    Good stuff.
    I wanted to know the best method to add parts to a quick rig, (like bones for hats or weapons), and if the quick rig is game production ready?

      I use quick rigs and the full Maya rig to go into Unity. Unreal has the ART tool that you can use in Maya. Which engine are you using?

      @@creatorbrew Unity is my engine of choice. I wanted to find out if Quick Rig is a clean and flexible way to make game ready rigs for characters. I assume you can easily edit skins or add extra parts/ limbs before comiting to weight paints?

      @@NoxideActive sorry for delay... you can just build bones onto the quick rig... those bones won't get IK handles but you can move them (for attaching hat with parenting)... here I attach eyes th-cam.com/video/YS6P9OBzc8Q/w-d-xo.html The skin one I did recently (last last week?) ... I had a bunny with ears... 1) Quick rig 2) create bunny-ear bones with adding joints 3) select the skin and then select all the new bones 4) skin > add influence then see if you have to "paint weights" to smooth out the new skin influences ie flappy ears.

      @Noxide what type of actions will your game characters need? Run jump dance and that sort of things or more expressive with blendshapes?

    Hey, can't find the next video on quick rig you're mentioning... did you make it? This is truly useful, Thank you for the content!

      What more would you like to know about quick rig? What are you trying to achieve? Let me know because there are other paths to getting things rigging and moving in Maya and Unity and etc.

      I also have this video that does go into a little more detail but not the full QR flow. th-cam.com/video/W9489Uf4j9c/w-d-xo.html

      ... besides that link this goes into "how to add more things to the structure like fingers th-cam.com/video/YS6P9OBzc8Q/w-d-xo.html " and then there is also things like adding ears for a bunny which quick rig doesn't automatically do but you can do manually afterwards using skin>add influence...
      There is also pixcap.com that is saying they will release a tool soon (in next few months) that will let you do bipeds (humans) and fantasy characters (non-humans) and that might be also another fun way to approach all this rigging. Maya is currently a good way to relate other rigs via the Human IK th-cam.com/video/lrJGXzzh5DE/w-d-xo.html that then will get you a control rig for the fingers... it is actually easier than this video (there is a short cut) but the 4 min video isn't too long to do.

    thanks sir how about the hands do you have advice for us

    • @creatorbrew
      @creatorbrew  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The hands 🙌 can be done by making its own rig and connecting it to the existing rig, though at that point it would be better to use the HumanIK full method to get hands and whole body

    I have a problem pls answer me. Im follow your step done rigging and binding. But when i move a hand it back to normal position right away, it like a magnet. Everytime i move something it always back to the first position. How can i fix it?

    • @creatorbrew
      @creatorbrew  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      keyframe... select the hand or whatever you are trying to move. Then press the S key. (lowercase s). You can turn on Autokeying afterwards (right side icon below the timeline). Then move in time... move the object (hand) and press the S key again.

    Thx for the video but how can you rig more than one character

    • @creatorbrew
      @creatorbrew  ปีที่แล้ว

      Rig each in own Maya file. Save. Then import into main screen. It is the quickest / simple way to deal with name spaces.
