My school is hosting an event and looking for food trucks. I was just about to contact them when I saw that someone said this was in Queensland and searched it up. Now I'm sad because we won't be able to have them in our event since we're in Melbourne. I think I need to go to Queensland next time.
Make a Vietnamese dish called PHO the ingredients and method is listed down below: Serves 4 Preparation: 30 minutes Cooking: 3 to 4 hours Ingredients: 500g beef bones 250g of Beef top sirloin A bag of bean sprouts A bunch or two of basil A bunch or two of culantro coriander green onion Cinamon sticks Three onions 5 slices of fresh ginger coriander seeds star anise (2 pods) Pho noodles of any kind Hoisin sauce (NOT POISON SAUCE) Sriracha sauce 2 spoons of MSG 3 cubes of rock sugar or add 1 tbs of brown sugar 2 tbs of salt 1 PHO STOCK CUBE (GUARANTEED TO BE IN EVERY ASIAN SHOP) Method: 1. Clean your beef bones by boiling it in a big pot in cold water for 30 minutes 2. Dump all that water out after 30 minutes and clean your pot 3. Put two liters of water in the same pot and add your beef bones and coriander seeds and heat your pot to a high 4: Get 2 onions, 5 slices of fresh ginger, cinnamon stick and star anise and char them on the heat plates of your cook top, until they have burnt marks on them ( Make sure to use Tongs for the cinnamon sticks and star anise) 5. Add the char 2 onions, ginger, cinnamon sticks and star anise to your pot and put the heat to a low 6. Add some salt to the stock and simmer the stock for 2 to 3 hours ( Make sure that the longer it sits the tastier it will be) 7. In the Meantime, Slice your remaining onion in to thin slice, slice your green onion into fine bits, slice your top sirloin into thin slices, Slice your coriander, culantro, 8. After 3 hours of simmering your stock, strain the broth by using a strainer and another pot or saucepan to hold the broth 9. Get your clear broth and put it on to a high heat for a boil. 10. While waiting for the stock to boil prepare your noodles by boiling hot water in a big saucepan for 1 minute or put noodles in the microwave for one minute and put in boiling water for 10 seconds. Once finished put your noodles into 4 batches and store these in a plastic container. 11. Once the stock boils season your stock by adding two tbs of salt, one or two tbs of MSG, 3 cubes of rock sugar or 1 tbs of brown sugar and your pho flavored stock cube. If the stock doesn't taste right to you adjust the flavor to your own liking. If the stock is too salty then add some hot water. 12. Once you are happy with your stock. Get one batch of noodles and put it in a bowl, add your sliced beef, culantro, cilantro, onion, green onion and pour 500mls of your stock and serve with 1 wedge of lemon, a bunch of washed basil and a bunch of washed bean sprouts, sriracha sauce and hoisin sauce 13. this is not a step but enjoy. I must be challenging Greg for this
Woah, I'll have to grab one of those next time they're on the goldy! Hey Greg, how about a review of the new Subway cheesy garlic bread soon? I'm trying it tonight and can't wait!
Hey there Greggo. Wow... You ate that entire huge burg! Well done my man... Well done. Damn spendy, but here in the states I've spent $15 for a huge food truck hotdog before, so I'd suppose I'd give this one a go. Thanks for the vid and a thumbs up to you!
Thank you for the like my friend, sorry if I don’t watch all of your vids, I do try, don’t get chance with my job🙁 if I remember correctly you was the very first person I subscribed to on TH-cam back in the day! Absolutely love you to bits dude😉👍🏻
You Queenslanders have to be the best fed out of all Australia and for $15 I'd be happy with that! I've paid $18 For a burger that wasn't even close to that.🍔😎👍
I thought the idea of food trucks was to offer punters good quality and good value because you're not weighed down by high staff, rent, and wastage costs. $15 for a pretty average looking small burger is ridiculous :P
Nice.. Good food is generally a little more expensive than Mc Donald.. As I am sure you know, quality costs in Australia.. Where are you located? Looks to me that you are near the Gold Coast.. I have a burger bar in Murwillumbah NSW, perhaps you would like to visit.? Free burger 😁 How could you resist?
Greg get a bank loan and do your own food truck. Plaster your TH-cam channel all over the thing. Make your own 15 dollar Greggo menu with quality ingredients. You'll clean up
poida yea because When the macca’s “chicken Big Mac” was out I LOVED it,the best part is I think it was only $6.00 absolute VALUE! Also hungry jacks has the “cheesy cheese burger” it’s my little go to snack at $2.00. Thank you for all the advice😀
It looks yummy 😋 Also funny rap references. Reminds me of a pizza place I went to a few years back and at the vending machine they had a picture of Ice Cube over the ice dispenser and a picture of IceT over the tea 🤣
That looks like the kind of burger you got from the festival I went to and the price is about the same. Would still take the rotisserie chicken though, at least that came with chips!!!
I think the price is my only criticism. $15 is too steep for a food truck. $15 to $20 in a decent restaurant you can understand. The burger looked great though
@bruceownsuThat's a bit harsh. Obviously they can sell it for any price they choose, but realistically the overheads of a food truck are going to be considerably less I would've thought. At any rate if they have customers rolling through happy to pay $15 then good on them.
@bruceownsuI've never seen a burger similar to this in a restaurant for over $25 I'm sure there are plenty of mama and papa burger joints around that would. You made some fair points. I have no doubt people are happy to pay $15 for this burger especially if the quality is there.
Yeah 15 bucks for a gourmet burger with quality beef and bacon and prepared fresh in homemade fashion and not out of a frozen factory is not bad at all. The owner probably barely makes ends meet on that. A gourmet Burger at a name establishment like Gordon Ramsay burgr in Vegas is at least 25 bucks and another 10-15 for a side.
Bit pricey but that patty looks to be hand made so it's real meat, I'd have liked to see some beetroot and a bit more bacon but that looks like a quality burger.
Not too many ingredients, Greg? Even here in North America that would usually be considered a monstrosity, that is, if you could even find a place to buy one.
Doesn't seem that bad a price to me. 15 aus $ is about 10 us dollars or 8 british pounds. Maybe it's the carpark location that makes people think it should be cheaper.

I've been looking forward to watching this all day. 🌟
Because I'm in the UK, I watch this on Thursday night. 😂😂
Correct me if I'm wrong but that would probably cost £8 in the UK.
@poida I've been to England so I wasn't far off.
