- Whether you want to make this for Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, or another special occasion, this dreamy chocolate strawberry cake will steal the show. The tender and moist chocolate cake layers are filled and coated in a sweet strawberry buttercream which is already a delicious combination on its own, but we kicked it up a notch by drizzling chocolate ganache over the top! This melt-in-your-mouth cake is such a decadent treat, but the fresh, bright flavors from the strawberries really take It to a whole new level and balance the flavors out perfectly.

I made this today for my boyfriend's 28th birthday, his favorite cake flavors are chocolate and strawberry and it was PERFECT. He absolutely fell in love with this cake and so did I, even though I'm not super big on chocolate but omg this cake is to die for! Recipe is well explained, easy to follow and to make as well. It's a messy process hehe but so much fun!! 10/10 thank you for this recipe!! To anyone who reads, it's worth it, make it! It'll be the star of the day.

I would love to see Preppy Kitchen’s take on a big ostentatious wedding cake. I wish more TH-cam bakers would create their versions of the celebratory cake. Feels like a great way of getting to know each baker’s philosophy while getting to see them go wild with creativity. Just a thought!

I actually made this cake recently and it tastes just like a chocolate covered strawberry 🍫🍓🧁😋. Delicious!! I used milk chocolate chips for the ganache instead of semi chocolate. Excellent recipe to try.

can I add just 600gm of sugar while icing? I don't want a looot of sugar. but I don't mind if putting more if it would be better that way.

I made a 6in and 9in 2 tier version of this last week for my daughter's birthday and it came out great (although I had a bunch of frosting left over). I actually added in some cream cheese because the sweetness was a bit much and it balanced it out for me. Tomorrow I am attempting a 6-9-12 3-tier version for her party. Wish me luck!
