. 😟But I know we're still friends cause when I blew up her amp, she didn't seem to care. But I gotta go. Her tech guy, Daisuke Kondo, is coming over to see me about something important.🫤

@@TomClark-Futoura Hmm🤔 It takes a lot to blow up an amp. What were you doing, pulling Mincho's power stance with your back arched & head tilted back whilst playing a solo medley?
P.S i'm only telling you as a friend but when Daisuke knocks it'll be best to pretend you're out. It sounds like you already have concussion, i don't want you to get a fractured skull as well.😬

I saw them last May in Detroit with a crowd of around 800 packed into St Andrews Hall. Two days later I saw them do a 45 minute set at an outdoor festival in front of maybe 2-3000? ...with a Mosh Pit and crowd surfing. They know how to put on a show and it doesn't matter whether they're in a small club, an outdoor fest, or an arena. Earlier that year they started at Tokyo Garden Theater in front of 8000, I watched the live stream, and it was a sold out show. This performance of "Don't You Tell ME" was number 8 on the set list of their tour final at Yokohama Arena, the 1st time they had played such a large venue solo. This crowd was perhaps 10K, estimated counts vary but the Maids were disappointed that they didn't fill the upper decks. The Yokohama show was the first time they had performed with such elaborate risers and a runway that extended to the middle of the arena. I also watched the live stream and I believe "Don't You Tell ME" was the first instance that any of the band had walked down the runway or used the upper risers. Saiki OWNED it and so did Misa and Kanami. This concert was Band-Maid's dream come true. They had been planning for such a concert for years and this THREE AND A HALF HOUR LONG concert accomplished many of Band-Maids goals. If you are familiar with Band-Maid, you know that they have LOTS of HUGE goals.

Band Maid don't need an OA because their discography is massive. They did have an OA in a couple of shows, i.e., Austin/Houston shows. To me, most was primed to see Band Maid's whole show, to include MCs and, especially, Omajinai Time, Po! Seen them a dozen time and this show you are reacting to was the best. 3-1/2 hours of pure Band Maid. When I 1st noticed the 3-1/2 hrs on the menu, I did think they were going to have an OA, such as The Maiko's. But, it was pure Band Maid, and it was amazing, Po! 🦍🍌

I drove from Indiana to Philadelphia for that show. It was great. As always, they were awesome. It cracked me up when Miku started talking about having "Philadelphia Cheese Steak," "Philly" not being a part of her vocabulary yet. Totally worth the drive. Nice elderly theater. They don't seem fazed by either a small or a large stage. They make it work every time. Thanks for revisiting them, here.

This was one of their last concerts for the year at Yokohama Arena, which was filmed for a new live DVD due out later this month. Saiki rules- her vocals are great throughout have reached a new level in the last couple of years. We do the same- always there for the support bands and now follow four new younger bands.

Really enjoyed your reaction. Reactions? I’m 65 and have seen Page, Van Halen, Satriani, Vai, Beck, Santana, Trower, Nugent, Frampton, Walsh, etc. Many more than once. Kanami Tono blew me away - and Saiki… greatest charisma and stage presence I’ve ever seen. “Warning” would be a great song for you to react to.

I saw them in Detroit at St Andrew's Hall last May. The venue has room for around 850 . It was an intimate and extremely loud concert . My head rang like a bell for three days afterward. That was the ONLY negative. They were fantastic and we got to hear a very rare performance of Unfair Game and Balance ! (Rare for North American audiences). Attendees were able to buy tickets up to the day of the concert. I doubt we'll see this happen again.
It was simply a great moment in my 59 years ! So many great people of all ages coming together to celebrate the finest band of this young century ! ♥️

LOVE Saiki's two little growls in the first verse.... and Kanami's proud, loving glare towards Saiki when she was out on the catwalk singing.
This band Just Brings It! All the time.
I remember finding Lindi Ortega opening for Social Distortion here in Charlotte a few years back. She turned out to be a real gem.
I saw Band-Maid in Charlotte in Charlotte last May. Not impressed with the venue but they still kicked butt as always. Good Time Good People.

Band-Maid always puts on a great show. They did have an opening act named Starcrawler for four of their US shows last August, but usually it's just them appearing by themselves. Glad that you enjoyed their concert anyway.

The intimacy of the North American shows is nice, but it's also grand to see them go "all-out" in a huge arena in their homeland!

This is the concert (due out in March) at Yokohama Arena - capacity of 17,000. This after a sold out tour of the US for a whole year. These ladies Rock!

They played this song in Philly. It was the 3rd song and didn’t have the guitar/bass duel. 😊 My suggestion is to look up that setlist and make a playlist of it for listening and reacting.
