Thanks for the video MrBossFTW. Although I was there for the John Marston meeting Mayor Lemieux one and I must say, you really need to try to get these encounters with John instead of finishing these side missions as Arthur.
We need a game with Arthur Morgan as the main character as a young man. How he met Eliza and the birth of Issac would be great to see. Start it like Red Dead Revolver when he's a kid and progress chapter to chapter throughout his early life. Would love to be able to play as Arthur meeting Dutch for the first time. R* hit a home run with the character of Arthur and I feel if they gave him his own game it would probably be one of the best selling games ever. I'm not even gonna try to count the number of post I've seen of how people got so upset over Arthur's death. RIP Mr. Morgan.
They could still work John into it too since John and Arthur were the longest standing members of the Van der Linde Gang outside of Dutch and Hosea. Or we could get a game about Hosea and his life before meeting Dutch and both the early years of the Van der Linde's and Arthur and John.
They could let us follow both Arthur and Johns ascension into the gang, and it can end with the infamous black water Robbery. This time, there’s no redemption, so it’s Red Dead , Dawn of the Outlaws.
You must not have done that specific Mission with the wolves with Arthur, because that was the exact same location dialogue and everything if you do it as Arthur other than them talkin about author
If you do the first the veteran mission as aurthur but do the second one as John than hamish will say who is there and it will be a little conversation about aurthur for a second
@MrBossFTW Lol while I was going to find Micah's unique double-action revolver, I unintentionally passed through the camp from the first chapter in the snowy mountains. The kicker? I actually heard voice overs of a few of the characters saying their iconic lines from Chapter One. It was pretty terrifying, but sad at the same time.
I didn't know you could do the stranger missions as John, I did all of them as Arthur because I wasn't sure if I can still do them after the chapter they become available in. The only one I know you have to do as John is the ones for Evelyn Miller, the writer that you meet at the mayor's house in the mission The Gilded Cage. I've done everything I possibly can as Arthur and I may do another playthrough and skip anything that's not part of the main story so I can do everything I possibly can as John.
Fun Fact: if you complete every albert mason mission before you do the artists way, art museum mission, some of the painting will be replaced with albert masons photos, including one of Arthur, that does make me wonder, if you start the albert mason missions as john, finish them, and do the art exhibit mission, would it still be arthurs photo on the wall?
There's a couple stranger missions I'm saving for John JUST because I want a little remembrance for Arthur. Everyone seems to use the Wolf photo mission probably for that little bonus dialogue but I'm saving the last Eagle one hoping it gives a little added depth to Mason and Arthur's relationship
I hope RDR3 will be as Hosea in his youth where he meets Dutch, Arthur, Annabelle and Bessie. Sort of like when the gang was all coming together rather than just falling apart. Failing that; I'd love a game where you play as Sadie Adler post RDR.
You kinda missed one if you visit the guy near Roanoke lake who you went hunting with but if you wait until the last one and do it with John you get completely different dialogue
theres a ranom encounter of a man who breaks his leg and asks for help outside valentine, if you give him medicine theres a random chance you will find him sitting outside the gunshop in town and he offers to buy you a gun of your choice using his credit.

Arthur saves John two times in the game. The beginning and the end. John is dying in the beginning on a rock in the west. Arthur died on a rock to the west at the end. WTF?
I just completed that as Arthur, the one at 1:26 And can't wait to play as John Marston for the first time I already made John Marston as my GTA ONLINE character
What's funny is that John talks with Mason like he did the first mission himself while the quote where he remember Arthur clearly says that Arthur retrieved Mason's bag

I visited him as John for the first time and there was no mention of coyotes. Infact, I had to save his bag from a coyote in that first encounter as Arthur never met him before
They should bring to the beginning of the entire gang getting together and their antics all the way to the future adventures of Jack and his justice he enstills for the entire gang from his first imprinted memories .to him gathering his own gang and dismantling the law to the last horseshoe nail that is holding it together

The journal is pretty clear on how weird the strangers Arthur meets are. Not odd in the slightest, sweet if you think about it. He learned to read from Hosea.

Doing my all John stranger playthrough this year, blew through the game and have been epilogueing for months and thats the only mistake I've seen that just didnt make any sense.

Does the cheaper cost of items in Sanit denis transfer to John. I am referring to when you have an option to kill this guy or not. If you choose to kill him it’s cheaper to buy items in Sanit Denis?
Odd how all these characters would put their lives on hold for 8 years just to have John help complete what they needed done. Couldn’t any of them get someone else to do it during that time? lol Probably the only one worth leaving and revisiting is the veteran so John can have the gold horse after Arthur dies. 😏

When I went to Dragic as John I just walked in and didn't get a cutscene, he was just dead on the floor.
Maybe you could try finding Dr. Marco's robot as John in the epilogue
