A short game I made for a GBG troll level contest a while ago

The fire flower has a tiny animation for pulling out the gun, that's such a nice little detail
Also the trolls are hilarious

If it is, that's pretty neat.
I'm normally not a fan of troll level design, but these trolls are reaaally creative and hilarious. I kept expecting some obvious hidden block or protruding spike to kill the player, but it was something unpredictable and unique each time. Kudos to you and your clever design. :P
Fr! The best troll levels are the ones that are a lil annoying but still fun and creative that aren't just "randomly jump and hope you land on a single block" type stuff!
@makoto naegi at the end of the day most of them boil down to "pick the right path or you die, except we made the death mechanism look cool and complex so that you praise the level instead of calling it trash"
This is honestly so charming and creative
wouldn't really call it creative considering theres a million 10+ year old flash games using this exact trolling-platformer style, but it is cool seeing it remade in this game

The unfair mario levels were so fun especially when you could play with other random people and grab them midjump or slap them off platforms

Would recommend checking out the Mario Maker community, especially CarlSagan42
A lot of modern troll levels in that community are amazing, and all the big troll level creators have subtly different styles that make it so much more diverse

This game looks fun, i absolutely love level making in mario maker 2, i wish i heard of this sooner
This feels like a WarioWare boss. I love it.
A troll game that resets you back to a previous level on a loss is kind of insufferable, but this was cool anyway.
I think its fine here since the levels are short, and aren't that hard to figure out. Even with resets, this will probably be beatable within 5 minutes.

Lmfao from the start, the Fire Flower shooting you only for you to gain the power of gun after collecting it is genius.
Game needs checkpoints between levels. Otherwise, almost perfect!

How did you make the pink blocks at the start semisolids?
They aren’t really semisolids as the bush isn’t able to pass through them if it jumps from underneath. Semisolids in GBG are definitely possible tho, I’d recommend checking out this tutorial: th-cam.com/video/_mO_wmRuvIg/w-d-xo.html

I made a game that looks like a 2d platformer but when you try to move, you move forwards and out of the world. After that it moves you to a 3d platformer

i remember around 2012 a mario flash game where mario could equip various weapons but it seems to have been wiped off the face of the internet because after hours of searching i can't find a single bit of it anymore and the computer i searched it on is dead due to hardware age and me going on various sketchy websites for games
