Not sure what is going on with GBP at the moment. I have a client that is ranked in the 3 pack for 11 keywords / services on mobile but the same keywords are down around position 15 on desktop and are bouncing up and down the rankings by a few places daily. This is for a specific location search which my client is in the centre of. The desktop listing is being outranked by listings that are majorly incomplete, some are out of the local area and one does not even have a location pin on the map, its HQ is over 200 miles away and the local business is merely an installation team but it is ranking number 2. What the hell is Google playing at.
yes, this is where the flux tool and also monitoring it is useful as it shows Google is currently doing a lot of updates and these are proof of the current inconsistencies. Do you offer a service where you assess a Google listing and related website and then write up a report and a plan? And if so, what kind of price range are we talking about?
Great question - simple answer is yes, in the past it has been a little more difficult being service rather than a shop/map location business, but recent updates are trying to address the balance
If I wanted to do this for clients (the initial claiming and optimizing as well as management) would there be a way to test this out ahead of time? I know there are a lot of details you can put in without being verified but would really like to test out more such as actually getting it verified and some other details before offering it to others. Yet, without a legitimate business to verify I wasn't sure if there might be some other way to test this out? Or some way to get it verified and then soon after have it removed? Do you have any suggestions on this? Thank you for your all the help you provide with your videos. I have learned a lot!

What I meant was I wanted to try out a "fake" business profile from scratch to test out everything from initially putting it on google to getting it verified and fully optimized. I was hoping to essentially try out all the details prior to reaching out to potential clients and offering to do this for them.
@@pinklilac7 Ah ok, that can work, but it will be down to weather and how you initally verifiy it, might be easier to ask a friend if you can set one up for them if they dont have one and use that as a genuine learning base

I'm not too sure I fully understand the question, why not just optimise a profile that is already verified?
