Very nice collection. Thank you for showing it. Great Video about how to disable the governor on the Tillotson carb. The governor system works thru vibration measured in Hz. The spring behind the ball loses its tension and then the ball floats off its seat. This allows fuel from the metering chamber to flood the engine which lowers its rpm. Its an early style of warranty extender... If your in a hurry a small piece of tin foil will work to block off the fuel flow.
One question ... what is the advantage of deactivating the regulator? i have the xl 88 with this regulator but i don't understand much of the tuning of this chainsaw. I hope it helps me. thanks
You can get a bit more rpm out of the saw by blocking off the governor. The bad side of that is that your engine will run hotter. There is a happy medium to be found when tuning by hand. The governor keeps the fuel mix very rich which is good for lubrication and cooling but slows the saw down.

I have a jonsered sp49 I put a rebuild kit on it it did start but not able to keep fuel flowing need to get it repaired properly jack
