I thought with Partbreaker and head stun lock by GS, we can break Horn faster than normal. Watching this run, i don't see any difference with and without this skill.
First, you have to know that stagger damage and break damage are the same thing, at least in this game. Partbreaker makes it so the stagger damage you do on one part is increased by 30% as long as the part isn't broken already, which allows me to topple Teostra with a single level 3 charge + strong side slash combo. Because Teostra's horns will not break until he's below 20% of his total HP, Partbreaker remains active for the majority of the run, allowing for a staggerlock. Or that's how it should work... lol. Due to a quirk in Teostra's enrage mechanic, treating the enrage mode as a breakable part in itself, Partbreaker will keep working even after the horns are broken, which allows for the lock to continue until Teostra's death.
@@rokumh7830 huh interesting, so I guess that's why part break oil on SNS increases trip rate of monsters when you attack their legs??? I hear that from Mai when I asked him years ago why he used part break oil on Alatreon's legs
@@DESMal That's a different thing. In Alatreon's case, a trip is proc'd when you get a foreleg break. However once you break both, the partbreak oil loses its effect when hitting them, meaning the stagger damage returns to normal. With Teostra, the effects of Partbreaker remain due to spaghetti code even when the horns are broken.

Because I've noticed that even though the small hit of a TCS has supposedly a 0x modifier for stagger damage it can still break parts, and that shouldn't happen if they were still the same variables.

The point of a TA run is to complete the run as fast as humanly possible.
