You can also use the "Noise Brush" in "Materials" (4th from bottom) it gives about the same effect (this brush comes with the app) (btw thx for the tutorial it helped me a lot with the colors I just needed a free brush I can use)
I know this video is 3 years old but just wanted to say this was very easy to follow and was the most fun I've had drawing after trying to get back into art for years now. It was just what I needed.
I'm just getting into drawing and Omg it's nuts. Never should have stopped. I got alot to learn but this video was quite helpful with shading and the texture brushes definitely are a huge help.
Wooooooow ! I have watched so many videos and the video gave me an answer in 7minutes 👏🏿 👏🏿 I have seen you’ve done procreate vides! Subbeddd! Thank you. God bless you
Great video, and totally clear explanations. Many thanks for your help. By minute 2:30 I stopped the video and just downloaded your brushes. Following your tutorial, I have got for the first time something "pro" in my iPad mini, with a very similar sphere, and plenty of realism. Amazing ¡¡¡
hi I just received a pencil for my iPad and I want to know is procreate one of the best program for somebody who want to learn how to create some drawings and is it easy to learn love your video and the way you explain thanks 😊
Wow I just learn so much new things with each procreate video I watch I’ve only made 2 pin ups so far but the second was way faster than the first bc of all the videos I watched and learned it’s very fun
If you turn on Alpha Lock, it means that whatever you paint on that layer will stay within the shape. If you create a Clipping Mask layer above a normal one, whatever you paint will stay within the shape of the normal layer, but you have the benefit of having it on it's own, so you can turn it on/off, or make tweaks to just that clipping mask layer.
Wow that was amazing getting such a great explanation! Thank you. I knew about clipping masks, but you explained it so simple and such a great way to do a ball and reflection 🧡👏🏻
I have a question What if your object has an outline? I tried this with a drawing with a black outline and I seem to paint over it. Is there any way to get over this or am I just going to have to mask everything?
Choxolet yo do the outline on a different layer and just put it on top of all the other layers (ps, if u r going to do an outline, I don’t recommend using black, instead try a darker and more saturated color of your object)
can someone explain why the hues were set for red and yellow for the shading/highlight and why use blue for the shadow on the "ground" is it because of the colors used for the object itself? or is there another reason
Thanks for the video. You might help me. I have a circle of a certain colour. I then duplicate it and give a duplicate circle a different colour. Do you know why I still see the borders of the circle underneath the duplicate circle without me moving the duplicate? When I alpha lock the circle on top (the duplicate) those edges from the circle underneath get affected meaning I can write on them, why is that? Any idea
what brush stroke do you use? mine is so thin. Also I can do the same thing you do I draw this circle I select the arrow hold it down and drag my color up it fills the whole page.
How does this 7 minute ball look better than what I’ve been trying to draw for 3 hours 😂😂
Relatable 😂
True! Hahahaha!
bro that's probably everyone
It’s the brushes tbh
Reality for me too man

i was using a basic soft air brush and it looked terrible, using the noise brush instead actually helped. so thank you
Try morrilla in drawing

What's the difference between Alpha Lock and Clipping Mask?
(Thank you for a wonderful video on Clipping Mask! It is VERY helpful to me.)
If you turn on Alpha Lock, it means that whatever you paint on that layer will stay within the shape.
