I know it’s simple, but it’s great that you both just listen and let Ronnie talk. So many podcast hosts talk over and interrupt guests, I really enjoyed this, thank you.
Short of giving his life. Ronnie left it ALL on that stage. All. Can’t disrespect his dedication 🙏 Honestly, I think Jay could have beaten prime Ronnie. He just couldn’t and wouldn’t do what Ronnie did. The biggest difference between these two is obvious today. Jay didn’t want to leave it ALL on that stage. The price Ronnie paid was too high. I’m just not convinced Ron KNEW he was paying the price. I’m convinced Jay fully knew. Either way. Much respect gentleman, I enjoyed watching you both as a kid.
I was there for the entire Ronnie Coleman run and let me tell you something about Ronnie Coleman. He loved his fans and he loved being Mr. Olympia more than anybody I ever experienced. You really had to be there during those years. Ronnie would come to the night of the champions in New York City every year and take off his shirt and pose for a second or two and ---he was huge. Unreal. The biggest thing I've ever seen on stage and the crowd would go crazy for him. Jay Cutler is very unique and probably the greatest ambassador the sport has ever had except for Arnold Schwarzenegger. And there is no doubt that Jay loves and respects his fans. But I have to say there was something special about Ronnie Coleman and the way he related to the audience that loved him. This x Factor is not talked about at all. I never hear people mention it. But while Ronnie Coleman was Mr. Olympia he radiated like a star. The guy you see speaking now is not the same person who he was when he was Mr. Olympia. He was happier and he had so much energy and so much love and joy. It literally spilled out out of him. For those of us who were lucky enough to be there with Ronnie, there is only one. Ronnie Coleman. God bless him forever.
I didn't realize Ronnie was this good at story-telling. He's good at leaving off on a certain part. Giving the nuances necessary to feel how it felt in that moment, and continuing where he left off wothout missing a step. The way he explained his 1st win took about 20 minutes, but it was full of depth. Thinking he should consider making a movie... have Samson play him or something lol
Ronnie and Jay is probably the best rivalry in bodybuilding history. Very rare to see the respect and friendship there at the highest level of competition. It was a great era in this sport and awesome conversation.
I think you guys have created the greatest pages in bodybuilding history and watching you talk about your past and the things you've been through together today is gold! Thanks for everything you've given us and for inspiring us!
Thanks for this Jay. You both are the reason why I fell in love with this sport. You both are an extension of Arnold and Lee Haney as far as how much you helped this sport. You paved the way for those doing this today. I hate to say that I’ve lost interest in this sport because you both are no longer on the stage. The feel just isn’t the same. This is what’s sad about seeing generational talents retire. It hurts and it just doesn’t feel the same anymore. The battles between you and Ronnie are never forgotten and still fuel my desire to work out. I’m 45 years old today, full of back issues due to heavy lifting but I wouldn’t change it for NOTHING. Thank you for all the memories and motivation you both brought into my life.
32:39 still watching, but hearing Ronnie talk about his work to walk again is just incredible and inspiring. He's facing down one of the hardest battles but is so confident and motivated. A pure legend!

