But when she wanted to evolve, they were clearly holding her back and still trying to push her into maintaining the party girl persona, which was disingenious. She clearly has real talent. And I don't see how her voice is bad? It's pretty obvious she's got some pipes, she proved that numerous times. And the reason her latest album didn't do well is because it isn't commercial sounding and the label didn't promote it as she was leaving the label after its release anyways.
So did you hear any of her singles from that album released last year? I saw several serious music critics put her songs in their top best of the year. (Haven't had the time to listen to them yet though)
Kesha's ultimate legacy is inspiring the name of one of the worst social media platforms today. Of course, that will only go so far until TikTok eventually dies: how many people remember Vine, Myspace, or Friendster?
If she's not busy maybe she can just be on Helluva Boss again... There's money now in being a beloved furry icon Also if you're conflicted about watching Helluva Boss or Hazbin Hotel give them a shot and judge them by your own merits. I didn't really want to go anywhere near them for a long while because of the stuff online but I ended up really enjoying both. Helluva Boss also has Richard Horvitz (Zim from Invader Zim, Billy from The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, among others) as a member of the main cast and a vocal director and I have no doubt he has a huge influence on the brilliant performances. Bryce Pinkham also really stands out as Stolas. Hazbin has an all-broadway/disney experienced cast and the music is great. Basically, if you like musicals & or animation, don't miss these because the fandom/discourse online can be cringy. I certainly wasn't gonna stick around to find out! But the next time I walked through those woods at night, IT WAS BACK! Seriously, I think I made it real mad ^^
I wish I could say I was that clever, but I hadn't thought about that until later. The premise of this video started as "somehow I stumbled upon Kesha's Twitter and I think it's really funny, I think people would enjoy this".
Her last album literally didnt chart good, because Sony sabotaged everything about it. No promo, no anything.. its an album, that goes into details about the last 10 years (lawsuit), how she was silenced and the abuse she endured (as much as she could say) . You should definitely give it a listen. It's a masterpiece.
One does speculate that the insanity spectacle among performers would be reduced if the record labels and their contracts weren't as they've historically been.
8:47 that's how record deals work lol. Label lends the artist money to make an album, and until it recoups that figure you don't earn royalties. Although nowadays you could easily have a world class sounding album with 20k and the right skills.

Songs like Tik Tok, Timber Die Young etc. were always just tongue in cheek party bangers. I don't think that was all the label's doing either, it was just the music she wanted to make at the time.
0:12 That reference 💀
Kesha with the comeback of the decade to this channel
Gag Order may not have done well commercially and on the charts, but I honestly think it’s a masterpiece
So did you hear any of her singles from that album released last year? I saw several serious music critics put her songs in their top best of the year. (Haven't had the time to listen to them yet though)
Kesha's ultimate legacy is inspiring the name of one of the worst social media platforms today. Of course, that will only go so far until TikTok eventually dies: how many people remember Vine, Myspace, or Friendster?
dude none of this is unique really, you’re being to harsh on her. she’s just a standard 30 something woman.
I always figured Kesha became Quinoa
If she's not busy maybe she can just be on
Helluva Boss again... There's money now in being a beloved furry icon
Also if you're conflicted about watching Helluva Boss or Hazbin Hotel give them a shot and judge them by your own merits.
They're worth the watch
Sorry for going on a completely unprovoked rant about that, I'm drunk lmao
Actually, I wear overalls a lot and I often think "I bet one of these days one of these straps is gonna land in the toilet."
But, I'd just wash it 🤣
EDIT: LOL I also was in the woods once and made owl sounds. I made owl sounds because there was actually an owl nearby!
Apparently, my owl impression was spot-on, because that thing TRIED TO LAND ON ME!
Either that, or I accidentally called it a slur in Owlish and it wanted to remove my face.
I certainly wasn't gonna stick around to find out! But the next time I walked through those woods at night, IT WAS BACK! Seriously, I think I made it real mad ^^
I can't believe you called it that 😢.
With a hard OO as well 🤦♀️
Not saying Dr. Luke didn't do anything to her. Kesha has always been outlandish, she is cute but nothing special.
Not the Chris Brown comment 😂😂😂😂
Hey Buckley, did you yourself take that picture of the mayonnaise bottle, or is there actually a stock photo out there of a Canadian Hellman's bottle?
That Chris Brown joke tho lol
Tweeting rainbow returns with Kesha who once released an album called Rainbow? 🌈 clever Buckley
Actually I have started to like Kesha when she made the album last year
You should do a top 10 Worst genre and make Manele the first on top 10!
I'd have to imagine the reason Kesha got into Fortnite is because she wanted to see what inspired the instant classic Chug Jug With You.
how did i predict this weeks video would be about kesha?
7:29 I chuckled and got a little vodka in my nostril
Buckley please pin this comment and I'll never listen to kesha again.
Looks like you still would
@@MrAllmightyCornholioz oh man you got me.
One does speculate that the insanity spectacle among performers would be reduced if the record labels and their contracts weren't as they've historically been.
0:18 I feel called out.
Buckley I AM making salads, you never gave me an answer: garden or caesar?
I'm a Ceasar guy. But I'll eat a garden if that's what's offered, just to get some color on the plate.
8:47 that's how record deals work lol. Label lends the artist money to make an album, and until it recoups that figure you don't earn royalties. Although nowadays you could easily have a world class sounding album with 20k and the right skills.
Something very strange is going on with Kesha.
Kesha's songs are bops idc. Music has shifted form owning into streaming and the artists got screwed by this. Now it's just a popularity contest.
“Another woman beat by Chris Brown”
🤭
Remember when TikTok was just a God awful song being thrashed on the radio
No, I don't really care about Kesha. I just enjoy watching people fall apart on social media.
It seems like in the music and entertainment business either half of them come out normal and the other half were sexually, mentally or physically abused and they have mental breakdowns one way or another. Fucked up the shit people go through and no one ever steps in if they know what’s happening.
The tour bus thing kesha did seems more rude than anything, and the tweets are just cringe at worst (the motorcycle one is probably safer than it seems).
