You are very gifted. Delivered everything so simply yet explained something so complex. I first heard this song when I was about 13 years old. My mom was an alcoholic at the time dealing with some very traumatic issues from her upbringing. My siblings and I had the unfortunate privilege of moving in with relatives because of the instability in our home. My mom was hurting so badly and no one understood her or knew how to help. She was difficult because of her problems and everyone became tired of her. I didn’t understand at that age how to help... I came across this song because I was listening to Phora and this was in the recommendations. Hit every feeling on the spot. And I showed this to her. She loved this song and also thought Reverie was very talented. She also loved the name Reverie. Fast forward.. I’m now 21 and my mom just passed away this year on the 17th of January due to an overdose. I came back to this song and it is just as relevant today as it was when I was a 13 year old little girl. My mother’s death taught me unconditional love. No matter how fucked up your family might be, know that you were placed there by God for a reason. Always forgive and react in love, life is too short and too precious to do otherwise.
