China made ultraview is not even close to being priced right. You are paying for a name and that name has the worst warranty and customer service. All the young kids don’t understand that though and are always willing to try to buy accuracy though. You have to be pretty slow to buy a $700 sight that’s made in china but assembled in the US
After seeing a full flagship Matthews equipped bow is between $2500-$3k. A full flagship Hoyt with similar quality parts is the same or more money due to higher bow costs. They are smart, cheaper bow prices, all the nice accessories. Plus you don't have to use their accessories. Thanks for the review boss!
Love mine on my LIFT X33 With my bow speed my 3 pin vertical ended up at 20-30-40 which is great! Worth the money?? Probably not but it’s what I wanted; functions great and looks amazing on my bow! Great review
Great video! In my opinion, its $100 better than the original UV slider. $699 is steep though. Honestly would like to see custom ordering as an option if/when UV comes out with their second gen slider. Most other companies allow for customization from pin sizes, pin colors, scope diameter etc.
Thanks, bro. Yes! I agree. Give us the option to pick horizontal or vertical and more options than just .015 pins. I want a customized vertical pin with a top and middle pin in .019 and the bottom in a .015
I run a boonie and love it. I also have the uv slider gen 1 and I could care less about if I use it or not. Will I spend that much? Absolutely (sarcasm)
From what I have seen on the internet it looks like this and the Axcel Drive are going for the most compact lightweight sights out there. Metal tapes on the Axcel are a nice touch for a premium product. HHA made some neat upgrades too, but not sure if they cut down the weight and size much.
Great review. I’ve become a Mathews fan boy. Took awhile to admit it, but I am. That said I will NOT pay the price for this. I just can NOT get onboard with anything Ultra View. I did pick up one of the original 5 pin Mathews branded Axcel for $140 but for the most part I’m just going to stay with my MBG Ascent Verdicts.
Thank you! Nothing wrong with being brand loyal. I get. I had the Mathews quick disconnect and the Mathews rest when I could have saved a couple of bucks getting the ones without the Mathews Tax Stamp.1 I would be more willing to spend the money on the Mathews UV Sight vs. their $250 stabilizer.
I looked at the Axcel driver, new hha, and dialed pruf. For $100 the engineering and ergonomics of this sight is just better. I don’t regret the purchase
Great video… I got this sight and I’m wondering if it normal that part of the scope is hidden behind the riser at full draw I can’t see the full ring ?
Thought that maybe the price would be very low… should’ve known better with these big companies. I’ve shot a Mathew’s bow for about 6 years now and love it, but a $750 sight is insanity. Thanks for the review. Keep up the good work guys!
Thank you! It is expensive but a well-done sight. I'd recommend just looking at one and comparing it to a less expensive sight to see the difference between them.
Thanks for another great review. I may try one of these UV gen2 sights when UV offers them for other bow brands. No way I'm buying a brand specific sight with how many bows I go through. Hopefully UV takes 50-$100 off of the non Mathews version.
I had the new 3 pin version as well as the gen 1 UV slider. I ended up going back to my landslyde, this sight is definitely an upgrade from the gen 1 but there is no way that it’s worth $700. If you want to buy it that is just great but there is no micro adjust for the horizontal pins and there is a decent amount of plastic on the sight. I have a new Axcel driver on order and I think it will be a better overall sight. I get the weight reduction part but it’s just marketing, there is probably no one here than can feel the 2oz difference 😂
Ok, so I bought the 3 pin horizontal one. I bought it because it meets all my needs. It has been an awesome site so far. I figure this. My cheapest rifle scope is the price of my most expensive bow site. I do not regret buying the site.
The price seems pretty ludicrous, though the steel man argument is that it's a very niche product and while Mathews is a massive brand, they're putting something out that is likely a smaller batch with a higher unit price and it only fits a small percentage of bows on the market. So if you want something special, it's going to cost you. That said, I don't like that they made corrections to the new sight and have done nothing to correct the issues with the gen 1 (particularly the windage knob being sloppy).
Honestly looking at all the sights axcel driver, HHA , dialed They at the end of the day all equal the same $$ due to adding a light adding this and that. Maybe you’ll save a tiny bit but not that much. If $$ is a dealbreaker then go for the other options. Otherwise you cannot go wrong here.
There is just no way i could justify over $700 on a sight. Especially one that only comes with STICKERS. Are you kidding me...$700 and all you get it STICKERS for sight tapes. There are sights that are less than 1/2 the price that come with metal sight tapes. I just don't see the value in Ultraview sights or their arrows. Just my opinion. Thanks for sharing your review on this and showing a good comparison to the old one. Keep up the good work.
I also can't Justify the price. but that isn't Ultraview's problem they aren't making equipment for the average bowhunter. ultraview is a rich hunter/ target shooter company. there are plenty of budget companies out there that you can choose from.
Sticker sight tapes are way better than metal tapes if you shoot past 50 yards because you get way more options on different tapes. Metal sight tapes don't offer enough options and you have to get really lucky to fall right on the correct tape.
That scope is also manufactured in China, where the UV is 🇺🇸 built. There’s no question that we have higher manufacturing costs, but the use of higher-quality aluminum also contributes to cost. There is no doubt that Mathew’s tax stamp adds unnecessary cost, but like I said in the video, the cost of goods isn’t always based on the cost to manufacture. It is more often based on what the customer is willing to pay, and Mathew’s supporters have shown that they don’t mind paying more for Mathew’s Genuine Products.
Dialed Pruf is superior in every single way. Owning the UV slider gen 1 with its barely bright pins made the choice easy
Lets GO! I can't wait for my new bow and sight to arrive.
Assuming Mathews and the New UV?

