The government creates inflation to collect more money. Is way to "tax" the hell out of us without "raising taxes". Capital gains and property taxes, and other taxes should ve adjusted to inflation. That will avoid bad fiscal policies. Real estate, food etc has not increased in value. You need more devaluered dollars to buy the same thing that cost much less a few years ago.
Yeah, and the 2008 crash caused by the banks and resulting low interest rates to recapitaliae the markets followed by hedge funds, Airbnb, house flipping, companies buying houses like used car inventory, and real estate pricing algorithms had nothing to do with it at all. That all started in CA and is spreading to whatever markets become hot as people move. But yeah it's the inflation conspiracy.

It's cuz Texans are obsessed with Texas. I went on a two week trip and Literally everyone there owned something about Texas being tough or great... like gimme a break.
People are leaving Florida more because of climate change. You know that between August and November every single year, you're going to get hurricanes, and it's only a matter of will the hurricane hit your part of Florida, or a different part. Getting homeowner's insurance down there for a reasonable price is nearly impossible these days and some people can't get it PERIOD! Ignoring the politics, Florida is an attractive place, especially for someone like me that hates cold winters. But climate change is making it impossible. I would imagine anyone leaving Texas is doing so for the same reason, although they don't have it as bad as Florida. To me, the north east is the best area to live. We have access to the great lakes, the 2nd largest fresh water source in the entire world, we don't have hurricanes, earthquakes or tornadoes, no forest fires, nothing. Just cold winters, and when that bothers you, you can take a two week vacation somewhere warm. When you're retired, you can do like some of my neighbors do and hang out in Florida during the winter. Summers in Florida? No thanks!
Sure, it's called the after-life lol .... I'm never leaving. Born/raised here, going to have my ashes scattered in the SF Bay or Lake Tahoe (haven't decided which yet since both mean so much to me).

Been all over the US. Beautiful places everywhere but nowhere has everything California has. But idk if it’s really worth the cost now. Fortunately my wife and I bought our home when it was expensive but more affordable for people who work regular jobs.
Living in San Diego means I'll never be able to afford to buy a home. It's a sacrifice I'm willing to make, because life is too short to live in Texas.
I love SD too. I use to vacation there (not a long drive from LA) for years, but please buy a home even if you must leave SD. It’s about future planning, not present planning. You wont be able to work forever, and then what? How will you pay the rising rent and HOA if there is? There is a lot of value to home ownership. There are so many other places other than San Diego. The United States is HUGE? You ever seen it? So many beautiful towns surrounded by nature. We made the decision to move to afford a home, and it was the best decision we ever made.
@wstadlock that might be in your circle but I know a few friends that moved away years ago only to come back. Some stated that what drew them to the places changed from newcomers dramatically changing the communities they moved to. It became more expensive and also couldn't support the influx of newcomers. When it was cheaper they could overlook the short comings of their new communities but as cost rose the negative factors rose and they simply chose to return. There are instances where boomerangers are returning. I've seen firsthand.
SIngle family home mandates and housing density limitations are working exactly as designed. Supply and demand can't work when local governments are restricting the supply.

Everything seems simple to simpletons. The primary driver of housing inflation is 20th century zoning laws that mandate single family homes and restrict housing density. Progressives lead the housing and re-zoning bandwagon while conservatives lead the NIMBY bandwagon. Republicans certainly don't want policies that benefit people that work for their money.
Not everything is political, man. This is an obvious case of the founding principle of the economy. Supply and demand. More people want to live in San Diego than almost anywhere else in the United States. Demand is through the roof, and supply has to play catch up, raising the price. If people were really wanting to leave because of policy, they would have said it, and there's plenty of states and towns in this country that follow the other side that are dying (IE parts of the Deep South and many small towns).
Nope, wrong. Supply & demand are the basics of economics. Perhaps they could impose higher tax the corporate buyers who invest in housing in SD to discourage the demand since their cash is unlimited.

