    when you drop colour once, you can press "continue filling" button and just keep taping on areas what you want to be coloured.

    Super helpful, I've been hacking my way through procreate, and I feel like tattoo artists are the only ones who really explain this stuff well. Thank you!!

    Just keep in mind to mention that after doing the shadings to move the drawing layer to the top, otherwise the borders also gets shaded if the drawing layer stays at the bottom. Took me forever to realize what the issue was when I did this the first time around.

    • @RockettDesign
      @RockettDesign  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah as long as your not drawing on the outline layer you can move it whenever you like, if your doing solid colour it would be best to move it early as you won’t be able to see the outlines. Good point, thanks for sharing 👍🏻

    Good explnation on how to use reference layer and clipping layers. Why don't you use color drop to fill the shapes?

    I did the refrence thingy and insted it coloured my lines in

    • @RockettDesign
      @RockettDesign  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh damn, im sorry to hear that. Make sure when you drop the colour that it doesn’t accidentally drop straight onto the lines, I’ve done that before and it coloured my lines as well, aim for a gap in between the lines and it will hopefully work for you 🤞🏻

    Hi i jus want to ask do you use any kinda screen protector or paperlike in your ipad for drawing ?can i do it without any kind of screen protection ?? I heard its very smooth and bad for drawing whats your opinion

    • @RockettDesign
      @RockettDesign  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, I use Paperlike fairly frequently on my iPad and I do really like it, at the moment I don’t have it on my iPad but I guess I’m just used to drawing on glass now, if you stick with it long enough you definitely do get used to it so I would say if you’re not going to get a screen protector, then just stick with drawing on the screen and it will feel more natural over time, but I also have used Paperlike before and I do really like it, just keep in mind that it will wear out over time, and you will need to replace it, hope that helps!

    When I press the S button to select to shade it highlights the whole thing not sure what to do

    • @RockettDesign
      @RockettDesign  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It’s hard to say without seeing the artwork you are working on, but when you use the selection tool and press on the artwork, trying holding down for a second and dragging left or right, this will adjust the threshold of how much of the design you are selecting, hope this work 🙏🏻

    I follow these same steps, and when I drag color it messes up my outline, slightly overlapping the line. I can't figure out why

    • @RockettDesign
      @RockettDesign  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, I’m really sorry to hear that. I think what might’ve happened is you might have dropped the colour onto your outline. It’s really hard to know without seeing it, but try and be very precise when you are dropping that colour to make sure you’re getting it in the gaps of the outline, and not on the outline, let me know how you go!

    It won’t let me drag and drop on my tablet

    • @RockettDesign
      @RockettDesign  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, no you should be fine to do it with your finger, you will want to go into the Action section (looks like a little wrench icon), then go to preferences, then go to Gesture Controls and make sure at the bottom under 'General' you have 'Enable painting with finger' and you should be good to go, good luck!

    So what do I do when I don’t start with a whole reference and I’m just tryna color. I’m hella confused

    • @RockettDesign
      @RockettDesign  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can just colour away and not worry about reference if you want, reference will just help if you have an outline and want to colour drop into different sections of that outline
