Thanks Chris. Find it fishes best for rays on big tides. You will be on small tides on Tuesday...you can still get rays but dogfish and crabs may be more active with the reduced flow.
@@PerchRockFishing we live on the liverpool side and fish the small highs, this time of the year can be a problem with dog walkers,joggers,and idiots we fished brunswick last year and between 2 of us we had over 15 rays up to 8lb 10oz on a night tide ,but we just enjoy fishing the wirral side ,thanks rich
Hi Brian thanks for watching. The ones used on the video were the 13ft version. I have subsequently changed to the 14ft as I generally use rods of this length and much prefer it. As for the Fireblade itself you won't find a better rod for the money. The 14ft version reminds me of a slightly softer C curve. They are great rods and I really enjoy using them. Slim and light blank that is easy to cast and load up well, good bite detection but with a nice stable tip in tide and wind and comfortably handle 6oz with a decent size bait. Also have plenty of power in them when needed.
Jimmy...I was lucky getting mine from Taskers in Liverpool. They literally had them delivered in to stock about 30 mins before I places my order. They are proving a popular rod and perform very nicely.
Thanks for the comments Thomas. Enjoying the Fathom CS reels. Smooth, good casting, line capacity is good (I use mine with 19lb Rovex) and plenty of winching power. The only negative is the size and position of the mag control knob which tends to dig into the wrist on retrieve. I got mine swapped by Chris Macey to a flatter one which eliminated the issue.

Hi Jamie....I contacted Chris Macey through Facebook. He will supply the flatter mag control and fit it. You just need to send the end plates down to him. Makes a big difference.
A few people have mentioned about that Mag button on the CS being in the wrong place. I took that advice and bought the Fathom2 15 SD. Mag button is recessed and the reel casts a treat. I also have Rovex 10X 19lb on mine.

For rays..Liverpool side (Mariners, Coburg or Brunswick) on high...up to tides of about 8.4m

You could try high at Guinea Gap where hounds are still being caught. Ideally you will need crab 🦀
