As a Wolves fan during the 70’s I understand these battles I used to go to away matches back then got rocks thrown at us getting back to the coach, you used to run for your lives but I would never go to the Den wasn’t brave enough

Was there that day, only 15 years of age! The Millwall mob had knives, and my arse was going to be honest. The police bottled it big time! One of the lads had a knock on the head that day and lost his life! Rest in peace, Robbie M! To be honest, Swansea had a good go! Severely out numbered, we did split and panic, but initially, we made a good show of ourselves until the knives came out. I dont know about you, but I think the majority of fans would be off on their toes at the sight of a very large mob waving knives around freely! Whilst the old bill disappeared out of site!

I was there that day and arrived a little late, as did they. There were about 50 of them not 100. Most of them were skinheads and I walked up with them to the back of the cold blow lane end. They were recognised immediately as they were mostly skinheads. They didn't put up a fight. They were punched and kicked all the way to the front of the stand. They climbed the fence to get on the pitch but that was not the end of their ordeal. As they were walking to the away end they were attacked by the millwall lot in the seats and worse was to come. The bushwhackers were in the Ilderton to give them more punishment. Sadly a swansea fan died that day. Were they brave or stupid? In my opinion they were stupid.

100 boys on a good day, no runners, better than 400 boys like linford christie, you run, you have a kicking on the way home, and could never show your face again. Mostly only one coach, really tight bunch of lads, who had your back. But that was 40 years ago. No firm name bollocks. just known by the pub they drank in.

Remember going to Swansea with Chelsea when they would have been promoted if they won the game. So many Chelsea fans turned up they forced their way in through a door., police had to move fans into the area left empty to keep fans apart as it got so packed. A few scuffles broke out and some Chelsea fans were taken away by police. When going home on train, first couple of stops as soon as pulling away up popped Swansea fans throwing rocks at the train, next stop some Chelsea got off, not sure what happened

I was at the OD ref Bristol City game. Any honest Millwall fan will respect Bristol City who had a good firm in the 80s and 90s. Under rated club by most. Banning orders and prison killed it though. Football is different nowadays.

Absolute bullshit, we were one coach, got to the ground late and we went on their bank, no one else with us.
Millwall laid into us, we got broken up with some climbing the fencing.
A mate of mine and myself tried to walk around the backof the stand to try to get to the away end but 30 Millwall sitting in the stand saw us and some of them had blades and were going to use them, two plod who were there bottled it and legged it and shut the doors of the part of the stand they were in leaving the two if us stranded.
One old man, a club steward ripped into the Millwal, slagging them off for needing to pull out blades for the 30 of them to fight the two of us
      He probably saved our lives.
