Red Dead Redemption III, young Arthur Morgan in his 20s, John in his teens. Mexico is the main map, final mission is The Blackwater Massacre. Epilogue is Red Harlow's death story. Final scene is Jack Marston in 1918 closing the final page of a book he wrote entitled "Red Dead Redemption".. Jack turns around in a U.S. military uniform, walking into No Man's Land in WW1. Cut to black. Perfect end for the best Wild West video game series. Rockstar can move on to make a pirate game set in the 1710s.

If they're going to a prequel that ends in the black water massacre, and judging how they treat the main antagonist in the red dead series, it's going to have to be about the Callender Bro's. Breandan O'Keefe she’s a very good character, she helped Arthur and John a ton when other gang members wouldn’t (I’m not going to state specific instances since I don’t want to spoil anything)

Is egar to take a more intrical part of the crew. Kills a bunch of bad guys, gets revenge for her husband's death. Is still hurt, makes a unbreakable bond with Arthur, saves the crew from the Pinkertons, saves Abigail and kills more Pinkertons and finishes with a life of bounty hunting. Awesome character development

Despite what most say, Dutch was a great leader but he also turned insane quite realistically after two of the only men that he trusted died. I kind of feel for him.

This just goes to show that when times are good, Dutch can preach his morals and seems like a good guy, but in times of crisis, he shows who he really is.
there is no fake dutch. all we saw was dutch, he wasn't always a inhumane coward, he was a person given the wrong cards but he kept playing. the anxiety and guilt of blackwater has overtaken him every time he messed up and someone dies bc he plays the fools gambit, that's when he started to self destruct

No one thought that a prequel to RDR would've worked and yet here we are. Yes, another prequel for RDR3 as Dutch, or even Hosea, with Arthur as a teen or even Marston as a child like Jack could be amazing. A REAL western like you said. However, I am also keen to see Jacks story after killing Ross.

@@gettheleadoutaerosmith Jenny is the only gang member to die IN blackwater. Mac and Sean kinda escape but we know that Sean is caught and by the time the Pinkertons catch up with Mac, he's basically dead already. Milton interrogates him and then kills him.
Fat Pancake Jenny Kirk DID NOT die in Blackwater and neither did Davey lol they were both fatally injured and succumbed to their wounds before the gang could reach colter which is why Jenny was buried in spider gorge which is really really close to colter Mac was the only one that we know who could have potentially died in Blackwater..John was also shot but he didn’t have a fatal wound like Jenny & Davey so conclusion Davey & Jenny died as a result of the Blackwater massacre but they didn’t die during the Blackwater massacre so please learn your lore before making a comment also as for Mac he could’ve died during interrogation but Milton says when he came across Mac he was shot up really bad Milton also says his death was slow but merciful meaning he probably let him die of his wounds or Milton himself finished him off

Very well-done, dude. I really hope Rockstar does more with this. It would be awesome to play as Arthur again and relive this heist. It would be even cooler to a prequel to RDR2 that takes place long before, and maybe you play as Dutch and build the gang up and prosper.
Arthur wasn't at the Black Water heist. He and Hosea were elsewhere working on a different job.

I hope they make a game about a mafoso (either jewish or italian) during the prohibition in which Jack is a significant side charakter who makes alcohol and is associated to either the italian or the jewish mafia (idk of which).
Great video man, thanks! Ever since I completed the game the first time, I've really wanted them to either give us a DLC or even RDR3 set even further back than RDR2 so we really get to see more backstory, character growth and finally what went down in Blackwater. Who knows if we'll ever get anything, but they placed so much emphasis on Blackwater that it wouldn't make sense to NOT go back and fill in the blanks. I guess we just wait and see!

