- In this webinar, Savita Monie talks about the Education Program at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, focusing on how the museum engages young audiences. She also shared a case study of how the museum created materials for teachers based on the Islamic art galleries. Furthermore, she highlighted the Teens take the Met Program and the Met Collective, which are aimed at young people. This presentation is co-organized and hosted by the Tracing Patterns Foundation and the American Institute of Indonesian Studies (AIFIS) and supported by the American Embassy Jakarta.

Speaker: Savita Monie, Program Manager for International Initiatives and the Indian Conservation Fellowship Program in Education at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She specializes in projects that create cultural partnerships and helps develop educational programs on the preservation of cultural heritage in countries and Asia and Africa. Her interest is helping museums worldwide better understand their local audiences and finding ways to engage them in preserving cultural heritage resources.
