Used to be sellistrix(best AOE stun), but now that I'm doing vet DLC dungeons and struggle with resource management I have to rethink that. Your tips are interesting, will farm some of those to try out.
Lady Thorn is actually a great helm, provides a synergy you or allies can activate so goes well if wearing alkosh and the major maim is super handy, and controllable since the helm procs when you use an ability that costs health, like sanguine altar. Also for new tanks Malubeth the Scourger is a very good option, free healing and major mending when it procs. But you have 5 very fine choices!
@@herrseekadett1172 you are a idiot. It might be a role he doesn't do normally but he has taken the time to make a helpful video. I think it was a good and informative video. Ignore the haters and keep up the good work.
You forgot to mention the true passive of Chudan, an extra skill slot. If you're slotting a skill mainly for Major Resolve and not the other effects, then you literally don't need that skill to eat up space on your bar. Not needing to cast your Major Resolve skill is also essentially extra sustain.
my favorite monster helms to use so far as a tank are Tremorscale and Lord Warden. On the side, when I don't need to tank as hard, I like to have Sellistrix helm to stun enemies in an AoE right as they get pulled by my vateshran one hand and shield, get a choking talons in for immobilization (which combined with vateshran means enemies have their damage done reduced by 15% in total when they finally get up to attack) so that basically every group of mobs before a boss get nuked into oblivion with AoEs.
Thank you, the lord warden set looks very nice with the 100% up time, I'll need to check it out. I've used ancient guardian, earth gore, blood spawn, and mighty chudan before, my healer tends to keep the symphony of blades.
Symphony can proc on multiple people at once as stated in the per target rework of the set. I personally would recommend Lady thorn sentinel symphony earthgore tremorscale or 1 piece swarmmother/domihaus and ring of the wild hunt, these are what I run and see ran in vet dlc hms and vet trials.
Ok check this out for my PVP set up as tank, plague slinger weapons and 2 jewelry and one body piece, then 5 pieces of crimson. I know everyone hates proc sets but I don’t care lol. Brute band also on this as well. Domihaus head piece. I’m still think about what to use for dungeons so this is helpful. I don’t have the build complete yet but I can’t wait. Oh a regular armor set that is underrated is Doylemish set, for tanks I mean. Not the greatest but the hidden gem is you taunt a monster you’re next heavy attack does an additional 13,000+ damage depending on stats and buffs. Can do it every 4 seconds so if you’re fast you can get two heavy in per taunt. This is great because you can load yourself up with all support style skills and still crank out some decent damage. Nearly 20k per heavy attack basically because the heavy attack damage is included with the doylemish proc. It once was every 8 seconds but now its every 4. It’s mental honesty.
I've tried all this and it works fine in vet normal, but not in vet DLC. Vet DLC is all about holding block and using resource regen sets. Kind of boring way to tank, but they hit so hard that you just have to... For soloing in heavy armor plague slinger is awesome too :)
Alcast will have a basic build and gear suggestions that are accessible for beginners everyone uses Alcast, i run Xynodes warden tank it's very fruity but requires advanced stuff
Bruh you left out Bogdan's Nightflame. I use it on my main tank. Heals me and anyone in the area. Usually those melee dps teammates. When I'm in the battlegrounds and start taking damage leeching plate spawns starts its damage, stamplars jab themselves out of resources while my resistance is high leeching is healing me and Bogdan has proced off out leeching so now it's healing me. Never have to waste resources healing unless I'm in serious trouble. Leeching will proc Bogdan's. I couldn't get it to work with earthgore.
I'd have to say out of your list lord warden should have been #1. The other 2 are kind of niche based on how you build your tank or what class your tank is.
Adam you really think vet Depths of Malatar is the hardest dungeon in the game? I would think vet frost vault is harder, but that’s your opinion. Have a nice day!
If you are a dps you don’t want a tankier alternative, the tank should be taking the damage and if you have a healer they should keep you healthy if the tank misses something... if you don’t have a healer you should slot Vigor to heal yourself if the tank misses something
Symphony of blades, earthgore, nightflame, sentinel of rkugamz are the 4 best healer monster sets! The best healers are all about helping sustain the dps and tank not only with their health but their other resources as well
@@amigazo3972 Kragrenacs hope is an okay set... but as a healer I hope you are not letting people die so much that you need to keep reviving haha 😆.. consider farming for spell power cure or something to boost the sustain/healing or damage of the group.
@@Moskarth Yes. I must get the spell power cure! It is very good. The Kagrenac I use it only cause I have the 5 pieces, nothing special. Haha, I dont let people to die that often but if happens it is nice to see how fast the Kagrenacs wake them up :D
It's funny how your recommending tank sets, yet your showing some of the worst tanking footage as your background. Where are the basics of 'Taunt & Turn' so that the boss is focused on you and your taking majority of the damage. As a tank main, that last boss fight was difficult to watch as you let the 3 bosses run around a kill off your team. If you knew what you were doing in that fight, you would know that you can stack all 3 of them on the blue one, so your dps can burn all 3 down quicker. Apart from that, your Monster set recommendations are average at best and fairly behind the times. Good luck with your next 'Top 5' video, I'm sure it will be 'very' knowledgeable again.

Necromancers have bone armor which gives major resolve :). You said you werent sure so I am just clarifying

One of the best armor buffs for tanking honestly, gives you swarm mother for free makes for easier add control

u forgot to mention that minor lifesteal doesnt proc any heal to proc sets so blood alter doesnt proc those sets.

Think tremorcale should also debuff against spell resistance. So much bias to stamina in this game or a new set do it.