I’ll give you the hint about the Blackwater Massacre:
The Van der Linde gang itself was hit hard, having to escape north into the mountains of Ambarino, eventually settling in an abandoned town called Colter. Morale among the members was extremely low following the massacre, with Arthur and Hosea in particular blaming Micah for persuading Dutch to go ahead with something so reckless. The massacre also resulted in a number of casualties:
John Marston was shot in the arm during the massacre, although it appears to have been a fairly minor injury as he was sent out scouting shortly afterwards when the gang had reached Ambarino.
Charles Smith burned his hand, and while unable to properly use a bow was still well enough to manage the gang's horses and otherwise help with camp work in Colter.
Davey Callander sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the gut during the massacre,[3] but still accompanied the rest of the gang in heading north. He passed away when the gang reached Colter, and was subsequently buried there.
Mac Callander was also shot and was unable to leave with the escaping gang. He was found by Agent Milton shortly afterwards, who described Mac as “pretty shot up”. The detective questioned Mac, and later killed him in what he sarcastically described as a “mercy killing” sometime later.
Jenny Kirk was mortally wounded and died shortly after the gang’s escape, passing away some time before Davey. She was buried just north of Colter.
Sean MacGuire wasn't injured, but was captured by bounty hunters led by Ike Skelding shortly after the events of the massacre, who intended to transfer him to a federal prison. Sean was also tortured at some point, but refused to reveal anything. He was later rescued by his fellow gang members.
All the money is in Dutchs strongbox at the end of the game in the mountains, dutch walks off into the snow but as John Marston i killed Dutch in Red Dead Redemption 1 and ill do it again if its remastered as a DLC like they are saying Lol

I know what this game needs, another DLC that takes place in Blackwater that would give players an idea of what exactly went down and a chance to know the dead characters you don't see in the game.
But it would be cool if I played as Dutch this time.
I'd like to go as far back as the beginning. When Arthur and John first meet Dutch

It's almost the same as when you finally run into Dutch in Red Dead Redemption. Dutch and his new gang are robbing the bank in Blackwater. John and the feds have a shootout with his gang and eventually rush the bank in order to corner him. Dutch takes the bank's staff hostage including a young woman who he is personally using as a shield to ensure they don't shoot as he inches his way towards the exit. A standoff occurs and John and Dutch exchange words. John tries to urge Dutch to let the woman go, but Dutch shoots the woman in the head and rushes out the door. He and the remaining gang members flee into the woods at Tall Trees. John and the feds give chase and have a second shootout in the woods, but Dutch is nowhere to be found in the aftermath.
I hope for the next game it's another prequel where we see how the van der linde gang start out and this time you get two players Arthur again I think it should show when Hosea and Dutch first met all the way up to when we play as young Arthur and instead of him being as grumpy as he is he's more relaxed personally I think this makes sense because the first game was set at the very end with John Marston capturing former Gang members and getting his Redemption the second game starts out with them on the Run losing there cool and being more obvious basically becoming incompetent and desperate along with Dutch and his non-existent plan but the 3rd game should be when the Gang forms and then when they are in their Prime committing Train Robbery bank robberies without the law being down on them so quickly and they are more competent and able to get away with crimes and the end credits scene should show the Blackwater massacre in it's entirety

I think we should stray away from the Van Der Linde Gang in Red Dead 3 (maybe into the golden age of the west, Red Harlow could be mentioned more).
But there was mentioned that there was an unnamed gang member that turned traitor and was killed in the middle of camp at some point - maybe that could be a protagonist of a red dead 3, either a backstabbing low honour person that tries to sell out the gang, or a high honour character that sees Dutch starting his descent into madness and tries to get out.
Red Harlow is not in RDR Universe they are seperate games from red dead revolver. He is a fairy tale to them

I noticed it was on the back of the newspaper scrap and also the game gives prompts to examine bottles of it throughout the world for no apparent reason. One was at Ottis Skinner's campsite where you also find a lot of similarities from the Indian burial ground.
There is also a bounty poster about Javier, apparently he is worth $1,000 and I believe Arthur is worth $5,000.

