Keep them sponsorships coming. How can one complain sitting on their sofa that you try to get the most support for your project? This is obviously no money grab. Keep it up guys!
If people don't understand sponserships and how that helps you...... they probably don't understand what a refit costs... I just admire the mental strenght off you 2 to just keep going on! Hope to see it finished one day.. By the way how more the boat shines.. the more little things you will see.. haha.. just get over it.. its a sailboat not a piano!!
I fail to see the connection between sponsorships and knowledge of boat repair costs. I dont need to get sponsors to pay for my boat refit I pay it out of my own pocket
It's so easy for your audience to sit bit and winge and knit pick but we only see a small part of all you are doing and we don't have to do any of it. Of course we would like to see more progress but the time you have to put into this project is enormous and you deserve breaks too. The paint looks great and once it's in the water you won't be looking at the outside so much and we are always our worst critics. Congratulations on getting this far and not throwing in the towel. Can't believe it's been 3 years. Well done to you both.
looking forward to see the whole hull painted, so far so good and I really want to thank you for the opening with the reminder of how your boat looked like at the beginning, amazing transformation. On the topic of sponsorship - you do what you need to do and I simply don't see any issue there, if it helps you do it and do not mind internet trolls ❤
Lovely technique with the tipping brush Stu - you could tell it was the right pressure by the lack of paint transfer to the brush! Obviously helped by Marinas excellent roller work as well! :-) Getting better and better each week because you are #doingthething ! All the best Richard (UK)
Ese es el lema que nos han vendido desde la economía capitalista para exprimirnos bien. En este caso tampoco iría porque lo están haciendo sin agobios y disfrutando de lo que hacen.
Hey Stu & Maria boat’s looking great. Stu I grew up believing baby seagulls were called gully’s but Alexa says they are called chicks. oh well keep up the good work
Paint job looks great,I’ve painted a few boats and they never look right until antifoul and the boot top is on .im sure it will look fantastic well done both of you
Hello again. Marina you are 100% correct, it is scary without the lines. I think you need to put up some kind of safety rope. We don't want to see either of you hurt. Ciao. geo

Your coming along at full speed now , but seabird is now in the past time for a new name 🎉🎉🎉DO THE THING 🎉🎉🎉 Sounds totally right for your reborn boat 😮
Great job.....love the Essay.......get as much sponsorship as you can.......so far the products are good......and your opinions and review of the products help us to make informed decisions on wether the products would actually work in a specific application.......
Great work you two. Sponsor away - who cares? It’s the way of the world. And thanks for the little inspirational message at the beginning. Just what I needed! ❤❤❤
Good piece of advice. A german proverb says ‚Es gibt nichts Gutes, ausser man tut es‘ which is essentially the same advice in one line of text. Keep on going, target is in sight 😊
Hello, I am sure you know this, the blue masking tape removes much easier. Your painting looks great. I think the white is a very good color. Oh goodness, be very careful and don't fall off now the safety lines are gone. Ok, keep up the good work. Can't want for the next video. Ciao. geo
Mariana & Stu: watching you both bring a sense of joy, the way you both do your THING, is truly marvelous, knowing that your THING is always done to perfection. A work of ART every time your THING is done on Seabird. Her topsides look marvelous, shining like a new penny. Possibly you would consider feeding the baby seagull and training as a pet aboard Seabird?
Looking good with the new improved roll and tip teamwork! And very exciting to see the cabin sole starting to go in permanently - you won't know yourselves, having a level surface to walk around on.
I liked your opening essay very much. Like many people, I have spent a great deal of time researching, planning and otherwise stalling doing stuff. when I finally got to "doing the thing" it always took less time than all the preliminaries. The paint may not be perfect, but it is sooo much better than it was. One thing about painting the boat yourselves is that you know where all the flaws are and will see them. Others won't see the flaws as much as you do.
One more thing. You guys are so inspiring. I'm old now but have a plan to buy a certain RV which would be my 3rd and I'm going to completely redo it just like you've done your boat. Of course, it won't be in as bad a shape, but I want to do the entire inside more of a wood style and really have some Neet surprises when people come in it. Very excited about getting it one day. They don't come on the market very often but it's what I want and will wait. :)
looks realy good the sanding back each coat is totally necessary to get a good shine finish, hard work give you the results , wait until you see it in the natural daylight and when it goes in the water the clouds and ripples will reflect off it ,great job yous have done
I have just finished a binge watch from Marina's first attempt at welding (that was just amazing Marina!) right through the entire hull painting process and the results are so beautiful. Actually, I was in favour of the primer grey at first sight but I also ❤ the off-white. FYI only Marina, burnt orange in small amounts looks good on that shade of grey. For Off-white dark or metallic green in measured amounts can work well. Blue can also work, but I think its been over- worked. Note that I am thinking of waterline straps or suchlike as details. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do to the interior! Whatever, I am sure that you will end up with a fantastic boat! And you won't be spending the rest of your lives paying back a mortgage! And wait, yes there's even more! You won't be forever anchored to the flamin ' footpath!
@SailingSeabird while I have your attention I was just about to share a link with you. It is from the Duracell Project where (I can't recall the name) fabricates a most innovative stanchion mount which avoids the need for drilling holes in the deck and thus removing a common source of deckhead leaks. I have just been watching one of your videos starring Stuart removing stanchions from Seabird! This reminded me of the brilliant Duracell solution ! Definitely worth a look!
As long as she's watertight...sail real fast, no one will notice any imperfections. I worked at an auto body shop specializing in Corvettes in my misspent youth.
I know Stu said he doesn't like butyl tape but were those stanchions leaking? It sure looked like there was a great seal around those bolts and plates. Keep up the great work, you two are just brilliant. Cheers
You guys are totally "doing the thing". Seeing that flashback shot of the top of the boat when you bought it was a shock. I've been watching since the beginning and the change iver the last few years has been immense! Also - as a project manager, making lists isn't necessarily a bad thing as long as it helps you then do the thing more effectively.
I’m so pleased for both of you. The refit has certainly come a long way with a lot of hard work. Keep doing that thing you both do. Good luck for the rest of the rebuild
You are doing a great job and your commitment to your project is clear to see. Enjoy the milestones of your boat restoration and look forward to your adventures ahead.
Glad to see you’re happier about the upper paint job ( now do y’all buff it out for a more polished finish ???). Also Glad To See You Doing The Thing !! By the way your neighbor is Doing The Thing Also. And we can hear y’all great. Best to you both. ❤❤
She looks really great. What a transformation from when you started. I am proud of the two of you and your attitudes. I look forward to seeing you enjoy your boat on the water. I enjoy your videos so much. Both of you are brave, smart and have a great banter with each other. WOW love from Italy
Wow. Kudos to you! Here's to the power of determination and one Euro! You mentioned your channel was getting less views... Your audience doesn't have your sticking power. But you do!!!
Well done guys! I knew you could do it, Fantastic job congratulations. Keep up with the sponsorship don't apologise for making a living off your hard work. The least people can do is support you and watch those ads as a thank you for giving them this free content.
Hey, beautiful thing. There may be many things where people comment on the things you do, but don't forget one thing, you do the things you do your way. I think you're doing things just fine. oh yes, one more thing, the paint job looks much better now. Good luck with all the things you will do next week.
Marina, thanks so much for the “Thing” words. I have fallen into so many of the “Not a thing” categories on my project. I watch your Vlog at breakfast on a Saturday morning, I was a bit down with my project this week but now I will print out the “Thing” words to remind me I can’t do everything at once. Paint job looks great I hope mine will be as good. Have a great week. Mick
Keep them sponsorships coming. How can one complain sitting on their sofa that you try to get the most support for your project? This is obviously no money grab.
Keep it up guys!
It's exactly what it is. What else is it
Well, I for one think that this is better than watching TV. I find this very entertaining and I love the comments.
Piano won't sink 😂
I fail to see the connection between sponsorships and knowledge of boat repair costs. I dont need to get sponsors to pay for my boat refit I pay it out of my own pocket
Stuart always has a mischievous glint in his eye when he's on that bike 😂.......The boat is looking great ..... And so are you Marina ❤
He doesn't need to be on the bike to see that. Just look when he was tipping and she was rolling. LOL
Finish looks great!
Can't beat Fiskars kitchen scissors!
Well done Marina what a great worker you are. You take whatever help you need to get the boat in the water 😊
Take all the Sponsors! Keep the progress going. I watch every week.
Fridays are happy days because of your posts.
Thanks for the Things. Ha So nice to be able to work out of the Sun .
Be here be I am here. Loved the quote

