I love love LOVE that they brought in Luigi and especially Wario into this game. It's odd seeing Wario show Peach respect and not show hostility towards Mario at all this game, but to say the least it shows us a different side to him. I hope he's in future Super Mario titles in the future, whether it is as a hero or as the main villain (a game long overdue).
I love how Peach notices Yoshi first rather than Mario. I mean, considering the fact you start with Yoshi, they might as well have called this Super Yoshi 64.

It tries to preserve what makes the original good while also adding modern things. Which is why Mario's voice in this sounds like the original, but is also still a bit different.

Man, I never noticed that they brought back the OG 64 Peach voice to redub peach again and not the current one during that time. This game is such a masterpiece.

It might be my personal bias for the DS and its games but I honestly believe this version of the game is superior to the original. The original might have levels of nostalgia for many many people, but this game also has nostalgia for a lot of people who grew up with the DS. Not to mention better graphics(at the time), more stars, characters, content... even multiplayer. The DS version was a well needed remake, and I kinda hope they remake Mario 64 again for the 3DS or even the NX. It'd be something I'd love to see.