Knowing that every witness tryst to tell on you even if they have a gun to their head, it kind of makes sense.
The black water massacre would be a great DLC. Imagine playing as Dutch giving commands and shooting up Blackwater.
Also seeing Micah for the first time could be kinda cool too. Y’know after having completing the game we thought we’d finally gotten rid of him and then we’ll just see his disturbing grin once again.
“Red Dead Blackwater” you play as Mac Callander where you play out the events before the ferry heist, you get to see new areas and get to see characters enter the gang such as Sean, Charles and Micah. At the end of the game Mac stays behind and makes sure the gang gets, a man then comes up who could be Landa Rikkets and you fight him who eventually wounds you and leaves, agent Milton then comes and Mac says “ who will never find them” Milton shoots him and it ends with them going to the mountains and Dutch sending Arthur ahead to find shelter, Arthur rides off towards the camera and the title of the game comes up the same why it did when jack kills Ross at the end of the first red dead

I think Dutch buried it in that grave like you suggested and used it to form the gang in RD1. I mean just look at where he’s hiding in that game a fort with lots of resources. He probably at one point cared for all the gang but Micah whispering in his ear and his own temptations caused him to go astray.

It would be absolutely awsome to see a whole another game developed based on the very beginning like when Dutch started his crimes and recruiting Arthur at a young age and it ends exactly at the black water heist and shows where the money was hidden and really ends riding back up to the snowy moutains again

First up Micah and Dutch actually have the money from blackwater you hear Micah say at the last mission American venom I have all the money in blackwater most of it at least but the story was untold so mrboss is trying to solve it and John gets the rest of the money
Red Dead Realization:
Set in 1885, Dutch and the gang are in a new region north east of the United States based around Chicago, Ohio and the Appalachian Mountains. A 35 year old Dutch is navigating a much different gang and picks up a young John Marston. The story would show Dutch understanding his place in the world and gaining some notoriety. You could see Arthor get the waitress pregnant and then see his reaction to their deaths. He and Hosea in their primes would be a treat to watch and you could get a feel for how Dutch always thinks he's in the right and you wouldn't need to worry too much about continuity since we know Dutch is a habitual liar. At the end of the game, you flash 8 years later and play as Arthur and see him fall in love and eventually lose that love, realizing that no amount of good intentions will ever lead him to a positive end.

This is something that I find interesting that no one may noticed but if you pay close attention about Arthur's thoughts towards civilization, it hints that even with civilization there will always be corruption (despite it gets better a bit) however there is a dialogue with (I forget whats her name) where Arthur mentions that he noticed the world around him is changing and that change will consume him and his gang and there will be no place for outlaws to live like outlaws, now some of you are wondering "how is that special?" well its not special but the mind set on how people back then thought about a developing world where some people like 20 years ago might say "a computer, why would you need that?" when many jobs require a know how to operate a computer

I still wonder why they (rockstars) chose Blackwater as the heist city. They knew Marston would eventually live nearby and honestly it makes no sense that a wanted dead or alive outlaw chooses to settle down a few miles from the town it all went to shit in.

The breakdown of Dutch, He loses his virtue when he shoots the Innocent girl,Then he loses reason and logic when Hosea is killed, Then he loses hope for the future when he finds out Author is sick.
My theory is you start the red dead redemption series as John you go back a few years in the second game then in rdr3 you are Dutch .and at the end of the game you rob the ferry at the end of rdr3.

I believe the blackwater massacre is named after an atrocity that happened in iraq in 2007. I think this is a hint out to how terrible the blackwater massacre was in RDR2.

I think RDR3 will take place before RDR2, with Arthurs upbringing after being taken in by Dutch, a more in depth story of Arthur's wife and child, and ultamatly the Black Water incident towards the end of the game.

I think for rdr3 it should the events before the blackwater massacre and we can play as arthur or john and the final mission can be the Blackwater heist
I think if they will make a Red Dead Redemption 3 that you will be able to play as Hosea, first in his younger years where you see how the gang was formed and he and Dutch raised John and Arthur and that the game will progress until the Blackwater Massacre.
Landon ricketts also partipated in the Blackwater massacre in rdr1 in the news paper as Jack after Landon dies when ur playing as Jack it will say that he dies in his sleep it tells about his past and it mention the black water massacre and that he participated in it
