Watching Kevin teach is a treat… Like… Even as a percussionist watching this… I’m hyped as all get out just watching them run those segs. Leave it all on the field, Bloo! 💙
Have you seen the 2014 Crown small brass ensemble he was in? There are a couple encore videos with him leading the group (and the entire crowd!) just like this, you can tell he's in love with his job.
Being both a Bluecoats alum and part of the instructional staff from Carolina Crown in 2013 when Kevin was a member watching this…..the mountains of emotions running through me right now can not be properly articulated! I’m gonna be a mess tonight. Beyond proud to have seen every bit of hard work pay off for him. He’s earned every bit of it 💙
The high trumpet player combined with the trombone high glissando are beyond belief. And it was perfect and shocking every time I heard it. What a gift this show was. It probably won't be matched for quite some time. Visually and aurally a masterpiece of utter originality.
Kevin swung by my town to help out with a few rehearsals for our winds group one time last year, and I gotta say, the teaching style is just insane. The energy he brings to the performers is fucking awesome.
Sad to see Kevin with a different group but I will always be thankful for him and his instruction staff. Having him as my brass caption head in 2019 helped shape who I was as a member both on and off the field.
I went to a cavies audition in my sophomore year just to see what dci is like, and I will say in the weekend I was listening to this legend right here I learned so much about my own playing and how to just think about music, he changed my music entirely
I think the offbeat stuff in the ballad cost them. It just never got perfect. Still a great show, great performances all year and amazing amount of improvement from June. Good job Bloo
Of course I love you, he said. You are my light, my moon, my stars. Without you, I have no reason for being! Best live narration delivery in DCI history, and so integral to their show.
"We are NOT going to be careful now" Bless this dude.

Beautiful.
So glad Kevin is getting the credit he's due. He was a fantastic musician when we were at Rutgers together and great to see him working with the kids.

I love that you can also hear the Boston Drumline in the background at 6:00 playing Spanks
I had no idea until today that he was the vocalist for Carolina Crown E=mc2
He was a vocalist in ‘13 and ‘14 btw
I’ve only watched half of this and I LOVE this guy. His vibes are just beyond like… awesome. I hope someday I can learn from him.

I LOVE THE SCREAMER
yeah I got to be in-between both of them, they're amazing guys, and great players
Gabe and Chris are GOD TIER
i was inbetween them and they would just spam double As@@micah3986
Love Kevin so much, was awesome to work with during camps when I was auditioning! Such an awesome dude
One of the best educators in the activity. I always wish I could've learned under bluecoats pedagogy

Gotta love the Carolina Crown brass cross pollination machine!
what a great teacher
He came down to teach our high school last year and even as a percussionist it was so cool to see him work his magic.
we arent gonna talk about 171 TO THE END 171 sets IS CRAZy
There have definitely been shows with more sets, even back when shows were shorter. But 171 is a lot
@@jordantyler148 wanna say we had close to if not over 300 sets in 2010 at Bloo. Entire opener was 7 count moves
@@RatSlayerGaming i remember hearing spin cycle was over 300 sets, but sometimes its also just how the drill writer writes the sets.
I mean as a mediocre Texas high school our opener is 40 sets, I'm not too surprised
Spin cycle had 230+
In fact at Colts we had 194, I completely forgot I marched
Sounds great. Cool shirt.
You guys sound great
Spanks in the background of the last half is fye
fye?
I LOVE it!
That trombone gliss in the last section shocked me
As is did to me. Unbelievable.

Is the same dude that was the ring leader for the Carolina Crown small ensemble way back when (2014)? I swear that's the same voice.
It is. He was also the narrator during the Abyss movement of their 2013 championship show. "Everything must have an end, except my love for you"
@@KevinGamin Thank you for responding. The world needs more people like Kevin.
Come on feet!
3:20 Come onnnnnn
this is the guy who helps Bloo get its first Ott after receiving a couple himself!
Why did their old caption head leave?
Derek never actually left, just wanted to spend more time with his family. We love our brass staff :)
At what time can I see in the lot?
Yesterday it was like 5pm arrival for perc
If you're there, usually about 2 hours before they perform
@@Jigen_Isshiki at what time do they perform?

I miss the days where you could tell which corps you were watching by the uniforms.
no corp these days should suffer from wool uniforms in the middle of summer - not with the visual demand that's expected.
womp womp
That screamer could never get it the entire season, BD still has them on that
2:23 corporations when pride month ends:
You're such a loser. Seek help. I certainly hope you're not affiliated with the marching band scene, with that disgusting view on life you have.
Why are the jugs different colors? I'd hate to see a horn stack
Please marry me Gabe
For the love of God, please just stop with these costumes…
You know you can leave and never come back, right? You don’t have to be a hateful brat
