I live in Setúbal and I have mixed feelings when I see this type of videos. If on one side I really get glad that the city gets known, on the other hand I just think on how bad it gets for locals when tourists come in at an high rate - housing prices will continue to shoot up (more than doubled over the last 4 years) and gets impossible for local people to live here...and if "setubalenses" don't live here, you won't get "that feeling". Anyway, it's a nice place indeed. Cheers!
Thanks, Ricardo. From what we've been told from realtors, it's not "tourists" that are pushing up the prices, it's Lisbonites selling there and moving south. - Josh & Kalie
@@ExpatsEverywhere don't believe what you are told be realtors, of course they are going to say that. You are a big part of the problem, time to accept this
It’s like that everywhere around the world amigo ! From San Francisco California , to Koh Samui Thailand ! People looking for paradise and when they find it , it’s like a gold rush , all moving in and ending up destroying it ! It starts with inflation , rent , then overpopulation , pollution , then , crime , drugs , unemployment! And this will end with another rush somewhere ! Soon we’ll have to move to Mars! Oh wait , I think we are already going ! Boa sorte ! 👍
The ‘Lisbonites ‘ are moving to Setúbal and other smaller cities because of rise in costs caused mostly by expats , moving in to Lisbon at record breaking speeds from England , Germany , France , China, USA, etc ! Who can blame them ! Everyone is looking for paradise but for the locals it’s not about retiring in the sun , it’s about day to day survival !
Too bad you guys didn´t showcase Tróia and Arrábida range, for me, it´s impossible to think of Setúbal without thinking of Tróia and Arrábida !! Also, the commuter takes about 1h from Setúbal to Lisbon but there´s no risk of catching traffic on it, it has comfortable seats with AC on every carriage and crossing the 25th April bridge on the train and enjoying the view for me almost makes it worth the ride.
Sorry, we're visiting Tróia Friday and couldn't get the drone up because of wind to show the range, however, for us, these videos are more about the cities themselves rather than the regions at large. Thanks for the feedback though. - Josh & Kalie
@@ExpatsEverywhere I hope you get the drone up. You will be amazed what you find. Follow the coast. The Sado Bay is amazing. Just outside Setubal there were orangeries with a type of orange grown only there "laranjas da baia." The best oranges I ever tasted.
@@ExpatsEverywhere Troia is definitely relevant (maybe an addendum?) because locals can take the ferry and just spent the day there and enjoy. In terms of perks to living here...walk to the ferry...15 minutes to incredible beaches and beautiful walks along the coast. The return ferries run until quite late as well. Enjoy!
@@luminousscope5956 there’s no addendum to TH-cam videos. We went to Tróia after we shot the footage for this video. We filmed vlog style there but haven’t used the footage yet and maybe we won’t to be honest.
Setubal is a great place to live. Bought my apartment 2 years ago after 3 months hunting for a good place. The town is fantastic. Has a sublime food market and a secret fish market for people in the know. Cost of living very affordable. nice people and surrounding.
I say our city is a little gritty and a little pretty. We have a great community here, but housing--rental or purchase--is scarce. It's getting really tough (lots of my clients want to be here). It's such a hidden gem--and you don't need a car! :)
A little gritty and a little pretty, we like that! Thanks, Shanna. Let us know if you wanna met up tomorrow (email us at info@expatseverywhere.com). Thanks for the comment. - Josh & Kalie
Setubal is very interesting…I like the actual “Portugal” feel of this city. Thanks for doing this video. All the locations you’ve visited have been filled with lots of great info.
Thank you very much. We LOVE the Portuguese feel of places. It's what makes a place so charing. You're very welcome. Thanks for the support, kindness, and caring about us. 😊 - Josh & Kalie
I live in Setubal, it's an incredible place to be, amazing value for money and so close to Lisbon, add to that the best beaches in Portugal are in this region as well as the best national forrest and you have a very compelling argument to live here :)
The city of Setubal and surrounding areas (Palmela, Arrabida, Quinta do Anjo) are very well establish for decades among the portuguese people for wonderful weekends, beach day out or holidays. Fantastic flat sea to swim, amazingly good sand, vibrant vibe all around (not sure now with pandemic and restrictions) food heaven places all prices and ranges and list goes on and on. So, when you guys say it is an upcoming area, that`s not true unless you talking about mass tourism. I do hope tourism keep visiting the area but at moderate rate.
Setúbal definitely ticks all the boxes for me. Living in a place like this is the best way to integrate and savor authentic Portuguese life. I like its close proximity to Lisbon, the cost of living, weather, seafood, beaches, outdoor activities, and that you don't really need a car. Thanks for presenting this hidden gem, I so appreciate the good information. P.S. When do you normally post your viewers' survey for future destinations, I seem to have missed them.
Hi George D! Thanks for sharing your wishlist. We usually post it after our Live streams. The poll stays active for 48 hours and then we plan our logistics to get to the next place. 😅 Coimbra was the winner for Central Portugal - Josh & Kalie
Another small town on the Stlantic south of Lisbon Is Sesimbra., A fishing Village but also a summer escape for Portuguese especially from Lisbon as it’s so close but yet so far from the big city. It’s definitely worth a visit and maybe a day at the beach. They do have some hotel accommodations and a resort that just opened, and general housing including leases etc.
Love the high-energy and enthusiasm! Moving quickly from point to point with a summary really works well! Looking forward to the same from other interesting places. Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback, Brian. We're really happy to hear it and glad to know that what we're trying to accomplish in these is working. We'll try to keep improving them and we're nowhere near a finished article. - Josh & Kalie
Great insights! Setubal is on our short list - appreciate how you back up your opinions against a checklist of what’s important for your family situation. Really enjoying the virtual tours!
Glad you enjoyed it! It's only on our radar now too! We love PORTO, you know? But, Setúbal could be an interesting place for us to consider. Thanks for the feedback, Kathy. - Josh & Kalie
The local police are no longer allowing cars on the beach road for some of the beaches due to parking issues and the difficulty of emergency vehicles getting through. Buses can get to all the beaches 15mins - 25minutes from the centre depending on which beach.
Guys , great videos ! As a Portuguese now living in Canada and also who has lived and worked ( not only passing through as a short or medium term tourist ) in a few other countries , I’d recommend getting a local Portuguese person to be part of your vídeos , someone who can show you places and explain the things that you are missing ! Believe me , you are missing 80% of what’s around you ! Ask more locals to show you ! There are hidden gems everywhere in Portugal that only the locals know ! Good luck and keep up the good works! Boa sorte!👍
Thank you very much! We hope that North America is treating you well. Not sure what you mean about showing us places and explain things that are missing as we're giving an overview of a variety of cities and towns. Showing us places that only locals know about would be a separate piece of content. - Josh & Kalie
@@ExpatsEverywhere Overview is a key word when describing your videos. Great content, but it's impossible to go into great depth and detail and the nuances of a place without local guidance and knowledge. I think this is what LM was referring to.
Second time I have watched this video since Setubal is on our now very short list. We will be coming from Philadelphia, and I was going to say "gritty" may be the word you are looking for, and I see others have said this as well. I do think a little grit makes things more interesting. Thanks again!
@Kathy Kaz, you had me at Gritty yo! I'm a Philadelphian currently stationed in Spain. Hope to retire in Portugal when I retire from the 🇺🇸 ⚓. Fly Eagles Fly!
That's what I was thinking. When I traveled Mexico, all of these people directed me to San Miguel de Allende. It was like Bariloche, Argentina. Pure tourist, only English spoken. It didn't take me long to bail back to Guanajuato and Queretaro.
LOVE SETÚBAL!!! I have such fond memories of it as a child there. Great to hear it being less expensive. THANK YOU for the flash back of childhood memories!! 💕
There are 3 citys and a small town that you guys need to visit, and all in the northern Portugal: Guimarães, Braga, Viana do Castelo and Ponte de Lima.
Thanks for sharing this video. It is always nice to hear good things about your country. I also lived abroad a biga part of my life. I think Portugal has good and bad things, but maybe something that I think it is important to mention is that portuguese people are very sympathetic, they always say hello and help if you ask for... The food is nice, but I think you should check seafood like "Ameijôas" or "Sapateira" or "Massada de Peixe", these dishes are cooked in a portuguese way, which you might like. I also agree with the car, it is easier to live with a car in Portugal, due to traffic, buses might get late, and via car you can enjoy amazing views like the ones provided when crossing the bridges. Some places can be cheap if you know where to look, you can have lunch in Lisbon for 4 euros if you know the tricks, and there are many cofees, restaurants, bars and discos to enjoy. If you like to live in a calm place without traffic and space, Setubal is nice. Another thing about Setubal is that in 2 minutes by car you can enjoy the forest and farm life, which is super calm, there are beautiful beaches if you go down the road to Algarve, some hidden by the trees. In Alentejo there are beaches that are so beautiful that you may relax you spirit, like the "Aivados" beach or "Zambujeira do Mar", the places where people from Libon pass the change of the year. The water is cold compared to the mediterranean sea, but one thing that I like is that you can work and study at the same time, or take online university courses. You might find more english speaking people in the Algarve, the architecture there has some arabic influence and things are also calm. And the portuguese shopping centers have lots of things like cheap cinemas compared with the US. I hope more people like you decide to move to this country and that you enjoy this country. Godspeed.
Thanks for your comment, Carlos. You'll notice if you watch some of our other videos that we comment on some of the very things you talk about here. We unfortunately can't pack everything into every video and keep it under 20 minutes. 😅 There are many people like us that are contacting us about moving here. We just arrived last week and finding our way around. We took our bikes so it easy to go around faster. Last year (March 20) we planned to make our move from Amsterdam but Covid postponed our idea, especially with our kids need to go to school. We are filmmakers, travelled and produced in over 100countries over the last 25years. Coming here for more rest and outdoor living. I believe there are much more beautiful buildings and areas to show the variety of this lovely city but like you mentioned the budgets aren't high these days 😘 thanks for the great job.
Very pretty area, only so far I'm still happy with the area we chose (Caldas da Rainha). For those ex-pats wanting a car - it's an easy process and the same as buying from a dealer in most countries. We bought directly from Nissan and chose the 2021 Juke. Dealer helped with insurance and yes if we weren't being frugal, we would have bought the Mini - which is the perfect sized car for European cities. OH...and the land transfer tax is surprisingly high (almost cost the same as the car).
But at least the anual property tax is peanuts compared to any 1st world country In my case i pay 1/1000 of the value of my property per year. By the way great choice, when i was kid my family went on vacation in a nearby city call São Martinho do Porto.
This is my city Setubal !!! I’ve not been visiting More then 2 years because of the pandemic!! Hopefully 🙏 next year … I can go back visit my parents and the rest of family!!!
Really found this video to be both informative, and helpful. Setubal, and neighbouring areas have been on my radar as somewhere of interest, but yours is the first video that I’ve come across which provides really useful information. Thank You!