Why didn’t they move inward like Temecula or San Bernardino or upward a bit by Delanto or Victorville? There are homes for 400k to 500k. Yeah I left Oceanside for Temecula. I still eat California burritos at Jilbertos and hit the beach in Carlsbad. We considered moving to another state but wanted to stay near the ocean and be in So Cal. So we bought a home in Temecula. It is what it is. Sacrifices everywhere you move. Always a trade off.
I live in San Bernardino area and life basically revolves around a 30 minute drive radius. How often do you go beyond that for pleasure activities? Yes the beach is _only_ 1.25hrs away, but that becomes more of a special occasion activity than a brief 'hop on down to the beach' afternoon. And the weather sucks 2/5th of the year among other downsides. Basically, there's so many tradeoffs that for some people it makes sense to leave because they don't value what CA offers as highly
Ultra high utility costs (and going higher) $5+ gas, ultra high property taxes (and going higher), Ultra high insurance cost (all), Ultra lax prosecutions of criminals, Highest homeless population in th Country, Horrible education cost and result, over regulation on everything, Ultra high vehicle registration cost, did I mention housing cost or rent ? CA's additional costs of crime(security measures, car breakins, catalytic convertor theft) and taxes are hollowing out the middle class.

Those that moved to Nevada years ago, now find out that it's getting too expensive to even live there. That's the issue of Californians moving to other places. They bring California inflation with them.
That’s not how inflation works smh. It’s affecting everyone, not all at the same time but we are all now feeling the pinch.
Yup. I lived in Colo and now Ariz that's true.
@@magesalmanac6424 when Californians sell their homes here, they take all that profits to other states. Sellers in other states know this so jack up the prices of homes, maybe not as high as in California, but higher than it was in those states, thus inflating the local markets there. Once home prices get higher, everything else follows suite. It's happened in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Colorado, Texas, etc.

I saw another video recently that said people were leaving Florida and Texas. And said the ones who went to Texas didn’t like it.
Exactly. I guess they will head to Alabama now.
The exodus out of Florida is starting to happen just like what is happening now in California.
It's cuz Texans are obsessed with Texas. I went on a two week trip and Literally everyone there owned something about Texas being tough or great... like gimme a break.
Because people from California moved in and ruined Texas
No thanks!
I left in 2020. There is life after California ❤

4-seasons is the one reason I miss San Diego. I hate cold and snow---and heating bills.
Living in San Diego means I'll never be able to afford to buy a home. It's a sacrifice I'm willing to make, because life is too short to live in Texas.
I’ve seen several people leave and more than half of them come back
@N2UPROD seven friends have moved away from SD, I moved 3yrs ago, none of us have come back.

Rephrase to say, "How Progressive Policies in California push residents to relocate."
High costs are a symptom of poor policy.
Lol everything is political for some people
Not everything is political, man.

Yes the beach is _only_ 1.25hrs away, but that becomes more of a special occasion activity than a brief 'hop on down to the beach' afternoon. And the weather sucks 2/5th of the year among other downsides.

The ocean is the thing I want to get away from. I cant swim and a Tsunami can happen
What I love about SD/CA
SixFlags MM
Knotts Berry Farm
Legoland
Phils BBQ
SD Gulls
But I want to leave too.
You have to be a hustler to make it big in California, if you want to live comfortably doing the bare minimum wagie 9-5 then move to Texas or Arizona.
I left because I was invited to p diddy's party.
More people on earth. Same land and water availability. Land becomes more scarce. Prices go up. Nicer places get more expensive more quickly as the competition for land, water and environmental impacts becomes more pronounced. I’m pretty sure this was covered the first week of my Econ 101 class a longtime ago. How is this the government’s fault? What solutions does anyone have? Thanos?
So he’s willing to come back for California burritos? lol 😆 😂 😅
We bought our house in 2017, its a 3 bedroom 2 bath cul de sac big yard our monthly mortgage including property taxes and home insurance is 2300 dls per month. However, after covid home prices just went up crazy because San Diego became a very desirable place to live.
This state is doomed. We have to get rid of the one party rule. Might as well call us the People’s Republic of California.
Exactly, yet sheeple will still vote for fail up leadership.
Is not the party is the elites. No matter whos in power the elites/corps they lobby to get the rules that most benefit them
I completely understand why people leave because homes prices are criminally high but I think they will come back.
No we will not lol

