Wounder if it's easyer on our dash we have being 82-85 style . But either way I do not look forward to doing it when mine goes cause I have no cracks at all in mine nor faded from the sun
Start putting Vaseline on these old padded dashes. It soaks in and keeps it softer and prevents cracking. The downside is it collects dust for a couple of weeks like you've never seen. Use armorall type cleaners if you want it to crack.
good video but been doing this for 30 years and never had to pull the dash to do a heater in a s10 . was watching just to get a refresher on where the temp door cable clips
Amen brother thanks for taking the time to do a video on it!

One of the best videos I have seen. No nonsense you are the man.

Is the 82 to 85 like Da Work Truck the same process pretty much?
Yes
@Boostismyfriend cool. My heater in my white s10 works but it doesn't work good.
Bueno bueno I have an 88 Chevrolet s10 2.8 😊

You can, i personally like to get everything out of my way where i can work then to fight tight spots
@@BoostismyfriendI bypassed it for now. What drop is on that truck in the thumbnail? Looks to be about perfect 4/5?

Thats the worst part worrying about cracking them