I lived here all my life. It's very interesting to see my city from the eyes of an expat: It's well connected to Lisbon. Express busses take 40 minutes to "Parque das Nações" (old Expo 98)
The best in Portugal. At least right now in international contest the Palmela/Setúbal region win most prizes comparing to Douro and Alentejo region. The negative thing was they rise in the price like they rise in popularity, i use to buy one bottle of Dona Ermelinda Freitas (with +3 years of age) 10 years ago in Pingo Doce for about 1,50€ and right now is impossible to find for less than 8€.
Thank you for this video. I plan to visit Setúbal soon. A good video on Portugal (in my opinion) would be where should you live in Portugal if you don’t like the wind. I’m a bit north of Cascais now (Alcabideche), and after a year here, I stopped going out. The wind is so strong, especially in July and August, that I simply don’t want to be outside. So we need to move…
We're here now. Loving the 'Stoob' vibe! a Christmas market is in place. We like the Troia area too. We might make this 'our home'. There's Uber here and it's flat - we're English... we walk. Our progress.... we've got our NIF, getting our bank account next week, and will be viewing apartments.
Nice series for people thinking about moving to Portugal just like me. Could you also show every new locations with a map? Audience will have better idea how far from the major city
Definitely, I will try to visit Setúbal. :) I was reading that some local artists like the area and have some street performances. Are you feeling this vibe?
Cool! Thanks for the comment. Honestly, we haven't seen a ton of street performers. It's certainly not as much as Lisbon or Porto, but it's a good vibe down here and we've been able to spend several days in different areas of the center, which has given us a more even opinion of the place. - Josh & Kalie
It’s a beautiful town but the area is one of the best in Portugal. There is the fabulous beaches around comporta which is largely unknown to non Portuguese. Arrabida is lovely and Cabo espichel on my favorites in all of Portugal. Rents are not inexpensive but about $700 for a decent place more or less in the city center, according to idealista. One bedroom.
Thanks for sharing! The place we stayed in would probably be €300-400/month if it was on the mid to long term rental market. It wasn't in a decent place nor was it a decent apartment. - Josh & Kalie
@@chicagomike effectively in a social housing block outside the city center. It was the only place that accepted dogs. As if Pincho should count. He’s barely a dog. 😆- Josh
And Beleive me, Yes Car is Good if you want to see Arrábida or Palmela. But the beach you don't need Car. You can go with bus. Because if you try to go to the beach with car maybe you don't have space to put the car, thats why i advice the bus. ;)
The city is good. Every city has positives and negatives. We saw a lot of positives to Setúbal. It would be really nice to be there in other seasons too. - Josh & Kalie

