    After listening to this I found a magnesium supplement containing threonate taurate & glycine.... I was in despair because of 3 months of insomnia .. unable to fall asleep .. hypnic jerks... surviving on 2 hours of sleep if lucky. This was a game changer... 5 nights in and I'm almost back to normal. Prescription drugs were temporary and didn't have the desired effect and I really was reluctant to use highly addictive drugs. Over the counter remedies didn't work either. This has been a godsend.

      I just got through a 3 month stint of insomnia as well. Took forever to finally get back to normal. Alot of times it happens to men in their mid to late 30's when your testosterone starts to sharply drop. My t levels were dirt and the insomnia made it worse

    I also take magnesium glycinate for sleep but when I added a separate teaspoon of glycine along with it the results were pretty dramatic! There are so many additional benefits to glycine, including boosting collagen production and supporting the liver by raising glutathione. It also raises serotonin levels, reduces stress hormones and can be used as a keto friendly sugar substitute!

    Ordered my bottle today. Hoping and praying it helps! I have the worst insomnia ever. I just cannot fall asleep at night for anything! I dread when night time comes because it’s a battle for me. I wake up feeling shitty, tired, spacey, drained, mean, cranky. It’s been going on for a few years now. I think my insomnia is starting to affect my heart because I’m starting to feel discomfort in my heart. Tried trazadol, melatonin, CALM, ZQuill, etc. nothing works so I’m hoping and praying this stuff works for me! Thanks for the info BTW! Much appreciated.

    I use a powdered electrolyte in the morning that has some magnesium citrate in it and find it beneficial for in the morning to replenish my electrolytes and help get my bowels moving for the day. Then I use glycinate before I go to bed for good sleep. I think it’s more of not what’s bad and what’s good, find what each one does and see how and when you could implement it into your routine and if it would be effective for you.

    I'm hoping this will be the answer to my problem with getting a full night sleep. Working on 3-4 hours of sleep every night, for the last 6 months. Muscle spasms, eye twitching and temporal pulsations wake me up. I just want 8 hours of deep sleep.

    Some good info but I have found Magnesium Oxide works for me! Good quality sleep and relaxed. I will try some of these other brands you mentioned but I have noticed a difference with this type of Magnesium. Thanks!

    I have celiacs and hashimoto's. I struggle with constipation, insomnia, IBS, muscle tightness, anxiety and depression. I have tried every kind of magnesium on the market. I have finally found one that works. I drink a powder pure form of magnesium citrate 300 mg and take calcium 250 mg with it. I use the brand micro ingredients Pure Magnesium Citrate Powder. I only use half a scoop a full scoop made me feel bad. I sleep very deep, normal bowel movements and feel rested. I have no more muscle tightness, anxiety or depression. I am on no medications for my low thyroid because over 15 years ago I gave up gluten and dairy. My thyroid levels went normal and antibodies went way down.

    I was recommended Mag-Theo for PMS, anxiety & insomnia but unfortunately I had a bad reaction to it which gave me more anxiety and terrible headaches. I fixed the insomnia with CBT-I, worked like a charm but I am now PMSing again (periods are so relentless 🙄) which always means 3-4 days of heightened nerves, anxiety, increased body temp and bad sleep. I took Mag G years ago with no bad side effects so I am excited to try this form again! Thank you for breaking down all the different forms.

    I take magnesium glycinate with NAC, and potassium chloride. You NEED to be supplementing your magnesium with potassium. These two work symmetrically together like vitamin K2 MK7 and vitamin D. But great video and thanks for some good information.

      Are you doing all the recommended before bed? Low lights for a few hours, not staring at screens? I would look into your hormones too. 3 seems to be a lot. You might be overdoing it.

    Magessium glycineate does nothing for my sleep ..its so frustrating 😫 Magessium citrate I take during the day makes me sleepy and nausea I cannot win ...sleep has always been an issue fir me with my anxiety and over thinking and worry head 🙃

    I take 480 grams of magnesium malate. I’m post covid and it effected me physically and mentally and have restless legs syndrome. The magnesium seems very effective in helping me sleep, which when in that state of mind and physically not right sleep is very important.Thanks

    I’ve been taking Mag Glycinate for almost a year and it does nothing for my sleep unfortunately. I get about 4 hours then wake up and can’t go back to sleep, however, it does help with my muscle cramps so I’m reluctant to give it up. Is it alright to take the mag gly AND L-threonate? Maybe MG in the mornings and L-T before bed?

    I'm definitely wanting to try magnesium glyconate or threonate. I'm leaning mostly towards glyconate because calm and sleep are the biggest issue for me.

      I couldn't find the threonate and the lady suggested glycnate and was like, oh no it's threonate. She was absolutely right and now I regret it. Still sleeping awful lol. Gonna get today

    I have been using melatonin to help me fall a sleep for 2 weeks, it gives me headaches and foggy head, irritation etc.. I'm going to follow your steps. Any advice?

    what do i do if i need magnesium citrait for bowl movements but also want magnesium for sleep? dont want to go over the recommended dose on the bottles. half daily dose of each? not sure if that will be enough for daily bowl movements.. working on constipation issues and healing leaky gut. can i take magnesium glycinate along with my normal daily dose of glycine? or should i stop taking the glycine? is glycinate and glycine the same thing?

    I use magnesium citrate it does make me sleep a bit better & get sleepy when I began using it but later it seems not to be working anymore.

    What dosage of Magnesium Glycinate ? I bought some and it says take 3 600mg (1800mg total) per day. Sounds like way too much and i feel really nervous and drowsy today.

      200 - 400mg is the reccomended dose. could be a lot of other factors as well for example how late you at dinner, blue light exposure, core body temp while sleeping etc.

    I have been taking for some time a 400 mg dosage of Magesium Glucinate an hour before bed to supplement food sources of magnesium. That seems to work well for me for sleep. I recently ordered Magtech and am taking one in the morning, considering two if one agrees with my gastro processes. I don't plan to alter my evening regimen with the Magnesium Glucinate because it works so well for sleep and just want to see what other benefits Magtech brings for cognition and calming.

      threonate is the one that crosses the blood brain barrier, typical recommended dose is between 200 - 400 mg but always check with your doctor

    Hi Kyle, I have been suffering from severe insomnia for several months. I can fall asleep, but I wake up after 3 hours no matter what time I fall asleep? I have followed all the sleep recommendations with no improvement. I've been taking magnesium but mostly for nighttime muscle spasms in my legs. Is Magtech effective in preventing muscle spasms?

      check with your doc, could be another deficiency like potassium as well per the cramps... but waking up then many times could also be tied to blood sugar
