yeah the Looking Glass Warrior did indeed seem to call-back to He-man when I first saw it, but I chalked it up to Filmation's tendency to re-use things as I had noticed. Such as the sheet model for Dracula in Filmation Ghostbusters _Shades of Dracula_ being the same (maybe slightly updated) as Dracula from The Groovy Ghoulies ( _and Friends_ , as I remember seeing it back in the day).
Well, bear in mind Filmation's Ghostbusters also explicitly used the character designs for Drac and Bella in the episode "The Girl Who Cried Vampire"! :)
That Same/As system being put to good use there. ;) Also the name 'John Guardian', possibly named after John Erwin and the fact He-Man the most powerful man in the universe, acted as a 'guardian' to all of Eternia? ;) Makes you think. :)
Not quite, as not all of those sequences were rotoscoped in the first place - But they did trace over the existing animation...so rotoscoping of sorts! :)
Definitely a tribute, given the artists working on this episode - After all, Filmation spent more on TV animation than any other company in the 1980s, when it would've been cheaper and lazier to get the work completed in Japan or Korea! :)

I want to believe they met and we can call them canon to eachother
Nice idea! :)

My favourite piece of trivia so far!
Thank you! :) - To be honest, I wasn't sure people would care about something THIS random...
Hey that stock footage looks very familiar, John "Sleeveless" Guardian!
If we all had arms like his, we'd never wear sleeves! :)
Now if only there was a crossover.
....
You know, Orko or Mdm. Razz might've fit in on Filmation's Ghostbusters.
I've never thought about that...but Orko appearing on Filmation's Ghostbusters would've been interesting for sure! :)

Nice theory, David! :)
@@cerealgeekTV Thank you James. :)
Funny how they both look running and walking in front 😅
How do you mean? :)
@@cerealgeekTV Just how they look walking and running, Idk how else to explain it LOL!!
Thank you, Dennis! :)
So they just rotoscoped over the rotoscope?

I’m not sure if that was a tribute or just lazy

Thank you, John! :)
@@cerealgeekTV your welcome James.
