I am already doing this. We have tubewares full of yarns a lot came from when Kmart was here. I have been making granny square because that will use it up fast but this is also a very good idea. Thanks you you have just helped me to use this yarn up fast.
I've made blankets like this in the past and they're great fun. As my yarn bits are on the small side, I started with smaller granny squares and am getting ready to join them together. Looking forward to seeing how Jennifer's comes along, I like the colors she has put together!
Omgosh!! I am so excited to do this project. I just went through all my leftovers and was wondering what the heck I was going to do with them. NOW I KNOW!!!🤗🤗.Thank you and happy new year!
thanks for the great idea! I was just looking at my many small balls and wondering if I could use them up this year. I will definitely try this! Happy new year!
Sounds like fun. I have not done a granny sqare for years. I mean like 30 years. Thank you for the refreshing tutorial. I need a stash buster. Have a great day!😊😊😊🤪
Yayyyy!!!!!! I’m so glad this video is out!!! I’ve been waiting for this video since you posted the 2020 granny stashdown reveal!!! I’ve already started and I’m far into it!
This is awesome. I am using my stash of cotton yarns and making dish clothes. I'm hoping to get an apartment soon and I figured this would save me some money not buying dish clothes and I get to craft at the same time. So that's what I'm working on as far as my stash down. But this is a wonderful idea. Keep it in mind for next project. Tfs
I’m actually working on this project as we speak I wasn’t a fan how my corners were coming out I’m glad I seen this looks like I can fix it of course I have to start over but I don’t mind
I like using two strands, but I dislike my blanket feeling like a rug. What size hook should I use if 1) I crochet tight-ish 😁 and 2) I want a looser flowyish blanket?
Just make a swatch and keep going up in hook size till your swatch is as loose as you want it then you will know the hook size you will need to make a flowie blanket. That’s what I do. I go up or down in hook size till I get the feel that I want. Happy New Year 🎆🎈🎊 and stay safe and healthy
It sounds like fun but I am finishing up a huge granny square with 10 colors that consists of 40 rounds. I am about at my wits end and don't think I can do this. I don't know how long it will be defore I will be able to make a granny square again. I've had my fill for the time being. I will keep track of your progress. I'm looking to make a 2 strand zig zag oversized shawl to use up my stash. I wish you all the best in your project.
I just wanted to let you know that I really appreciate your newsletter! During thus weird time when we're all stuck at home it's nice to have your company. I went shopping @ family dollar and I found d a t-shirt that is very appreciate for what we're all going through..."First Rule Of 2021: Never Talk 2020" LOL. I had no choice but to buy it.
You should have a challenge using scraps of yarn OF DIFFERENT WEIGHTS. Because I have from fingerling to bulky, and I do not have enough of any one weight to make anything.
HELLO, love your challenge, have a lot of scrape yarn. Was wondering what to do with it. Thank You. And to have all year to work on it love it even more.

For me, I'm a really tight crocheter, for 2 strands of 3 weight I use a 6mm 4 weight is a 7 or 8 mm

@@sherleyouellette9371 great advice!
@@sherleyouellette9371 great idea!! Thank you!!
When I crochet with 2 strands of 4 weight yarn, I usually use an L hook.(8mm hook).
Loving your colors so far.
Such a fun project to work on throughout the year. Always have leftover yarn.
A Granny of many colors ☺☺
I am ready to get started.