Hi Guys, Not sure if you will see this but wanted to share. I'm looking at a place to rent for a few months in Setubal (through a friend) and so thought I'd do a bit of research via TH-cam. I've seen some that make me think I may not like it but this gives me a different vibe. I know you posted this 3 years ago... but I did want to share that there is apparently quite the 'expat' community there now. A good friend of mine moved there a few months ago and she absolutely loves it and the community of Americans and other immigrants to the area. She loves the artsy vibe and all the musicians and live music. I met the woman I may rent from and both of them say that it's about a half-hour to Lisboa. And there are easy buses within Setubal to get around. I'm not quite sold on it yet... but this might help me make up my mind.
Great and useful video! It was fun that you guys collaborated with Leo! He also makes super videos. I've always have been interested in visiting Setubal but still have been after many trips to Lisbon. Fingers crossed, I might go to Portugal in September or October and will definitely visit Setubal. We considered Setubal as a potential place for us but because I remote work my wife wanted to take advantage of being able to be in the best weather for her which is one of the reasons we didn't stay there. But agree, its a lovely city that we also called it wrong until a Portuguese person got very confused when we said "Setubal" and laughed when they realised what we meant and corrected us very quickly. Stubl it is :D
@@izabellavianna5464 We are currently based near Faro in the Algarve. It is pertty much always warm here and cools slightly in winter. The only downside is it can get very moist in winter but so far its been pretty great.
Focusing on the city gives a restricted view, the bigger picture here is the Setubal Peninsula. The coast road from Setubal to Sesimbra with the sea on one side and mountain covered in trees is spectacular. Sesimbra is a lovely town right on the beach. Further north is Caparica, it has a massive beach with a very long promenade (at least a few KLM’s), great for walking in the cooling breeze off the Atlantic. A great place for hiking and horse riding is the Parque Natural da Arrábida. The pousada in Palmela town has fantastic views by day and by night, you can see Setubal to the South right up to Lisbon to the north. Brilliant shopping centers or “forums” in Setubal, Montijo, Almada, Coina, Rio Sul. Of course Lisbon with everything it has to offer is just 40 mins away. In summary anywhere is a great location on this peninsula. I’m speaking from experience, our place is in Quinta do Anjo.