Keep doing the THING! Its great to see your THING progress!
What a great Intro!!And great camera removing the stachion !
All the best!!!
Hey, nice paint job.
Thank you! Cheers!
Love your videos & I look forward to seeing them. Keep your spirits up, you will get more viewers.
looking forward to see the whole hull painted, so far so good and I really want to thank you for the opening with the reminder of how your boat looked like at the beginning, amazing transformation. Great job you guys! You are the best content on TH-cam!
“Do the thing!” Great advice 😎
Great "feathering" while 'Rolling & Tipping', Stu!!
The Hull looks amazing after so much sanding, fearing and grinding
💥🙌🏻💥
Paint job looks great
You’re great and don’t worry about the hater’s. You can’t build a boat for free.
Lovely technique with the tipping brush Stu - you could tell it was the right pressure by the lack of paint transfer to the brush! Obviously helped by Marinas excellent roller work as well! :-) Getting better and better each week because you are #doingthething ! All the best Richard (UK)
You doing great. ❤
Thank you!
Something quite soothing about watching a guy sealing up his sailboat humming that perticular Eek-A-Mouse song
All good things come to those that work hard and plug along

Hey Stu & Maria boat’s looking great.
Stu I grew up believing baby seagulls were called gully’s but Alexa says they are called chicks.
oh well keep up the good work
The hull is looking really good so far, well done.
You guys are totally the motivation that works great for me :)
Paint job looks great,I’ve painted a few boats and they never look right until antifoul and the boot top is on .im sure it will look fantastic well done both of you

Looking great, You have to do what you need to get to your end Thing!!
Good Job .Stuart & marina 👍
Your paint will look great for years to come! Can’t wait to see your red boot stripe 😂😂😂
Keep on keeping on. She looks so much better.
Well done both she’s looking lovely, looking forward to seeing her fully painted 👍🏴
You have taken on a massive project and it’s going well, don’t worry about the critics if sponsors help make it happen then it’s a good thing.
Great opening. Great progress. You are both amazing
Great progress, it doesn't happen overnight. Always enjoy watching someone else working!
Hello again. Marina you are 100% correct, it is scary without the lines. I think you need to put up some kind of safety rope. We don't want to see either of you hurt. Ciao. geo
Thank you sharing. Enjoying watching your progress.
All those that sail the seas, will be jealous of the Seabird! She is looking so good.
Well done guys, and good luck for the future.
You guys should have had the blurred lines song playing while pulling the tape off😂
You’re both great at doing the thing and slowly getting there. Great work😊
Really liked the poem! I admire your determination - keep up the spirit!

Good job, you two. Looks beautiful. ❤ BTW, Butyl tape works the best. Yup. It’s sticky, that’s why it works so well. 😂❤
Thank you for sharing that poem 😊 It really helps to keep things in perspective. You guys are doing a great job, keep it up ⛵🌞😀
