What happens if the fob dies? Does it have an actual key?
Yes there’s a button on side of key fob, if u press it and pull the bottom of the fob (chrome part) the key will come out to let u in the car
The battery is also easily replaceable in the fob
thanks for the video, i noticed that you opened the gas cap by just pushing it, it doesn't seem very good security
the car prob had to be unlocked for that to happen

+mo4everable smartkey access, remote start, push button start is included in a package available on the LT trim. The Premier (highest trim) comes standard with push button start, remote start, smart key access.

I believe the vehicle needs to be unlocked for the gas cap to open. Press the gas cap and it should open up.
Press the panel it’ll open.. it’s got no interior button and it took me forever to figure out how but then got mad and I punched it, lightly lol that’s when I had my aha moment

Buying Brand New Chevy Cruze Makes me Sad
Dear car customers around the world:
I bought a brand new Chevy Cruze, manual transmission, on December 10, 2016. One day after (December 11, 2016), while the car was parked at the curb, it rolled down the road hitting another car on its way down. I am sure that I had engaged the parking brake, indicated by the “!” symbol displayed in red on the instrument panel.
I’ve been raising to General Motors Corporation (GMC) this question - why is it that the said Cruze, in neutral transmission, rolled down the slope even though the parking brake symbol, “!” (in red color), is displayed on the car’s instrument panel?
The GMC explained that: “by design intent, the parking brake warning lamp on the instrument panel (!) will illuminate with the brake lever is raised to the first detent position (first audible click). However, this warning is not an indicator that the parking brake has been fully engaged. Specifically, the Chevrolet Cruze Owner’s Manual Instructs the owner to pull firmly (on the lever) without pressing the release button, in order to engaged the parking brake correctly. The primary purpose of illuminating the park brake warning lamp, even when the parking brake is not fully engaged, is to prevent the operator from driving the vehicle with parking brakes partially engaged.” (letter sent to me by GMC dated April 11, 2017).
I disagree with the above explanation by GMC. I maintain that a technical deficiency persists between the engagement of parking brakes with respect to the warning light (!). The Cruze Owner’s Manual does not state anything related to partially-engaged and fully-engaged parking brakes with same warning light (!) displayed on the instrument panel.
I am submitting GMC’s explanation, as quoted above, for your views and comments. Thank you and drive safely.
I'd say that makes sense. I mean, if you're parking on a hill, you should make sure that parking brake is ALL the way engaged. No car company makes a fool proof car. It's kind of common sense. I think GM did a great job with this car and your issue sounds like a user error. I'm going to be buying one next month.
you don't park on a fucking hill, what where you thinking. if you would've bought the automatic instead of the manuel, you wouldn't have had that problem. but the main problem is you parking on a hill on the side of road. that's not where your supposed to park anyway, it's supposed to be in the driveway. that's on you not GM. i have a 2016 Chevy Cruze myself, but i got the 1LT because i don't need push button start. but it made sure it was a 6 speed auto.
E Brake, turn off car, then put it into gear. Youre not supposed to leave it in neutral on a slope

These cars powertrains are junk! Take it from. Some one who owns one! 38000 miles my pistons went bad 68000 my transmission i own a second gen never abused driven daily like a grandpa ! DO NOT BUY WITHOUT EXTENDED WARRANTY !
