    22:22 It's pronounced the second way, Vine-land. If anyone follows baseball it's where Mike Trout is from

    Laughing at the VT/NH round because I also very recently learned many students/staff/faculty of Dartmouth (which is in Hanover, NH) actually live right over the border in Vermont.

    As an Okie resident who lives relatively close to Moore, seeing those two Oklahoma spots was pretty fun. With regards to Moore and the storm damage billboard, central Oklahoma certainly has had more than its fair share of violent tornadoes over the last few decades but there's actually worse places to be, if you could believe it. But companies are constantly advertising for roof/siding replacements and shelters for storm season because of all the bad weather we get so for me I probably wouldn't have even given that billboard a second glance.

    10:26 I've lived in the U.S. my whole life, but I've never seen a diamond road sign with a handicap symbol on it. What could that sign be warning about and why would it be right before a curve? It might be a Massachusetts thing or a Northeast thing. That might explain why it is unfamiliar, as I live in Iowa.

    • @Nosliw87
      @Nosliw87 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Could just mean a resident petitioned for a sign near their driveway. I've seen several similar ones when living near boston. As well as "Thickly settled" which always struck me as kind of funny.

    7:48 41 goes through my small town in Tennessee

    • @GolfClash2718
      @GolfClash2718 ปีที่แล้ว

      41 actually goes between the UP in Michigan somewhere, to I-41 in Wisconsin, thru Chicago, Terre Haute, Evansville, Hopkinsville-Clarksville, Nashville, Chattanooga, Atlanta, and thru Florida to Miami and US-1. It roughly follows the route of I-41/I-90/I-65/I-69/I-24/I-75

    I drove though Kansas 6 times. In the span of 2-3 years. What surprised me was the pine trees. Central and western Kansas have quite a few pine trees and they don't look like the hot weather pines really. The fauna doesn't match the heat all the time in Kansas. Missouri has much less pines than Kansas despite being the same latitude. When you did that first Kansas one, my first thought was Missouri. If I thought of it a little longer maybe I would have got Kansas.

    Dude gets a hard-on over having access to potential views of license plates. Seems very disingenuous of a way to make location guesses. You're not even looking at architectural styles or plant species.

    • @ChicagoGeographer
      @ChicagoGeographer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      License plates are the easiest way to recognize states in GeoGuessr, if you choose to ignore them you will be significantly handicapped in the US. Regardless of if you think it's the "right" way to play, it's inherently part of the game
