Also I truly believe these people are not lying as much as people think. China has a weakness in communicating their true intentions with members of the Communist Party through their public news sources. Not unlike how the US government officials calibrate their opinions.
I spent several hours a week listening to translations and you can believe me or not when I say that China is dangerous but also incompetent. They simply do not have the internal accountability to implement highly sophisticated plans. Only a fraction of potentially useful information Tik-Tok gives to the Chinese government will be used to harm anyone. It more than likely will be used to try and find specific people rather than execute a mastermind AI psyop

@@almaadams3631 assassinating your enemies (whether foreign or domestic) does not solve your problem or enable your solution. Good people don’t replace corrupt ones, especially when the corrupt business or political party or nation is already convinced of a certain ideology. Also if you think your solution (your preferred business exec, your preferred political leader, or your preferred government leadership) will be the inevitable next choice to take power, then just realize that your opponents have just as much freedom and ability to assassinate your solutions too. In fact, they’ll be more motivated and morally justified in doing the same to your side.

What this guy is saying is correct that it's up to him and how he handles thinks which will keep it safe. It's like how nuclear power can be used for war or for electric generation. It's up to the user and people in charge how it's used. He made promises and explained how he intends to keep TikTok safe despite it's dangers which is more than most of these idiots in congress ever have. It was appalling, and don't even get me started on how they kept asking him questions about him living in China even after being corrected that he's from Singapore. It's xenophobic, and they had it out for him since the start. Not how our government should be acting at all.
