Looks great makes me hungry, but you should have tried making a third steak with the bacon fat in place of the avocado oil and putting the butter in for the flavor, but of course we know both of them have flavor, now that sounds good
You are doing a really good job on this channel and im enjoying every min. I have no idea what u do diffrent from other bbq channels but i love it. Keep the good work up and greetings from germany!!!!
I’ve been using bacon fat to sear fillet mignon and then put it in a 400° oven. Comes out phenomenal. Is there a better oil to use for 400° oven and at high smoking point? Also I want to use the leftover oil and steak drippings, etc. to make a red wine reduction sauce. Is bacon grease OK to use or is there a better high smoking point oil for that?
I use bacon fat to pan fry pork chops and chicken. The bacon flavor definitely comes through because those meats have a more neutral flavor on their own.
Overall I’ve had hit and miss experiences with grass fed. however, at home, I try to eat mostly grass fed because it’s healthy compared to grain fed when you eat a lot of red meat. Comparatively you could also go for pasture raised/grain finished. Health benefits+ grain fed flavor from craft grains.
Please clarify: you said "3 or 4 minutes" for the butter steak and "again, 3 or 4 seconds" for the bacon steak. Which is it? My formula for rare=medium rare New York Strip is 1 1/4 minutes per side for a 1" thick piece of meat.
Start with the bacon grease for the crust and finish it with the butter mixture omgoodness its soooooo good. 😊🤤
You really are the Keto Mama!!
Sear the steak in the bacon but then add the butter still! 👍🏻
Best of both worlds!
I’ve been saving my bacon fat for years. To fry steaks in, frying onions. You can even deep fry chicken in bacon fat... that’s really good
A tip on saving bacon grease at room temp. Straining the dark bits and crumbs before storing it will prevent the crumbs from causing it to go rancid.

Um looks great steak hungry now 🙂
So you can get USDA steaks in Canada? Does Canada have its own beef grading system?
I'm hungry and i blame YOU XD This channel's got some pretty sweet shopping items
Both look delicious my guess was the butter streak would be the best due to the added salt in the butter.
Why oil when you have 2 fats in butter and bacon grease?
I always cook my Ribeye in the liquid gold... sometimes i make gravy, or fry hash Browns, tasty

you got a TwoSun knife ?
I actually used both to mix the flavors.
Some pretty ribeyes there mah boi
Seconds or Minutes? 3:22
Depends if you want your steak raw or medium rare.
Can you do a comparison between grain fed beef vs grass fed beef
You bet. It’s in the list - just have to find the time.

How about throwing in the butter after the bacon fat. Lol.
That look good
I've been pan searing filets in bacon grease for years

Avocado oil has a bad smell tho , I prefer high smokepoint frying oils 😃.
my avocado oil doesnt smell and its good to 500+....
Why not both? 😋
Ditch the oil.
I’m using maple bacon fat 🤙🏻
How did it go?
bacon fat !!!
You use too many tools to cook. I also have no idea why you throw in a whole garlic bulb as well as garlic cloves.
bacon fat
