Hello Zane, So here's the $64M question. You state at 7:13 you can get the same amount of traffic with GMB as with Google Ads. How do you promote yourself with GMB outside your local area?
Hi Allan - yes it has to be considered within the context of how far you want to reach. For national enquiries then Ads will always beat GBP (Google Business Profile - see th-cam.com/video/TwKz8wKxLBQ/w-d-xo.html ) So the question I answer at that point of the video is yes for local traffic. I think as always, every business is different, so i always suggest a few months of testing as sometimes Ads can work really well. For me and web designing it was an absolute opposite and GMB or now GBP has incredible results compared to the money invested into Bing and Google Ads
Yes but not really. I tried Google Ads but it was premature and didn't get any results. Now my website and online courses are very close to being on par with the "big boys." I'm making some final touches to my website and feel that my GMP is looking good so I'm now watching videos on how to use Google Ads. With GMP I'm in the 3 pack under the Ads for my local area but outside my local area, I'm not competitive. There are 50 estate schools in IL USA but there's really only about 6 that are grabbing all the business and they all use Google Ads so it is looking obvious to me that the next step is to learn and use Google Ads. Thanks for your detailed response! I didn't think there was a trick to get in the 3 pack outside my immediate local but I figured it was worth asking. Thanks for all your great videos! I've watched and learned a lot from watching TH-cam tutorials. I literally taught myself how to build a fully functional website with online courses that can be purchased entirely hands-off from TH-cam videos. Now I'm teaching myself how to promote it.

yes that's true, every business can be effected quite differently, so it's worth trying out
