  • As I constantly look for old and high-end computer hardware, I have to visit very unusual websites that aren't really aimed for European customers. Many of these old parts like high-end motherboards, memory kits and graphics cards aren't widely available anymore as they used to be, so you have to constantly hunt on many sites around the world and be ready to buy without hesitation.
I was just searching around for fun on this quite known proxy website called Buyee.jp that offers proxy/middleman options for people who live outside Japan to buy items from the large Japanese websites like Yahoo!, Mercari, Rakuten and a few other places as well. I saw this particular Rampage Extreme listed for a good price and the condition seemed excellent, so I decided to try bidding on it.
The overall experience using Buyee.jp as a midldeman option was very good. The process of getting the item that was listed on Yahoo! Japan was very fast and the parcel was packed extremely well. The biggest minus is really the high shipping cost from there to Europe, and then the Value Added Tax on top of everything once it reaches European Union.
The overall fees weren't that bad, and the more expensive the actual item is, the cheaper % all of the fees take. So I woudn't maybe use this option to buy just something extremely cheap from Asia to Europe or US, but for rare and relatively large items as this the service is very good and I can happily recommend it.

    Thanks for watching!