Really appreciated this, because when everyone was voting on destinations we were talking about how little there was on Setúbal. Sounds enchanting in many ways. Also like that it's up and coming. It isn't THAT far from Lisbon and I have to wonder if the city and region grow that more connections with Lisbon will happen as a result. BTW, the ocean looks to be more like a protected bay. Did the water seem calmer, and/or warmer, than being right on the coast?
Around Lisbon is the cheapest and one the most beautiful (not the city itself) but the nature. They mention one protected area only (the Arrábida national park), but there are the Sado Estuary Natural Reserve that for me is amazing and beautiful, in half of the time there are Flamingos there and Dolphins all year in the river. One the best spots in Europe to bird watch. And they forget to mention the Troia peninsula and Comporta with beautiful beaches you have a boat from Setubal to cross to the other side of the Sado river.
Thank you. We agree and we're so happy that it was voted #1. We were also glad to see Cascais but it seemed like an obvious place. We just hung out with a viewer that drove down from Cascais and she really like what she saw here in Setúbal. Yes, the water is calmer than say Costa da Caparica. - Josh & Kalie
Ola Josh and Kalie, I am from India & I really enjoy your videos its informative for expats, I am planning to move to Setubal how is the cost of living now like rentals, food also is this town pet friendly.
I’d like to hear you include cycling as a transportation option. Right now you talk about car vs no car. But a bike can make a huge difference, say if you want to go to the beach. Many people are finding an electric bike covers most of their local transportation needs. If I move to Portugal I’d definitely try to make shopping and local trips with an electric bike.
We're not really into cycling as it's not our scene but we can ask some friends. The electric scooters seem to be far more prevalent across the country. There is a bit of cycling culture but rides tend to happen outside of the city. - Josh & Kalie

