- Today we install some new Euro Style Mk7.5 LED tail lights on Josh's Mk7 GTI! These tail lights look awesome and were only 250$ from eBay (looks like the price went up to 330$, still a great deal). They have smoked clear lenses and black housing and are fitted with LEDs. The tail lights also have dynamic sequential turn signals and white LED reverse fog lights. The install was very easy and is plug and play. We highly recommend this mod for any MK7 GTI owner.

small tip you can also run a flathead through the groove on the connector and it will give enough room to be able to plug the cars pigtail in
Any update on getting the sequential working? I want these lights but if there isn't a fix for it, I don't want them.

@@nickethepooh3235only mk7 that need harness. Mk7.5 doesn’t need a harness. The harness is a MK7 to MK7.5 converter.

Hey! I’m curious how bright these lights are in day time? The “stop” light doesn’t look too bright and doesn’t distinguish itself enough. Thoughts?
LED lights are difficult to show accurately through camera/video. In person, they are brighter then OEM, during the day as well as the night.

You connect the included yellow wire and use a obd 11 to code the urban joker tail lights and they will work you don’t need a euro harness

the only problem that it needs more sealant on the plastic cover.
mine got leak in it and it worn now.

@haroonnavaid8859 many have small harness for mk7 or 7.5 option. Make sure the light you buy says fit 7/7.5 or OEM will be 7.5 connection only.
Did you have to code the lights for the sequential lights to work? Or did you get a harness?

Bulb error!!? Open/short circut to B+!? DONT FORGET TO DISABLE YOUR REAR SIDE MARKERS. euro lights don't have the little red tic tac in the tails. I was looking for error and then realized rear side markers trying to turn on where there are none will cause issue!!! Hope it helps someone!!
I have the same problem. I’m glad you shared! Where did you find the instructions for turning it off? I also have the problem that the blinkers only work if I’m braking.
@matiasgalilea5969 I looked online. Shut off tic tac side markers mk7.5. Not too hard to find... oddly. I do occasionally get the error, but not always.. if I start the car, wait 60 seconds before turning headlights on the error rarely comes. Not 100% sure why. Vland is what I have.

@matiasgalilea5969 you need a harness from dap or "zero" (forget his whole name)on the mk7 forums. It's like 200 plus wiring them plus coding. I'm not in a rush just prefer the tails for $200 ($150 after partial refund)

hey guys, i installed these and basically obd eleven urban joke screwed them up and only the outer lights light up and the turn signals are glitchy. any idea what’s going on and how i could fix it? i’ve already disabled all the urban joke stuff and it’s still weird.
Not sure how to help man, we just plugged em in and they worked. We didn’t mess with one eleven
@@TMWYT i fixed it. i had to do some long coding in obd eleven to specifically toggle the lights. it’s a pain but it worked!

@@GTAVICEVI I just kind of rig mine up not proper. I tapped into my front headlight blinkers ran a hidden wire all the way to the back. They work but it's also their normal blinker on the tail lights as well. If you want to see a video I can post one

Mine have been fine and it’s been a couple months with lots of rain. Almost all my buddies including myself have even gotten water and soap in our Oem tails just from washing our cars. If you get some liquid sealer or something and put a thin layer on the seams you won’t have any leaks… i haven’t even done this and I’m fine. This just gives you extra piece of mind that it won’t leak.
