That’s not a bad price at all. Have you priced the setup the previous way. $350ish for the Axcel Landslyde slider bar only and then $250 for the UV3XL and another $20ish for the scope rod. This is very reasonably priced for the quality you’re getting. You can always grab a Tru Glo if you want something cheaper. 😂
@@fgpritchett64agree, people will complain about the price but then go buy a 300$ hha and another 260 on scope and rod and say it’s significantly cheaper. For everything you get I think it’s not bad. Still expensive but buy once cry once lol
I figured it was going to be expensive as hell, but at lease they included the scope with the sight, lol! I still wouldn't buy it, but I thought it would be like $600 for just the sight. Still not worth it either way to me. Ultraview is like the Apple of the archery industry...somewhat innovative, but you pay too much of a premium for that innovation.
I like that it has horizontal multi pins.. hate the new vertical multi pins. My CBE engage 3 pin basically works similar, you can adjust the lock so it's super tight but can still move it with more force. The 3 pin indicators are nice. The dual sight tapes are also nice and I love that white insert. I can actually move all 3 pins on my CBE but those 3 indicators would be nice as well. I won't be spending a lot of money on this thing until the prices drop. They seem to have put a LOT of thought into this slider and would guess this is the best slider on the market now.
@@melvinsacromentoe I don't guess it really matters once you get used to them, just something I wasn't used to when I first tried it, then sold it on rokslide. I've been using horizontal pins (5/7 fixed) for 20 years so maybe I'm just set in my ways...I really only use 1 or 3 pins now with a slider so it might not even matter to me much if I tried it again.
Does it have a adjustable zero stop? On the windage adjustment to you get indicators? That drives me nuts if there is no reference on the mating surfaces.
How does it account for arrow drop at the longer distances if the slide keeps the three pins at the same separation? This seems to defy physics. Maybe that’s why it costs $600
Yeah the sight tape. The pins don't move so 20, 30, 40 that gap in between the pins will always be on the sight tape. If your drop down to 60 on the bottom pin its not 40, 50, 60 it could be like 42, 53, 60 if that makes sense.
For reference...the setup shown in this video is set for indicators to touch 20, 30 and 40....When the top pin is then moved down to 60, then the indicators touch 60, 68.5 and 75
I’m glad you said when you’re hunting white tails because we use five pin adjustable out west, by the time you touch the wheel the animal is gone, hopefully they’ll make a site for hunting out west I like all the stuff about it other than it’s missing two pins!!!!
“Out west” is no different than anywhere else. I’m sorry, but if you can’t hunt with a 3 pin and require 5, get better. You shouldn’t be shooting anything over 50 yards that’s skittish anyways. Too much of a chance for it to duck and your shot placement to be off.
Clearly you’ve never hunted out west sir. If you have hit an animal within 50 yards and you’re trying to get a second shot you are definitely going to shoot out beyond 50 yards to finish the animal off possibly.
Sort of....You have different mounting options for the vertical bar, which has that effect, but you are bound by the mounting options. It's not an infinite adjust.
@@LancasterArcherySupplyI’m really debating the UV slider but I’d hate to spend that kind of money and not be able to get the most out of it. Shooting a Phase 4 33 at 30.5/70 with a 520 grain arrow. So not that fast but not slow by any means. Hoping some new strings will wake it up a bit and then see how the slider performs
I just don't get why you would even use a slider for hunting over a fixed pin.. hell I don't even use a range finder because I setup scent bombs at 20 and 40 yards so when the deer walks in and it's between the scent bombs, I already know what pin to use without all the hassle of extra movement, range finder batts dying etc..
Good video as always. The slider is very nice but I think ultra view with glass for 3D and indoor is the best application for the ultra view scope. Not nocking it. Looks super high quality but I think I still prefer Black Gold options for hunting.
I’m slightly confused🤔 since every bow is shooting differently, even though the 30yrd pin is fixed and you want a 20,30,40yrd set up. When you take that scope and set it down on the tape like you did and “found” one that matched that. How can that mean the 20 and 40 are on? Just cuz you found a matching tape doesn’t mean that’s gonna match what the bow is actually shooting? Or am I suppose to find my actually 20,40yrd distance on a blank tape first? At that point why not just transfer the tape over to match🤔 or am I missing something in the video
We didn't use the scope to "find" the sight tape. We shot it and used the sight tape scale to "find" the right tape. In choosing your sight tape, you go out and shoot to get a 20 mark and a 60 mark using the center, fixed pin and the sight scale. Once you have your marks, you match them to one of the sight tapes. Based on your marks, that tape is calibrated to your bow's speed. So...in this case....we put the fixed pin on 30 and then adjusted the top to 20 and the bottom to 40. The sight tape is what was accurate. We moved the pins to match it.
@@LancasterArcherySupply ohhhhh gotcha!! Makes sense now. So your sayin, once you’ve shot you distances to find the correct tape and markings.. then you can take it off and line up the yardage for your other pins since those are adjustable. Ok that makes total sense now. Thanks for clarifying👍🏽