IMO - these two are the reason bodybuilding incorporated , fashion music, style and swag. Jay with the Jordan’s early on and Ronnie with the rap music in the gym. Thank you for this 💎 gem!
There is a special type of energy when Jay & Ronnie are in the same room together. Such icons of this amazing sport and the respect they show each other is truly beautiful to see.
When this podcast first started, we all knew this episode would eventually come together. Many episodes later, we are finally here. Yeah Buddy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2 legends of bodybuilding competing against each other at the same era. I’m 30 but I love watching the videos of their rivalry on stage back then. I’d have paid money to listen to this podcast.
Jay and Ronnie, two of the greatest Olympians, and what's more, two very likeable people. I am soo impressed how good of an interviewer and how good of a listener Jay Cutler is. He has found a natural second career after bodybuilding.
Jay opens with "We have the greatest bodybuilder of all time." UNBELIEVABLE...CLASS ACT! Jay may not have been the best, but you can't beat his professionalism or character in this sport. Thank you Jay!
Ron is such a tremendous guy. It would be so easy for someone in his position to be incredibly bitter, yet his attitude and his personality just continue to shine through as bright as ever.
This is the era I watched and followed. I can remember waiting for flex, muscleman, muscular development, and Ironman to come out and I would read them while doing my morning cardio. To me this was the golden era. The rivalry here was the best thing to watch.
Jay Cutler and Ronnie Coleman are the perfect ambassadors for the sport and all sports. Both of them fueled my love for bodybuilding and fitness. Can't have one without the other. Love seeing them hang out, I wish I could be a fly on the wall for their travel and guest posing days back in the early 2000s. Mustve been so cool to see them train together.
What a great podcast Jay, loved every second of it, Ronnie talking no interruptions and spreading that good vibe and loving life. Man this gave me a good mental boost after some dark periods of my life
It warms my heart when I hear Jay Cutler speak, because he is honest and humble! The man is a true sportsman and forever a legend! Jay you cemented your place in history!
This was a most amazing interview. Two of the greatest of all time. Just epic. Both of you are extremely inspirational.Kudos to you guys. Love your podcast. Thank you for the content.👏🏻💪🏼
By far, this has been my favorite episode of Cutlercast. Ronnie is the salt of the earth. The bond he and Jay have is evident. These two have been in the trenches together and are brothers for life. May God continue to bless Ronnie and Jay.
The two guys that inspired me the most as a kid having conversation free for us to watch is crazy. Thanks Jay, Ronnie and everyone else involved. 2 of the best to ever do it.
Jay and Ronnie are the true ambassadors of bodybuilding. Such a great interview, fan to both men! Your admiration, respect and true recognition for your careers and history is awesome. I’ve been waiting for this for years! Thank you!
Y’all have been killing it with the podcasts lately, especially with this one. Was really nice to see the respect and camaraderie between Jay and Ronnie
Love this man, I have been seeing Jay around Vegas since 2010 when I first started bodybuilding and this is the most emotion I have seen him have 😂 the chemistry on this podcast is amazing but add Ronnie in there and it's a legendary one. You 2 motivated me when I was 19 and built like a broom stick 😂
Listening to Jay talk like this is absolutely cool AF.. Ronnie didn’t really reciprocate but didn’t seem insincere, just Jay being really complementary. Both are AWESOME!!!
I trained at Metroflex off and on for years, Ronnie is one of the most positive and gracious people on earth. Always a smile, always asking questions about how you are, always lifting others up! Can't say enough about him. I feel like Jay is that way too which made me happy to see him succeed Ronnie.
The respect is phenomenal. And such an awesome podcast!! I could watch this one over and over. Ronnie and Jays message at the end about coming off, needs to be heard more. Awesome guys!! Really enjoyed this one
Ronnie and Jay, thank you so much for posting and sharing your experiences and emotions and knowledge with us. This was by far, the most captivating podcast to watch. Big-time fan since day one I watched both of you rise to the top and more. Big respect for both.
Jay and Ronnie are perfect examples of you don't have to hate on anyone to be great. You fan compete and love. This isn't just in sports, this is a life lesson. Hopefully one day I can have an in person conversation with at least one of these 2 , to pick their brain on life.
Yes, yes! This is the episode we have been awaiting. Thank you Jay, Ronnie and Matt for blessing us with this masterpiece. Two true GOATS who have a lot of respect for one another. Bravo!
what a show! You are the 2 best ever in bodybuilding. Loved the early 2000s and was very Young (like 14-15) and used your videos you both did. Seeing you both eat, train, compete, work etc… my favourite is still the ones where you shopping. People’s reaction seeing such a physique you both had.
Love you two, the ending almost got me. The respect you have for one another. I didn’t really know about bodybuilding back then but after watching lots of content I could there was something very special here. The biggest rivalry of ANY sport. No other sport where 1st and 2nd place was the same for 5 years straight. Please reply if there is one
You guys inspired me and my friends to start lifting back in high school . What a sweet time in history and in bodybuilding . Still remember getting those dvd’s 20+ years ago and getting fired up to train after we watched them. Thank you
Not only is Ronnie the greatest of all time because he had a couple of years that literally no bodybuilder in history has or ever will beat . But the fact he came from dead last in 92 and climbed up to win in 98 is just unbelievable . And also exactly what jay said , he won 8 x during one of the most competitive eras in bodybuilding history .
Thank you for this Jay and Matt, listening Ronnie telling how he was begging in his mind "please let me be in 5 place" on stage 98 was one of the best moments in this or in any podcast💪💪😆
I saw Ronnie in person when i was 16 years old, he absolutely BLEW MY MIND. Never seen anything even close to that again, he was guest posing with Jay at the NY pro, 06 i think it was. I started following bodybuilding back then when he was king and Jay was trying to get him, the “yeah buddy” videos were new back then, crazy how time flies and i’m still here watching.
Love this show 2 of the most greatest bodybuilders of all time thanx for the memories and all the motivation u gave me greatly appreciated it luv u guyz.
Jay introducing Ronnie as the greatest body builder of all time warms my heart
It's just a fact, should he say the second greatest?
He’s a good friend. jay is one of the greatest as well.
Lol Ronnie is the goat for a reason... No ones beating him esp in his prime
By saying this he mean that’s he’s the greatest of all time since be beats him .
to me the greatest of all time is Lee Haney.
The respect these two have for each other is unmatched, love it!
true
💯
You can see Jay be like "you're RONNIE COLEMAN" as if to be like dude you're the greatest bodybuilder to ever live
100%
Guys don’t have that nowadays. The competitive rivalry and camaraderie was different back then
I know it’s simple, but it’s great that you both just listen and let Ronnie talk. So many podcast hosts talk over and interrupt guests, I really enjoyed this, thank you.
Jay seems so humble
I don't think Ronnie has any haters. Universally loved!

True
People are questioning his honesty. Dosages especially. As the late Jerry ward said, 'all bodybuilders lie'
Short of giving his life. Ronnie left it ALL on that stage. All. Can’t disrespect his dedication 🙏

Jay and Ronnie are the reasons I fell in love with the sport , as fans we are so lucky to see these two have this type of relationship 🙏🏻
Lee Priest still staying rent free in Ronnie’s mind
Trust me my friend, when you got 8 Mr. olympia's sitting on the mantle piece, the last thing on his mind is a 5' 3" midget.

So funny when Jay said “we already won with this podcast” I was literally thinking what a great interview 😂
Thank you Big Ronnie for making this happen. So cool and inspirational to have a couple goats (and Matt lol) reminiscing.
thanks lol - Matt
Totally giving you crap haha. A legend in ur own right. And the best seat in the house always.
It doesn’t matter how many times I’ve heard both Ronnie and Jays’ stories. I never get tired of hearing it. My two favorite bodybuilders.
Ronnie is the goat for so many reasons. His humility is probably the biggest one because he didn't expect anything and turned out to be the best.
2 legends of bodybuilding competing against each other at the same era. I’m 30 but I love watching the videos of their rivalry on stage back then. I’d have paid money to listen to this podcast.