Your videos are helpful. You mentioned that one does not need a car in the center of town, but when visiting outside the center it is convenient to have a car. Is Uber or similar ride sharing services available at a low cost in Setúbal? Can this be a good alternative to having a car to occasionally go outside the center of town?
Hi Hubert, thank you very much for the nice compliment. Bolt is a car service here that we don't often use but it's probably a little cheaper than Uber if you're being thrifty. It's a decent alternative but it just depends on how often you want to visit those little towns. - Josh & Kalie

@@ExpatsEverywhere Thanks a lot Josh! Both Azeitao and Palmela seem to have a lot of new construction, but its not clear if they're still as walkable as Cascais or the outskirts of Porto and Lisbon, but everything you guys are doing is a piece of the puzzle for us!
@@amitmazumdar4284 You're welcome. The amenities of both of those towns are so little in comparison to Cascais, Porto, and Lisbon that I'm not sure the walkability really matters. So I guess it depends on where you want to talk to and what you want around while walking if that makes sense. - Josh
Just what we needed... expats coming to other areas and raising rent prices for locals. Don't get me wrong. I love that tourists love my country but this really doesnt help rent prices.
If we're being honest, Diogo, it's probably tourist that are raising the rents more than expats. What we're seeing is that foreign investors (that don't live here) are purchasing properties for the AL market, which could be rented to a mix of tourists and expats renting for the medium term, but nightly rates provide greater ROI and will allow people to make more money if they charge higher prices, which is making the market a bit crazy. At least in Porto (were we understand the market better), AL permits are being really limited by government regulation. The puzzling thing is that taxes on long-term rentals is higher for the property owner than AL so it makes more sense to want to have an AL than a long-term rental.
Cold! We were there on a hot day middle of the summer and it was still cold. Please swam in it, we did not. We did notice that the river beaches across Portugal were warmer. - Josh & Kalie
Ola Josh and Kalie 👋 Totally agree with your observations about Setubal. Gritty yet gorgeous. I would totally expat that! Or at least visit for a while again. Setubal is not an attractive city aesthetically imo. However, the Troia peninsula is only a 30 min ferry ride from Setubal. While driving from Troia to Comporta you will be able to find some of the best beaches in Portugal. They are usually pretty deserted.

PeterD, when you have charcoal grilled chicken, cooked to perfection accompanied by Chips/ Rice/ Salad and 'watered' down with a glass of locally produced wine, in Portugal the likes of KFC would be an affront to national culture. Just saying.

@@Leo-Bassment Very true. Here in Seattle, Washington many longtime residents are getting pushed out because of rising prices.

🥳 Great! Thanks for sharing. - Josh & Kalie

I say our city is a little gritty and a little pretty. We have a great community here, but housing--rental or purchase--is scarce. It's getting really tough (lots of my clients want to be here). It's such a hidden gem--and you don't need a car! :)

You're welcome. Thanks for the help! Hope to do it again sometime. - Josh
Vous avez oublié Troia 🇵🇹🇵🇹 en bateau ⛵ j'ai visité setubal 🏡 ville tranquille et magnifique 👍👍 cordialement

Godspeed.

Oh, and good to see Leo there. His videos are very helpful.

- Josh & Kalie

and thanks for the Minis of Super Bock!
Great job, as always! And Kalie is honing her double rr to perfection! 🤓
Thanks, Paulo! Obrigada. - Josh & Kalie

