  • I fished a creek in southeast Tennessee, this video is unedited from when I started to the end. Ultralight Fishing for several different sunfish species and some largemouth bass mixed in. Not every creek around here has this many fish in it so I wanted to show what a good creek can hold.

I love raw and uncut, mostly because you get to see all the struggles that we all go through, and it's a reminder that all these TH-cam videos aren't just catching fish all the time. So I appreciate you putting out this kind of content

Reminds me of being young. One day I was walking upstream at a new creek and came up on a hole that was so deep I couldn't walk through it as it was over my head. I took my first cast and bombed it down this deep hole and caught a 5 pound bass. I just knew I would lose it but I got lucky and landed it. That was the end of bluegill fishing for me. I was 13 and now I'm 51. Thanks for the video and reminding me of my younger years.

A different concept for this video, yet still entertaining. I did stay with you through the entire video, we, just as you, were expecting nice fish around every corner. This video is exactly what we as fishermen could expect while doing a day walk and wade. Actually, your commentary makes this piece a great tutorial for creek fishing. A little disappointed that a snake didn't find you ! LOL !! Please always be safe. Randy B.

John, I love your channels! You show that someone can have fun by visiting a creek near their home with minimal investment in gear and catch all types of fish. There are still those of us who love this type of fishing without the expense of a 100K bass boat. (Although watching you has made me buy a lot of new lures! ) Thank you for your wonderful videos and your Christian witness.

I noticed how often you had to reposition your plastics after catching a fish. Take a look at Richard Gene the fishing machine. He modifies his jig heads and uses super glue to hold his plastics on so he doesn’t have to adjust them after every cast. Saves time so you can fish more.

I really like this concept John. Not only is it entertaining but it is educational as well. We had the opportunity to see you throw at least 12 different casting angles as well as you explaining what you were casting at or looking at before you cast. Its always been, in my opinion; the fisherman who pay attention to the subtle details always catch more fish. Even when watching fishing tournaments the guys that win are always fishing a detail the others have ignored. When your fishing creeks it seems you have a hyper sensitivity to the area for the details. When you start applying those to your kayak tournaments you start winning many of those. Another great video from start to finish, and I really liked all the different species. GOD BLESS AND GO KATS!!!!!!

Really enjoyed your full uncut one hour video. Never fish in a creek I might try it one day. I can't wait for spring. I bought so many types of lures and many rods and reel. To upload one hour video onto TH-cam. What apps are you using? It's pretty clear anything over 30 minutes tends to loss quality. I'm watching from start to end. I don't like watching short videos. When it's good I like to watch the whole video. Keep on fishing brother.

depends on how far you think far is, if im planning on using a 1/64 i want 2 or 4 lb line, 6 ft to 6-6 ultralight or light rod and i probably get 30 ft or so, with little lure like that sometimes just 15 -20 ft casts is all i really need
