My fav season 2 episode, and maybe my favorite of all three is "The Doomsday Machine" The music alone supports the episode! William Windoms acting as Decker is probably the best acting of the entire series.....This episode won a hugo award as well....
The revelation that Chekhov was added as a 5th Monkee was published as early as 1968, in Stephen Whitfield's "The Making of Star Trek." Everyone has known that since the Khitomer Accords.
Another comment said the "research is really impressive"? They must have been being sarcastic. 3:30 - TOS didn't use the warp scale with warp 10 as the upper limit. That didn't show up until TNG. 7:12 - Spock said that it was vaguely LIKE a cloud of ionized hydrogen, but with strong, erratic electrical impulses. He didn't say it WAS a hydrogen cloud. 9:17 - Enterprise chased the creature when leaving the planet. The creature turned and attacked, then left the ship after attacking Spock. The creature never chased the ship because the ship never tried to retreat from it. 9:36 - Enterprise visited Deep Space Station K-7, not Sherman's Planet. The project had to do with Sherman's Planet, but we never see it on screen. 11:24 - Since when did Klingons start following (or caring) about Starfleet General Order One (a.k.a. the Prime Directive)? 17:02 - They said over a thousand light years away, not a hundred. A little research at Memory Alpha (memory-alpha.fandom.com), Wikipedia, and Google goes a long way.
Again this was very funny, just like your season 1 review but I also think the research is really impressive, there was some things I didn't know and I respect you for portraying Shatner the way he probably was. Awesome overall and I can't wait for season 3
The spin off series to ‘assignment earth’ would have been too cool to imagine - the second best show to ever appear on television. I suspect it was cancelled because the proposed chick in the new show was TOO awesome. . .
Actually this is not the case. The alien flower was originally going to attack and kill Captain Kirk , but as an attempt to save Kirk’s life, Mr. Spock pushes Kirk and McCoy out of the way only to be taking the jab from the alien flower that was previously meant for Captain Kirk..
The youth appeal explanation doesn't tell you why Chekhov is Russian, though. I honestly don't see the two stories as being incompatible. They made a new character to appeal to kids, but made him Russian in response to Russian complaints.
I never like they way they gave Vulcans a barbaric ritual. They refer to the Vulcans in other episodes as a "superior race" above the wars of humans, a race that worships peace in intellectualism. But then they have a G-D fight to the death over a mate.
This was my fav TV show in the '70s. I may watch it again. Terry Garr had amazing legs.

@James Darr Mine, too. Leonard Nimoy bounced nicely off William Windom, and DeForest Kelley's interaction with Nimoy works well.

Erm... no. Uhura never bought a tribble. It was actually given to her by Cyrano Jones.

Excellent look forward to season 3
"You may leave the bridge, doctor". "Well, what about the Captain, we can't leave..." "Doctor, you may leave the bridge".
"Battling to da debt" sounds like an enormous spend-a-thon to me...
On the side of the cave is Obi Wan using Jedi powers, fucking with Spock's mind meld.
I wish Teri Garr's funny talent was used more by Hollywood. I had a crush on her Star Trek character, I was only 7.
Well, when you put it THAT way, I...never mind.
Your critique of the show is very fun!

could you possibly do an updated book tour?
Holy crap this was funny! Great work!
Not to be disrespectful, but in that mirror universe uniform, Nichelle Nichols is a freaking SNACK!!! 3:36-3:50.
2:55 What do you mean "he" when you say "he doesn't believe in gods"? Kirk's line in the episode is "We find the One sufficient."
Log entries aren't for Kirk or Starfleet, they are for us 😂
Poor thing Assignment Earth needed bad guys fucking with the rocket
Captain Tracey has an known twine Simon Van Gelder
The Goofiest Looking Wig 6:30 Worn by Walter Koening in "Catspaw is Actually a "Davey Jones" Wig.
Do you even LIKE Star Trek?
just a voiceover gig..
Once you watch Enterprise and Discovery, Original is trash

Always feel like Trelane/Koloth had a son named Robbie Rotten.
The Chicago Mobs book is missing stuff like cops, the FBI, ect
wow it's almost like you even watched the show...
We never saw half of these in the UK
I think Captain Kirk phased you out!
The Amish Klingon might be called Klighann
OMG, How could you omit THE TROUBLE WITH TRIBBLES?????
Um, it's right there.
9:35
Too bad a Gary 7 spinoff could have been interesting.
Not really. It's pretty much a crime drama rip-off anyway.
10:28 That is SO like Kirk!! XD
the only part worth watching ... thank you.
why is shatners nose so big now,his nose when he was 38 wasnt so huge...
Age. A lot more than just wrinkles and white hair can happen to your body when you get old
him n bill clinton. i think he was shatners love child
one of them..
Scotty doesn't believe in gods. Now why does that sound familiar?

because a woman wrote it...
Where tribbles the first Ewoks 😂😂😂
Wow, I haven’t seen this level of butthurt in a comment section in quite a while. It’s pretty funny honestly.
I agree - Lady Gaga was in star trek!
Sargon's people seem to not know how clone or replicate people.Duh
Who's Anton Levin? And since when did Kirk ever punch anybody in the dick?
Excuse me. Spock.
For a supposed fan you are very condecending in your comentaries
I like TOS but the 60's pancake make-up is awful.
Sure spoke wanted more money. Bull shit.
