I have issues with selecting objects that are below the other object. in CorelDraw, if I drag and cover the area to select an object (smaller) which is below the other (bigger) object the bigger object doesn't get selected. In Illustrator all the objects get selected wherever my cursor hover. it is Geeting annoying if I want to select multiple small objects inside a boundary of an object. Hope i am clear with my query. Can you help??

Hello I have a question, is there a way to set up the selection tool that when you click and drag (min 1:02) the objects that get actually selected are only those that are covered with the box entirely?.... I find it so time consuming when I try to drag my box in a certain object, and not only that object gets selected but all what is close to it, including guides if I am working with them, unless of course I lock them.... the thing is that, locking guides, having to group objects or having to click individually in as many objects I need, it really slows my workflow. Thank you

Aaaah, how the heck do you select objects "in addition mode"???
"in addition mode" as opposed to "normal selection mode AKA replace" or "shift+select AKA Toggle selection mode"

is any way to select more randomply? for example the word TEXT and the group of dots, without selecting the sqare? Is there something like the "laso tool" on Photoshop?

Hi, I still can’t select objects in my photo that I have imported.
When I go to select buildings inside the photo it still selects the whole photo… how can I change it so I can quickly select the buildings inside the photo I have imported

It sounds like you need to use Photoshop, Illustrator isn’t a photo editing software
