Looks like the guy in the front stopped when all he had to do was move over I know the dust is tough but at least you didn't have a head-on with that other traffic

Everyone involved, including the oncoming sleds we’re going to fast for that narrow trail.
I’ve asked before, why the need to pin the throttle any time you are riding?
WOT should be left to the lakes!

Why stop in the middle of the trail

When it is a narrow trail and two sleds are approaching head-on at 20 - 30 mph each (i.e., closing upon each other at 40 - 60 mph), the sled in front pulled to the right and stopped to let the oncoming sleds pass on the narrow trail. That is the conservative, safe thing to do. The burden is on the trailing sled to also stop. Everyone makes mistakes, but one lesson here is don't follow too closely and be prepared to stop.

Another thing. Hats off to @Caplieps for posting the video. Some would bury it and pretend the accident didn't happen. Sharing it helps lots of people learn from it! Thank you.

Being stupid is one thing but posting an obvious rear end collision causing damage and showing your totally at fault, has to be the stupidest thing yet. Nice click bait

People like that shouldn’t own sleds

It's more the guy coming at them fault in my opinion. The sled coming at them about hit the first sled he moves to right side much as he could but guy flying at him was riding more on the wrong side and must not seen him till last second he swerves to the right and guy thought he was gonna hit him so he hit brakes to slow down and go off trail. I slowed it down watched it few times that's kinda my opinion. But on a single wide trail with trails that goes up and down hill causing blind spots and the snow blinding riders following the leader they all were riding bit to fast.

Too many do, then mix the booze in and the real trouble starts.

@@kdmigloo I admit I've rode after way to many drinks a few times and your speed and stupidity goes way up. I live in country where open farm fields take u miles upon miles or "Bar to Bar" so I know where I'm riding and trail conditions well. Doesnt justify riding drunk any. U don't have to worry about other sleds coming at u so much but flying thru fields u don't know well is dangerous enough. I've seen many totaled sleds from riders not knowing where their at riding thru open field way to fast and in the dark and not see the 10 foot deep 10 foot wide irrigation ditch in middle of nowhere or mound of frozen dirt.

@@kdmigloo My wake up call was me and a group were riding on saginaw river/bay. Leaving the bar buddies took off not realizing I was talking to someone so we got separated. Drunk and stupid I was hauling ass to catch up on the bay not paying attention to where I was heading just looking around for tail lights I just remember looking up and just ahead I was flying up to the white snow turned all black. As I'm going around 100 towards it luckily my drunk ass realized that black is open water and thankfully got turned around before breaking thru cause nobody would of found me out there in dark if I managed to get out of the water

    Amateurs riding.
Do not run in snow dust 101.
    Basic start in trail riding.
    Wtf.
Lead always signs stoppage with arm signals as well.
And why slam on breaks as lead?
