As someone who is restoring an old wooden boat, has 3 kids and does stone fabrication work for a living, having anything but a rugged phone is not an option. Nice to see another option.
A "Double Whammy" this week!!! Thank you Guys!! Congrats on the new phone!! Looks "Rugged"... I love Android LOL !!! 😂😂😂 I love how you test your new phone!! (made me nervous!!)
My wife and i both had doogee phones in the past as they were cheap but turned out to be brilliant phones Bought our son a rugged doogee a couple of years ago, so it's probably a model lower than the one you're showing And i can honestly say it's a belter. It does everything my new samsung does and a lot of things even better. The night vision camera was a surprise, and even in a dark room, you can get a brilliant pic If this phone i have now packs in ill Definitely be looking at a doogee to replace it.
That was fun. I love hearing about the THING, advertising for the THING and planning for the THING. LOL I'd rather do that than what I need to go do now; my THING - that I have put off for a few days. I look forward to seeing your progress next week. Cheers
What a nice surprise! Are you trying to make up for the missing week? 😁 Can’t wait to see the copper coat on the keel next week… I hope the new phone works out for you! TC 🍻😎
Guess what ... Ive been watching you on.. I pointed Sailing Melody at the phones and they got the tablet as well for Navigation as its got the monster Battery and is waterproof.. Double that battery capacity and youve got mine. Yes they do bounce but make sure the plugs in the charging socket. The night view cameras useful as well.
Stu. If you haven't put the water tanks I yet,I recommend you hole saw holes in the rib towards the bow so you can put the fittings through the rib. It will give you room for changing hoses or clamps during maintenance and if you ever have to flush the tanks you only have to remove the fittings through the holes in the rib to give you at least 20mm of space to slide the tanks around to be able to get in there to work on them. It makes the most sense and also frees up some space for you to bracket the tanks with tabbed pieces of wood on either side of the tank both port and starboard to be able to wedge them in so they don't move.
Don't own a smart phone. Don't need one. Don't want one. But gotta admit, this comes at a decent price and with decent specs. Reviews are good too. Would certainly be on my short list. Would be even better if it offered Linux.
Great for DOOGEE sponsoring you two... glad you've got a sponsor whos product fits in well with your lifestyle.. those are the best testimonials... If it can handle life in a boat yard, it must be tough... I'd like to see you shoot some video with it and incorporate it into one of your episodes...

Hey Seabird, an extra vid' whoo hoo!
I think with all the sanding you’ve been doing over the last couple of years , you deserve 10 years without having to sand the bottom again 😃🍻