Anytime!
Got mine. Love it. I do wish they came with metal sight tapes but overall amazing sight
Nice! Its a great sight for sure.

Probably not but it’s what I wanted; functions great and looks amazing on my bow!
Great review
The pins on this one are so much brighter. Which is exactly what was needed! for the price though.... Maybe next year for me
They are for sure. I would love to see a triple stack in a .019
@ give me spot Hogg triple stack independent pins, with dialed or UV housing and slide and I’m sold all day
@Chesebrobrian there are rumors of one coming.
@ take all my money immediately
😂😂 same
Killing it man !
Thanks man!

The Boonie is a nice sight. It made our list of the top 2024 archery products.

I'll be reviewing both the HHA and axcel sights soon.

After the axcel driver got its 2nd redesign
i feel this sight is the best if you can afford it.
I was just noticing this. Are the pins not adjustable???
On the vertical, no. The horizontal yes.

My current Mathews DXT cost me $450 used, ready to hunt 😂. Like this sight a lot, but I chuckle thinking how funny it would be if I had this on my bow
@Stempy you would have Brembo brakes and a Honda Civic 😂😂
Thank you! It is expensive but a well-done sight. I'd recommend just looking at one and comparing it to a less expensive sight to see the difference between them.

I think it's only a matter of time. Too many people want this sight for them not to make it for other bows.
I love to tinker and Frankenstein stuff together. I was wondering if the new scope housing is removable and if it will fit the Gen 1 UV slider?
Thats a great question. I would assume they will be for people that want to retrofit their UV Slider Gen 1s but I'm not 100% sure
No it’s not I tried😂😂😂 they want you to buy the Mathew’s
Thank you for clarifying

I'm very interested in checking out the new Axcel Driver. It looks like another great option.

I wouldn't regret it either. It's an incredible sight.

I think it's only a matter of time before a new non-Matthews-specific version becomes available.

Agree!
been running this sight for a month it’s Niceeee blows the old one away imo
Yes. In comparison to the original, it's a lot nicer.
I got one and I love it. It is $700 not $750
Nice. Its a great sight and with tax its, $750 🙂
You also forgot to talk about the $100 case that comes with it. That I’ll probably never use
😆 mine hasn't been come
off the shelf since I brought my home.
There is just no way i could justify over $700 on a sight. Especially one that only comes with STICKERS. Are you kidding me...$700 and all you get it STICKERS for sight tapes. 100% agree
Thanks man!
99% of archery is an absolute rip-off. You can buy a Arken precision rifle scope 3 to 18 power for 300 bucks
My $300 3x18 power arkan scope says that this sighting system is way overpriced. Unfortunately archery is a huge ripoff. Too bad it's so much fun!
Just....no....why? Thats an insane price for a damn scope.
