@@starberrysparkler I mean, Mario's actual voice actor recently said it's supposed to be "So long, King-a Bowser!" but I must say... If that was the intended line, then I have no idea how it ended up sounding like it did because that "King" is not audible AT ALL... ...So I just chalk it up to him misremembering it.
Cody Eagan Although I am not saying that Super Mario 64 DS is a bad game. It was actually very fun. I just don't like Peach's voice or how they added more stars. I also don't like how Yoshi is the main character. It was awesome how they added characters with their own abilities though.
Cody Eagan Adding more stars = more gameplay. You don't enjoy playing a game more? Also, Yoshi wasn't the "main" character, he is just the character you start off as. Back in Super Mario 64, Yoshi wasn't playable at all. He was more of an easter egg that you got when you completed the game.
I can't believe this series of chuggas is almost a decade old. Like many people this game holds a special place in my heart and was a very large part of my childhood. I had not played the n64 version prior to this so every area and star was like a new adventure to me. While it's clearly a dated game now being one of the first on the DS, It still holds alot of value and as we know mario 64 is considered one of the best games of all time for that reason
After re-watching this series again, I have some words I'd like to say. This series holds a special place in my heart. I remember when I was younger, I owned this version of Super Mario 64. I remember not knowing what I was doing at all so I searched for something to help. And just so happens you were doing a play-through of it. I remember coming home every day and grabbing my ds to watch your newest episode of it and play along with you. (That's probably the only reason I ever completed the game honestly.) I still have that save file sitting on my cartridge of it, so it holds a lot of value to me. Thanks for making me playing this game special, I'm glad I've been able to stick around for so long.
When I played the original version as a kid, i never really changed the camera angle in the bowser-stages. It looked OK to me, since it looked like a side-platformer, where you could also walk "in" and "out" instead of just back and forth.
This gives me so much nostalgia. I remember watching these sm64 Ds series when I was 5 and I remember using these videos to help me out with stars I never understood how to get.
As a kid, super mario 64 (I know he is playing the ds version) was a game I wanted to do on my own. I remember my sister getting that final huge star and I just wanted to have that controller and touch the star myself. The huge star and the silence is a reminder that your adventure with mario wasn't easy and wasn't short. The cut scenes in the credit reminded you of those things as well. I took on the challenge and I think i was surprised I was able to do it. I guess I didn't believe someone at my age could complete an adventure like that. I also remember finding it hard and skillful to wall jump. But i did complete the game on my own :). I don't remember well but when I got that huge star....I don't think I got it right away. I don't understand why would you on your first experience getting it because it was so pretty. I think my brother or my OTHER sister said if the can get it and in my head I was like "did you get 120 on your own? Did you survive those cloud levels?" Also I was excited to getting yoshi. I thought if I ran fast enough, I can get him in the waterfall xd
this video came out before i started kindergarten, now i'm about to become a high school sophomore. every year or so i love to just come back and pay my respects to this great series. thank you for the memories this series game me chugga.
Mmost7 I never owned an N64 back in the day, but I always dreamed of playing it. I would look at video game magazines and etc and imagined what it must have been like, to own an N64 haha.
+FireMax UltimatePyro I prefer the original for one reason: superior control. It feels much more natural using the analog stick and a lot easier. I liked 64 DS, but I absolutely hated the controls. The reason why is because the run button feels invasive and using the control pad on a 3D plane is really uncomfortable for me. Not to mention, it makes Mario's tricks much harder for me to perform. Ultimately, the DS version was fun, but I think it could have been better if Nintendo waited to release it on the 3DS for much superior control. Personally, the original is my favorite game of all time, but the DS version I will say has its perks.
Nintendo better release this on Wii U, when they release the DS VC titles. I'd love to play this on a bigger screen, especially after seeing the smoothing feature used for the GBA VC titles.

