    The main thing that pulls me towards this phone is the flat design and symmetrical bezels... I love the iphone design but prefer android, so this is a perfect blend of those two.. I wish they had the front camera in the center... I think, this is a decent phone considering this is the first one.. I hope there will be quite a lot improvememts over coming gens...

      I actually prefer it to the side personally, I think it’s less intrusive when watching videos. Each to their own though, would be interested to know why you prefer it centred?

    I LOVE that Sam talks about haptics in every phone review. The feel of great haptics is so hard to communicate, but makes a phone feel ultra premium when done right.

    Comparing the Nothing Phone to the Oneplus 8T(my current phone), the benchmark scores for the CPU are actually shockingly close considering the 8T has a flagship 865 in it. I know benchmarks don't tell the full story, but it seems that at least according to GSMArena, both CPU benchmark performance and battery life are VERY close between the two. GPU the 865 pulls ahead, but I'm not a heavy gamer. The other things stopping me from considering Nothing are the price and the fact that they aren't selling to North America, at least for now. Maybe Carl Pei will take Nothing to the old OnePlus glory days?

  • @Nopski_

    the only problem about "the enthusiast device" people who will make the device successful will be left hanging in the future. oneplus was great in terms of listening to the community when they started but they slowly shifted to selling themselves out to get more market outside of the enthusiast crowd

    7:27 you don’t have to go to that menu, go to the hotspot toggle and make sure you click the smaller circle where the hotspot logo is and then it toggles it on and off instead of going through the other menu, same thing goes the the WiFi and mobile data toggles

    To turn on the hotspot, you don't need to keep swiping. You can just click on mobile data and the 3 options will appear (mobile data, hotspot and wifi)

    • @VVardaddy
      @VVardaddy 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      AFAIK that makes the entire swiping redundant. If you swipe to hotspot and it opens the same menu as if you clicked on wifi then it's useless. Maybe the devs planning to inlcude the feature mentioned in this video.

    The network toggles on the top are as easy to use as in any other Android phone. You just need to tap and it opens the toggles to Mobile data, Wi-Fi and Hotspot. Yes there is an extra tap needed to turn on those. But it's not as you say. Like to swipe three times and then tap it to open Hotspot. Not to sound rude but How are you people not seeing this. Every TH-camr says the same thing over and over again. So is this how you test a phone after having used it for over a month. I've been using the phone for more than a month. Do check that

      The feature sounds awfully lot like what Microsoft did with Windows 11 😂

      @@dheeraj3945 I would argue that its more convenient to just tap the shortcut toggle and get the menu with all the toggles at the bottom of the screen, rather than to swipe between the actual toggles in the quicksettings, which is at the top of the screen.

      @@itsnorob isn't it better convenience if it's further decluttered and a drop down is popped up directly for relevant sub texts?

      Yes definitely aware of this, just wish they did act as toggles!

    Aren't they supposed to be upping it's screen brightness again in a future update . I hope the screen isn't as dull as the pixel 6's

      It has a cinematic vibe about it. Yet it doesn't feel so typical tech reviewer esque

    Does everyone is observing pink tint in control panel, while scrolling in Netflix and Twitter? Or it is only limited to few devices?
