Watercolor Abstract Art Mixed with Neurographic Art | Mindfulness and Relaxation with Art

I was inspired to create this little watercolor abstract piece by connecting with the element of water and how it creates beautiful bubbles when it moves. I infused my piece with some neurographic art lines to create some contrast and add more visual interest to the piece. It was an easy painting to make and I hope it can inspire you to create some artwork of your own using my simple techniques.

Here’s a list of the materials I used for this painting:
* Hot pressed watercolor paper by Khadi
* Art tape
* Water
* Paper towel
* Pencil
* Kneadable eraser to lighten my pencil lines
* Zig dual tip marker in black
* Any blue water color paint for the background
* Kremer Pigmente watercolors in gold, silver and bronze (maybe the Olympics influenced me a little here too, hehe!)
* A variety of different watercolor brushes
* White pen
The music for this video was provided by the You Tube Audio library.
I recorded my video using my iPhone 12 and edited my video using iMovie.

I'm a beginner at art. I tried to do some abstract art but they didn't turn out that good. I think it's coz I'm using cheaper watercolour paints. There just didn't seem enough pigment maybe it's just me lol. I even added some acrylic paint to brighten them up and I'm still not happy with the results. So I decided I'm going to use them as backgrounds for some neurographic art. This is one thing I love about art sometimes the results are unpredictable and that's when inspiration hits lol.

The quality of your materials will definitely make a difference! Like you, I started with less expensive materials and I think it’s good to do so before deciding if you think it’s worth investing in higher quality materials. I love that you’re experimenting with other media and using your imagination to not give up on what you’ve already put down on paper. We learn so much by doing this!