Really awesome video, thank you 👍
Aww, thank you very much!
Enjoyed this video. Wouldn't mind living there! The seafood looked delicious! Great job, keep it up!
Thanks, Melinda! We had some great seafood again today. We finished it off with some nice oysters down by the seaside. - Josh & Kalie
@@ExpatsEverywhere it's past oyster season here in Alabama. Only months we eat them (smart people, I see them being harvested and know how long their sitting on them skifs In the hot sun making food poison) anyway only months with R's in them. September - April.
@@melinda5777 Lol, in Portugal we only eat snails in the months without R's from May to August.
Hi guys would be great if you could show towns you visit on the MAP to understand where you are
Understood. Thanks for the feedback, Shane. - Josh & Kalie
I agree. I'm not criticizing ... It's just one little more detail that gives map and area perspective, and polishes content.
Great tip. It's always helpful to see the geographical logistics on a map to get one's orientation. Never assume viewers know the lay of the land.
Setúbal is my city boraaa🇵🇹
Awesome! Thanks for the love. We really enjoyed putting this interview on and the follow up with Louisa that we did a few months ago. - Josh & Kalie
What do you think about places like Almada, nearer Lisbon? Real estate prices are much lower than in Lisbon.
Glad to see you've added Celsius as well ;-)
😁 We caught enough "heat" for it last time. 😅 - Josh & Kalie 😂
Thanks!
🥰 Thank you, Amit. Kalie really dugged into Pamela and asked a lot of questions when we were on our tour there, just for you. You'll have to touch base with her and get her take.
- Josh
An hour on the train is not bad. I spent nearly 1-5 hrs getting downtown Atlanta by car.
Yikes! Sorry to hear that. - Josh & Kalie
Hello! Thank you for this video. I have a question: Is the water at the beach clean AND clear?
You're welcome. It was when we were there. - Josh & Kalie
Cool! We were thinking of this area for the climate and less touristy location, now we have to certainly put it in our list.
Thanks! Yeah, it's 100% worth a visit. - Josh & Kalie
Great video 👌🇵🇹congrats
Thank you so much 😀 - Josh & Kalie
Do you know how warm is the water in summer, in this area? Is it warm? Can you swim? What about the beaches around Lisbon?
Cold! We were there on a hot day middle of the summer and it was still cold. Please swam in it, we did not. We did notice that the river beaches across Portugal were warmer. - Josh & Kalie
@@ExpatsEverywhere Thank you for your answer
@@ExpatsEverywhere What about Albufeira in summer? How is the water there?
Ola Josh and Kalie 👋 Totally agree with your observations about Setubal. Gritty yet gorgeous. I would totally expat that! Or at least visit for a while again. Wondering if you find driving on Portuguese roads as nerve-wracking as I do? Everyone drives so fast! Will you get to Troia? Better than Comporta in my opinion- and Comporta is so beautiful. Love to Sia and Pincho. ❤️
Thanks, Wendy! Heyyyy. We appreciate it. We've heard a little gritty and a little pretty. 😂
Kalie does the driving and it's mainly been in towns so not too many nerves wrecked. We went to Tróia today. It was pretty. Pincho and Cia send their love back! 🥰 - Josh & Kalie
Did you know that the min wage is still under €700? To the locals and nation wise? Prices might be appealing to you lot, NOT US!!
Did you know that Portugal's minimum wage is now up to €822.50 per month for 12 months? Portugal also ranks 22 out of 101 countries for nation minimum wage. The US is 17th so only 4 countries separate Portugal and the US.

Setubal is not an attractive city aesthetically imo. However, the Troia peninsula is only a 30 min ferry ride from Setubal. While driving from Troia to Comporta you will be able to find some of the best beaches in Portugal. They are usually pretty deserted.
I don't know Leo... I am from the South Bank and I say the first "e" of Setúbal.
Or at least S'túbal, né?
@@NomdePluminha I already said I say the first "e"... didn't you understand that?
@@diogorodrigues747 what I mean is, at least SOMETHING comes in between S and T. It's not ST. At least a pause at minimum, if not a complete E. I'm in agreement with you.

Well for expat living you missed the sports: new rugby field, padel, sporting club Victoria and golf in Tróia to name only few… not to mention the water sports!
Thanks for sharing, Eva. - Josh & Kalie
ps - Vitória?
Eu vivo em Setúbal à mais de 39 anos!!!
Adoro a Troia,Serra da Arrabida e Pousada de São Felipe!!❤❤❤
Maybe I've missed it in your videos but I don't remember seeing a KFC or Dunkin Donuts anywhere. Another huge plus for Portugal!!!
PeterD, they exist but few and far between. Dunkin wouldn't be in any of the smaller cities. You might as well get a bola de belem. - Josh & Kalie
PeterD, when you have charcoal grilled chicken, cooked to perfection accompanied by Chips/ Rice/ Salad and 'watered' down with a glass of locally produced wine, in Portugal the likes of KFC would be an affront to national culture. Just saying.
@@ExpatsEverywhere :) Bola de Berlim, if you allow me the correction.

I have been considering living in Setúbal when I get to Portugal in a few months. Is there free street parking in the downtown/river area? I can't seem to find nice rentals that include parking in my price range. I saw some nice places in very narrow streets, but I cant fathom where I would park a car in that area.
LMAO that first sentence I was like it's neither 😂😂😂 second one was definitely wrong since it's Portugal and not Brazil! Anyway, I love the city and the province. Happy to be a Brejoense!
Please tell us that you watched Leo? - Josh & Kalie
How do you compare Seixal and Setúbal? Would like to here anyone who are familar with these 2 places
