A lot of the older saws are more of a labour of love when it comes to bringing them back to life! I learned the hard way about keyed clutches as well. I have an old Oleo Mac that is going to need a lot of love at some point in the future when I get through a couple other saws.

Hope you enjoy it, I've tried to like Mac, but can't get into it, glad it went to someone who has the patience. Crazy about the seal, never seen that either

I have a jonsered sp49 I put a rebuild kit on it it did start but not able to keep fuel flowing need to get it repaired properly jack

I picked up a 1074 with a more rounded starter cover for $20. Amazing shape, original bar, brand new stihl chain. Put gas in it and it ran perfect and smooth, just like brand new.

Beautiful saw. I have the XL-102. 58cc, manual oiler only, with compression release, made in 1968 only. There was a XL-102 AO (Automatic Oiler) made in 69-70 though.

Nice saw! I have one of these. I was able to repair the priming pump by changing the inner membrane with a hand made one.