"I thought it was a really enjoyable project. At least it was for me, maybe not for you." Hard to believe its been almost ten years, but I think your love for the game is what really makes this LP stand out. I find myself coming back to this every couple of years, so this might be my third or fourth time, and even with the mistakes and recording issues you may have had (like how often you say you lost a recording and had to redo the level) this is just a fun and relaxing series to listen to. ❤
***** Im that young that this is my first game I ever played (I think anyway...no,not 64 the actual ds remake xD i remember my brother giving it me and im like what the? And i couldn't control my character I was tht stupid but I eventualy got around it,then I lost the game card xD but i emulated it which isn't illegal because I owned the game)
Group Of Gamers You are wrong, Nintendo stated that it is okay to emulate a game if you own/owned it. Also, ROMs are the games themselves, not the emulators, so Nintendo can't hate the ROMs.
Maybe this version *IS* a sequel to the N64-version, and canonically, Mario 100%-ed the N64-version; because then, Bowser learns that there were 120 Stars, in all; so, this time, he makes sure to steal 120 Stars, which just so happens to be the exact number of ”Bowser-Stars” (7 core missions + 100-Coin-Star in each main Course); but within the time between these versions, the Castle has acquired 30 more Stars 🤔.
i 100% completed the ds version a few weeks ago, after years of attempts to finally get all the stars on any version of this game... and as soon as i booted the game back up, i got a message saying the save data was corrupted, making the hours i spent playing the game absolutely pointless in the end. besides that and the constant issues i had with this game's physics, specifically mario and luigi sliding off of everything in rainbow ride and costing me many lives, i can say this is a really good remake of an already great game, but i still prefer the original n64 version, mainly for the sake of nostalgia and because the n64 version of this game was such a big part of my life, being the game i played the most on the console besides donkey kong 64, plus a large majority of my early years (and even now, almost 10 years later) on youtube were spent watching super mario 64 bloopers/machinima. i have a very long history with this game, and even though i was 3 years late in finally watching this lp, this was a really great experience, and i loved hearing chuggaa's thoughts on the game and how the game was a big part of his life growing up
Saaame! Back then, I wasn't too good at Mario games, so when I made it to the end, I was so excited! Then I tried to jump in the pipe, but I missed.. I thought I died, but I landed on the plaitform and found the last red coin!! It was so unexpected. :3
Idzy449 i got the game when i was 4 then it took me 4 years to finish the game soooo ya i know the game better than my mother all the secrets and bonus stuff all the stuff trust me
I can't believe Mario has so many great games since his first adventure in 3D. He definitely had an easier time transitioning to 3D unlike Sonic. Don't worry I don't hate Sonic but you can agree he had a hard time transitioning to 3D and has some bad games since his first adventure in 3D.
There is a glitch where, if you dive next to the cannon in the courtyard at the base of the tree right next to it and slide down, you will phase through the ground and go under the map. If you want to have even more fun with that glitch, swim (you will be underwater) underneath the castle and, from the inside, go through the purple door in the moat. You will then be able to walk underwater in the moat without losing power! PS: Moat must be full. It really does work, though. It's hard.
I really love this game alot too, because its one of the longest games to beat, and it's SOOO adventurous. I remember playing as a kid on the "64" so its holds a warm place in my heart. I'd say the sequel to this is definetly the Super Mario Galaxy series..
LOL, I got the last red coin in Bowser In the Sky by accident. I jumped on the railing, accidentally fell off the edge, walked around, and BAM! I also got the other tricky one on the tiny platform on the edge, because I literally checked as carefully as I possibly could throughout the entire level for ANY hint of a red coin.
I share that this game holds a special place in my heart and this also has my fave end credit theme in all of gaming and it’s up there as one of my favorites as well
Mario 64 (DS or not) is amazing, words cannot describe just how memorable the game is...marios first adventure taken to 3D...each world is beautifully designed and the soundtrack just seems to stick to your mind with its catchy jingles and tunes, truly a game that will be remembered by the Nintendo fans as one of the best, and honestly...I am happy I managed to 100% both the original and the DS version...it feels like an accomplishment...if you are just beginning to play this masterpiece...well I can only say one thing to you good sir/ma'am: Have Fun and Enjoy!
+chuggaaconroy Thanks so much for making this series, had the N64 back in the day but never completed it, with your help I've finally done it, 150 stars and all key! CHEERS!!
Get some wii points. (From a card) Buy Super Mario 64 on the wii shop. Then have a classic controller (pro or official). You can also have a chameleon controller. Start it up and there you go! :)
This makes me feel old. I remember playing the original Super Mario 64. But I feel like this isn't a true port due to the fact it's not true 64 bit like the console, it fees like 48 bit(due to the pixels). I know, I'm captain obvious. Point being, I remember the days when I wouldn't think it was possible playing a 64 game on a portable...
I really didn't like this game very much compared to the original. I wish they did what OoT did, where everything is almost the same, but with updated graphics, and maybe a little bit more content. I didn't want them to completely change the game with the multiple characters, different stars, altered levels, etc.
You didn't actually pay attention, did you? That was all the way back in 2010 when Emile was 19, so expecting adult judgement is unrealistic, and most of the weird stuff was started by the minor. Emile tried to avoid it.
Honest response from your biggest fan: I found the last red coin in Bowser in the Sky World on my first try and how I did that is when I was at the end I thought to myself "If I was a red coin and I was at the end of this level, where would I be hiding?" and the first thing I did was check under the stairs and I found the final red coin.
I'm sad. This was the LP that FINALLY got FINALLY back into watching your videos, and I've watched every video since (except Xenoblade. Maybe someday) I've been rewatching this entire LP for around a whole week while working on stuff, and remembered how fun this LP was to watch. Honestly, this is probably one of my favorite LPs thst I can always go back to when there's nothing on, or I just need noise (the other being New Super Mario Bros. U on TRG) Hard to think this LP is only 2 days away from being 4 years old. Thanks, Chugga.

