I was lucky enough to see AC/DC at the Whisky a Go Go nightclub in August 1977 on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, a small club that barely held 500 people. I was about 2 feet in front of the stage! Angus jumped up on the balcony and walked along the thin parapet playing a solo. This song Whole Lotta Rosie was in their playlist that night!!! Glad you guys appreciated it! AC/DC will always be in a realm all their own.

OK, so we have the biggest blow-up doll on earth, the greatest rock band who ever lived, in front of the greatest rock audience in the history of concerts and that's why you have absolute perfection. I love how they got 'Rosie's' feet tap along with the music, that was so damned cool! The guys were in their 60's when they played this gig back in 2009 and sadly Malcolm Young has since sadly passed away RIP.
There are a lot of great guitar players out there. But I can't think of one that can match Angus Young's energy. He's not only a great guitar player but he is also a great song writer and a great entertainer. The recipe for a great band!
My wife and I went and saw AC/DC and literally couldn’t hear for two days and I will tell you this the sweat that was literally pouring off of Angus proved to me that he put more into his performance than any professional athlete. It was just an incredible show. As for another guitarist to check out is Terry Kath from Chicago. Jimmy Hendrix said Terry was better than him. 25 6 or 4 live at Tangelwood give it a listen.
True!!!! I’ve seen a lot of concerts but the loudest ever by far was AC/DC in 1990 on the Razors Edge tour (Although up close to Priest and Iron Maiden were insanely loud too). Literally deaf afterwards lol. So awesome.
AC/DC puts on a high energy show every single show. I have seen them about a half dozen times. One time I managed to get tickets in the front row... It was awesome...
Lucky u aint see them on Powertrip cos Brian so old now & his voice & stamina is cooked & it spoils the performance. The other 4 members are still fine tho & have to make up for his short comings especially with back up vocals
@@dennism5731 Agreed. My parents wouldn't let me go because I was too young. A friend of mine said he saw them open for Aerosmith, and they just blew them away.
Love that you love AC/DC! I saw them perform this classic Bon song 7 times, twice with Bon singing. Precious memories. You like Angus' solos, try Ride On... All the best guys
Great reaction guys ! On AC/DC, if you can , watch songs in concert from Donnington. They were younger. Concert is about 18-20 yrs earlier. As far as my top 5 guitarist’s, no particular order. Jimmy Hendrix, Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), Richie Blackmore ( Deep Purple), Angus Young AC/DC, Pete Townsend ( The Who ), Slash & Eddie too. But there are more deserving of this list. But it’s a start.
There's a lot of greats , Jimmy Page, Stevie R ayvon, Jimi Hendrix, Yngwie Malmstxeen , who warmed up for ACDC of course, Angus young. That's a couple that right off the top of my head oh from Rush. Alex Lyson, Eric clapton, George Harrison, Randy Rhodes, Peter Townsend. Love you guys. Love your show Keep on Rocking!!!❤🎉
I bought my first AC/DC album when I was 10 years old, it was Highway to Hell and from the first note I was hooked. I have went through many different music styles but AC/DC has always remained my favorite rock band. I rock as hard to them at 57 as I did at 10.

South American spirit and Angus Young in stage and I am now 60 years of age! Cheers from Germany
Angus may not be one the most technical players, but he is by far the most energetic. In his prime he was running around the stage and just giving it 100%. He was by far the most exciting player to watch. Angus always went out to put on a show and make sure the audience got their moneys worth.
My fellow old guys lol Welcome to AC/DC. You’ll love ‘em. They’re rock and roll. Their biggest influence was Chuck Berry. Edit: never mind. You know what’s up
You know, Fenom, I'm with you 100%. I've never played an instrument before, but I know what I like and, while I like a lot of guitarists, Angus' guitar-playing just sounds different to me. I don't know whether it's the rhythm of their songs or perhaps the speed at which he plays, but I know his guitar sounds fantastic. And it certainly doesn't hurt that, running around bare-chested, he puts every bit of energy he has into their music and looks like he's having a great time doing it. And it also helps that the other members of the band are absolute masters of their craft and their lyrics and music are fire. And RIP Angus' brother Malcolm, of whom Angus said "GOAT? I'm not even the best guitarist in my own family". I'm not sure I'd want them as best buds, though. You do something you're not too proud of with a lady and the next thing you know, these boys are singing a crazy-assed song about it!
Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Slash, Jimmy Page - all of the greatest guitarists. BUT Angus is a great guitarist too & the BEST "Show Man Guitarists" to watch!

Corey mentioned that Angus went off for at least 2 minutes in this video. Have you done Let There Be Rock at River Plate yet? Angus does an approximately 17-minute solo in it that I think you have to see.
Great guitarists in no particular order: Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Gary Moore, Jeff Beck, Ritchie Blackmore. This is a good starting point because there are others that deserve recognition. If you want to see a great LIVE performance from the past, watch Ten Years After, "I'm Going Home", from their performance at Woodstock.

There's an amazing version of this live in Paris with Bon Scott where Angus breaks a string or something and has to swap guitars halfway through the song and a roadie comes on and straps it to him while he's still doing a solo. It's unreal.
One idiot interviewer asked Angus if he was the best guitarist in the world. He answered that there were guitarists in his family that are better than him... These are down to earth guys. Apart form Phil maybe...

70k in the crowd, filmed over 3 consecutive nights. You could power an entire city with the electricity from those concerts.
I read there was actually 200k not 70k in the crowd in Argentina @6916dog
