Just a quick email to all the enquirers for the beautiful HR Holden for sale. I can now confirm the HR Holden has sold for $45000, and substantial deposits paid. If anything changes for any reason, I will most certainly let you know but judging by the buyers intentions and love for HRs, I suspect all will go very smoothly.
It was great chatting to everybody involved in the sales process and we did our best to treat everyone on a level playing field but the buyers offering to buy unconditionally obviously had the best chances to proceed which is not everyone's cup of tea.
12 buyers in total, 3 dreamers offering a range of $$20,000 to $35,000, 6 of which I felt were reasonably serious and really enjoyed chatting with, 3 that were hell bent on owning it and I now know those 3 people extremely well now, all would do the car justice and all are looking to honour my mate Marks memory, however, only 1 x HR Holden for sale so from the words in Highlander, "There can be only one"....
I understand that all buyers are at a disadvantage not always knowing the seller and whilst I felt the proof of investment was in the photos and the video, distance and I suppose buyers not knowing the seller intimately for some ended up being an issue which is completely understandable. One buyer was interesting, do I have or have I ever had any interaction with organised crime? Curious question, when I explained I have worked in a technical contract role for a number of state police departments around Australia and indeed, the world, he ticked a box of questions he had. I think he had 30 plus questions, an hour on the phone and as I like to treat everybody equally, I gave him the time he needed but a number of you were me and getting my message bank and I kept thinking, how many more questions from this guy, but I did offer to send my work resume' in jest🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank you again for all your positive comments and feedback, it was a busy but very enjoyable 24 hours selling one beautiful HR Holden

Really torn on this one but I'm going down another path as well as in love with that beautiful 1959 vette that I want to throw some more $$$ into, now that car has me a little obsessed, and you know your obsessed when you sometimes sit in it, just dreaming about bits to do with it and don't actually end up driving anywhere 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 whoever gets the HR will be impressed, it's just a credit to mark who built 95% of it, RIP Mark..❤
Has the hr sold
I like the Biden big boy dig mate. Lol
What is the price range you are looking for?
Sold for $45,000..
Im doing a full nut and bolt resto on my HD, im absolutely sick of panel work
Not giving my opinion on Holden cars, because it is not what you would like. If you want a REAL supercar, you better start saving your money, because those cars are literally MILLIONS of dollars ($155M to be precise!)
Announcements coming, but more around the hundreds of thousands variety in my case unfortunately, your correct, millions I don't have🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Was this the slight loss due to a fire on board? The Burning Cargo Ship That Was Carrying $155 Million in Porsches, Bentleys and Lamborghinis Has Sunk
The ship, which carried over 4,000 Volkswagen AG cars, was being towed to land when it went under.
@@brentonmeadowsvk3cm no. The car I speak of has only one of its type ever built, hence the hefty price tag. This car was driven by Rudolph Uhlenhaut as his work car. It is a Mercedes Benz W198 300SLR racing car with a canopy fitted. This car was specifically designed and built for him. The other variants were built for racing, and were designed to be used as either open wheel or streamline set up, depending on where it was being raced. Stirling Moss and Manuel Fangio both drove these cars, and both are now in the Mercedes museum in Germany. The Uhlenhaut coupe is currently in private hands.
I was hoping to hear that whining sound when you opened one of the doors😂