One of the best DS games, imo. Surprised some people didn't enjoy it. Then again, I never played Super Mario 64 as it hurts me to say this. :(

I found it my first time thanks to a goomba knocking me onto it
That is my reason for loving Goomba's
They may be enemies
But they are soooooo useful
+chuggaaconroy Thanks so much for making this series, had the N64 back in the day but never completed it, with your help I've finally done it, 150 stars and all key! CHEERS!!
I LOVE THAT SONG!!!!!!!!!
I found every Red Coin in this level as a little kid, however I never beat Bowser until 2012.
That darn 8th RED COIN ಠ_ಠ
I hear ya man! many attempts i abadoned
I Actually foundit on my first try
I searched the whole stage for hours until I found it!
it's been so long since I visited this channel and I'm glad I did
7:03 the arena is shaped like a star!
NOSTALGIA
Doesn't Peach notice that her mote is missing
Lol so true
This specific video got suddenly recommended to me for literally no reason and now i'm scared ._.
Wow I found that coin my first time. I was really just messing around
This was luigi on the outside

I just got Super Mario 64 for my Wii.
How
Get some wii points. (From a card)
Buy Super Mario 64 on the wii shop. Then have a classic controller (pro or official). You can also have a chameleon controller. Start it up and there you go! :)

Thank you so much for two playing my game!
Did Chuggaconroy ever show what happens if you lose your hat?He said unusual things happen. Im curious :D
I saw the last red coin on my first try, I was only 7.
What happened to Bowser's rainbow colors in this version?
HylianBelmont But it looked so cool!
That ”Thank you, all.” seriously sounds like some YTP-level remix 😆.
This makes me feel old. I remember playing the original Super Mario 64. But I feel like this isn't a true port due to the fact it's not true 64 bit like the console, it fees like 48 bit(due to the pixels). I know, I'm captain obvious. Point being, I remember the days when I wouldn't think it was possible playing a 64 game on a portable...
why did they replace the rainbow bowser?
I found that red coin it was so funny I fell I thought I was gonna die I was like NOOO when I was falling I landed on the red coin XD
Thank you for the amazing LP Chuggaa I love this game and the Original so much
I get sad wene i baet a game
I really didn't like this game very much compared to the original. I wish they did what OoT did, where everything is almost the same, but with updated graphics, and maybe a little bit more content. I didn't want them to completely change the game with the multiple characters, different stars, altered levels, etc.
What about Waluigi?
He wasn't in the game.
He explained that he's not in the game if you watched all the videos
NintendoLand12
L
Waluigi is not in the game an nintendo had no ideas to add him to the game
This was the first video game I ever owned and when I beat it years after I got it, and I watched the credits roll, I cried.
Wallluigi
G bump
"Hey everyone it's Chuggaaconroy and welcome back for some more Grooming Children"
You didn't actually pay attention, did you?
That was all the way back in 2010 when Emile was 19, so expecting adult judgement is unrealistic, and most of the weird stuff was started by the minor. Emile tried to avoid it.
The allegation were fake
Honest response from your biggest fan: I found the last red coin in Bowser in the Sky World on my first try and how I did that is when I was at the end I thought to myself "If I was a red coin and I was at the end of this level, where would I be hiding?" and the first thing I did was check under the stairs and I found the final red coin.
In short, Chugga, thank you for sharing this, and allowing me to relive the happier times of when I was a young child, however briefly.
I'm sad. This was the LP that FINALLY got FINALLY back into watching your videos, and I've watched every video since (except Xenoblade. Maybe someday)
I've been rewatching this entire LP for around a whole week while working on stuff, and remembered how fun this LP was to watch. Honestly, this is probably one of my favorite LPs thst I can always go back to when there's nothing on, or I just need noise (the other being New Super Mario Bros. U on TRG)
Hard to think this LP is only 2 days away from being 4 years old.
Thanks, Chugga.
Oh my god!! I have this game since i was seven, and with your videos i finally finished it! Thank you💗💗💗💗
Man, 10 Years. can’t believe it’s been that long.
TH-cam Algorithm: Yes 8 years later is when they need to see this
