There are those that let their tyres down, drive through easily and those that don’t. This is why many 4*4 tracks are being closed due to the damage done by inappropriate tyre pressure. Some say I let them down to 25psi and can’t go lower lack confidence and should try 10psi. Don’t forget to let your titres down on the trailer.

I think the biggest hindrance for trailers in sand is brakes, they really need the trailer brakes completely disabled.

For anyone who hasnt been, only a hundred metres from where this is recorded is a bitumen 50kmh road. Nobody pulls into the shoulder lane to let the air down. Saw it myself, 6 cars in front all drove straight in. I pulled over to air down and after I drove in 5-10 minutes later, 3 were bogged.

Great series, very funny considering the, little Suzuki got through fine, but the others could not spend 5 minutes adjusting their tyres before getting on the sand.
In sandy areas, you need to reduce the tire pressure to 10 in order for the car to move comfortably and you will not need four-wheel drive, and this is from my personal experience.

New luxo 4x4s don't have much clearance and soft suspension drags the guts pretty easy. I prefer my Tojo Rigid axle FJ 60 over my work Car comfy Prado for sand work. Give me petrol power over Dieisel on the sand any day