Make sure to leave your expensive California politics in California!
Blue voters go to CO, OR, WA, red to TN, KY, etc. We will all be happier.
The question I have is, are they SD natives? Or did they move there from somewhere else? I think a majority of people moving out of state aren't native Californian.
there's very few Native San Deigans

The property taxes in California are ridiculous !! I just got my property tax bill $6350 !! A comparison Hawaii the same type of property $1650 !!
Property taxes in Red States are much higher. Because red states have much lower income taxes than blue states, they tax the shit out of people in alternate ways.
Yep. Shhhh
Try living in Illinois. Property taxes for my mom’s 1,000 square foot home is over $7K!! DuPage County has the second highest property taxes in the nation; it’s unsustainable.
Wow ! That's cheap. What do you think an "average" starter home pays on a median $1.2M 1100sqft home ?
Ain’t that the truth … Covid came around and then boom 💥 I had to leave my home of 40 plus years 😢I despise where I am forced to live now
Finally.. Some truth not sugar coated
Broke people can leave. It’s that simple. Get into business where you make $ off those who can afford to live here. Very simple.
The problem is our society relies on low wage workers. Who is gonna staff the restaurants? Who is gonna clean the hospitals? Who is gonna stock the grocery store shelves? Either lower the prices or pay these low wage workers enough to live in the area. Those are your two options.
The weather, geological features, abundance and diverse resources such as crops and goods from overseas isn’t the same elsewhere as California.
Boycott these clowns, ABC CBS Disney 60 min MSNBC unless U hate our freedoms 😢😢😢😢😢
You run from your problems and they just catch up to you later anyway. Prices will soon go up everywhere.
Vote Red
Its not red, blue, purple lol. Have you seen what a disaster Texas, Fl super red states are.
I left san diego in 2009 for Hawaii. Got married, and we went back to his home state of FL in 2015. Bought a house in 2017 for the same price my parents paid in national city in 1999 for $145k. Sold it moved to the east coast of Florida in 2019 and bought another home for $165k in an area comparable to pacific beach. I can make my own tacos and burritos so I don't miss home for that. The once a year hurricanes are totally worth it. Stay a home parent. No bills but mortgage, water, electric and internet. The simplicity was so worth it. San diego is now our vacation spot.
I'm favoured financially with Bitcoin ETFs approval, Thank you buddy.$28,600 weekly profit regardless of how bad it gets on the economy.
Same here., I strongly agree that the Bitcoin ETFs approval will be greatly life opportunity for us, with my current portfolio of $102,500 from my investments with my personal financial advisor Steven Hatzakis I totally agree with you😊
YES!!! That's exactly his name (Steven Hatzakis) so many people have recommended highly about him and am just starting with him from Brisbane Australia...🇦🇺
This sounds so good and i would like to be a party to this, is there any way i can speak with him?
Thanks for the update I'll get in touch with him right now😊
Omg 😮This is the kind of information that we don't get from most TH-camrs I will get in touch with him right now
And how many of these people have adjusted living wage?
That’s what I would like to know… I’m not full remote and can’t afford a house in my own city.
The people who kept voting blue in California are the ones to blame for this, making it too expensive to live here
Born in L.A. in 1954. The easiest way to lower housing costs in California is to STOP moving every four years and PAY YOUR HOUSE OFF !!! When your mortgage is finished the RELIEF from that is Life Altering !! To not pay rent ?........... We have been in this house since 1985 ! It's FREE ! Taxes now at $1,000.oo per year !! BEAT THAT !
